Thank you. If I am custom ordering, can I expect to have any good negotiating leverage? They first dealer I reached out to only offered a 3% discount for custom order. How far can that be pushed given the deal does gets rid of the car as soon as it arrives?

Sorry, we don't track pricing, and can't tell you what's possible on a custom order.

Shop multiple dealers to see which one gives you the best overall deal. A bigger discount from sticker may also have a markup to the MF.

Thanks. That is exactly what I am finding. Big discount = higher MF despite 800+ credit. Don't understand how the actual dealer makes money on the MF....I assumed that was all going to BMW Financial Services. I am clearly wrong.

The dealer makes about 70% of the markup amount, but they get it all upfront, so in effect, all of the benefit of the markup goes to the dealer.
