I’m shopping for a CX 5 Select. I received a verbal deal on the Select that sounds pretty good. Would like to confirm with you and ask for tips. Also I wonder if other trims would give me better deals? I’m open to all trims. Thank you in advance!

Since we don't know the MSRP and selling prices of the vehicles, it's hard to comment on the lease payments.

As far as trim, it doesn't really matter what is popular. Each trim comes with it's own set of included options, and you should get the one that you want/need.

Dealers like to quote with a big downpayment, because the resulting monthly payments are smaller. You should ask for payments with no CAP cost reduction, because then, the payment will reflect the actual cost of the vehicle.

All three of those trims should lease similarly, relative to MSRP. The biggest difference will be the MSRP. Units with higher MSRPs will have higher payments.

Thank you! I ended up negotiating for Carbon Edition. The dealer is able to sell the 2023 CX5 Carbon Edition for $30k. The lease will be $3000 down OTD with $373 monthly including taxes n fees. What do you think abt the selling price and lease deal?.

Sorry I meant that the $350 monthly is something Im negotiating with initially and now the dealer is willing to do $366 no less.

Now they’re not willing to get it to a lower number…

Have you shopped around to see if another dealer can do better? That's really the only way you'll know if you're getting the best deal.

Just try to get a deal better than the offer you have. That may be the best you can do, however.

Don't look at the incentive by itself. As you can see, the residuals on those trims are several percentage points lower that the first ones I quoted you.

You have to consider the whole deal - MF, RV and incentives, along with the MSRP and how much of a discount you can negotiate.
