You need to find out if you have equity in your current lease. Get quotes from Carvana, Vroom, Carmax and compare that to the buyout number (which you can get from your bank).

I wouldn't trade early. Acura has all sorts of loyalty programs for those who take their lease to term, and then lease another Acura.

I currently have 7 payments left and I know that my current payments will be less than what my new payments would be, simply because the cost of a 2024 has gone up and the money factor will be higher right now than my current lease.

However, my fear is that because we are in a rate rising environment, that if I wait until next April the money factor may be quite higher making my new payments even higher.

At the moment, the dealer has the model and color combination that I like. They currently do have a $1500 loyalty offer right now. Would that be higher if I waited until lease end?

If not, then I will risk possibly having to pay a higher money factor and they not having the model/color combo in stock when I need it.

Am I just over thinking this all? I'm not used to leasing and am feeling quite ignorant at the moment.

Any thoughts?

We've been in a raising rate environment for 18 months. Most reports see that leveling off, at worst.

You are definitely overthinking.. All of the negative things you are worrying about likely wouldn't make a $25/mo difference in payment. And, the chances of all of them happening are very slim. Keep driving your current vehicle

I did no negotiation and wondering if there's room for a couple thousand dollars off the price of the car or ask for a higher value on my trade in which is a 2020 ASPEC MDX with 38k miles and 1 minor accident reported (the car is now in better shape than before since I waited for my lease to be up this December before having it repaired). I'm not sure how bad an accident negatively impacts the value of the car but KBB shows trade in range of $30,458-$33,029.
