I am being told that the Mf is 0.003 by Dealer and residual value is 53% on GLS450 2023 incoming.

I proposed an offer with MF 0.0027 ( I have tier one credit) and was using a 56% residual value on 36month/10k miles

Dealer cannot alter the residual; it is set by the bank.

Talking about a 2023 GLS 450. I had issues with my 2020 GLS 450 and MB USA knocked $7K off sticker.

Taking a $91,740 car to $84,740.

They're quoting me .00345 MF based on A1 credit, 57% residual, with just taxes and fees up front and two prepaid maintenance at $1,386/month.

Even with the discount is .00345 MF too high in New York?

Base MF for tier A1 is .00270 - therefore yes, the MF is marked up quite a bit.

You won't. That's what allows the dealer to mark it up. Just tell them you want the base MF - though, in this market, that may be difficult.

I am curious, if I turn in my vehicle at lease end and the dealer turns around and puts the verhicle up for sale on their lot, does that mean the dealer paid/will pay the lease residual value to MBFS for the right to sell the vehicle?

That is correct. MBFS owns the vehicle, and the dealer must buy it from them first before they can resell it.

MBFS might have a different price for the dealer. That could be higher or lower than the residual. A dealer certainly wouldn't pay over the market wholesale price for the vehicle, if it happened to be less than the residual.

Once your lease is up, and you turn it in, the car belongs to MBFS, and they'll do what benefits them or the dealer, the most. Your residual is only relevant, if you want to buy it out.

The MF data isn't actually published to the general public, right? Dealing with an NY dealership that looks to be charging .00345 MF for Tier A1.

Trying to get some suggestions to how to get them to abide by the national figures.
