Yes, I'm in Colorado.

There is an additional $5350 EV/PHEV incentive from the state, on top of any factory level incentives.

I'd want to know how the $3000 up front breaks down - first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee, taxes on the incentives, and, if anything is left over, a small amount of cap reduction.

WHITE gets hot down here in southeast Florida - I know that because I have had several white cars while living here.

The car comes with electric window shades for the two rear doors and a large one for the rear window which reduces the heat - and I always have my front window sun screen up when I park the car.

Yep, paint color makes almost no difference in south east Florida. Unless you’re making a quick in/out stop at a store the car gets hot pretty quick. Cooling seats are almost a must in your hood.

The 2014 C300 is red and the color doesn't matter in Florida, though white seems to be the most popular color. Cooling seats...are you joking, I don't even have a rear view camera

There are a dozen or so people on here who I'd guess would be very happy to answer your question. But, you're going to have to focus the search.

What do you want to do with the car? Long trips or just around town? How many people in the car -- just yourself most of the time or a family of 5? Do you care at all about performance? Not that you're going to get any kind of rocket for $10K, but there are people on here who would prefer being drawn and quartered to driving a Toyota, even though it'll run forever for the most part. If you consider a car an appliance to get you from point A to point B, say so.

Good luck with your search. The things I used to get worked up about in a car are no longer available, so I've lost all enthusiasm related to acquiring a different vehicle, should mine pack it up. Hopefully you're in a better place.

No one can answer that question as posed. A great $10k vehicle for me might be an awful choice for you. It completely depends on how you're going to use it and what type of vehicle you prefer. If I were going to drop $10k on a vehicle today, it would be an older convertible, and reliability isn't a major concern since it would just be an extra "fun" car.

UPS had a delivery and text me and said it would be here on Friday. Then they said it would be here on Saturday. Then they said it would be here on Monday.

It did arrive Monday. The delivery person walked right past this covered porch where the package would be hidden from the road as well as from the rain...


...and left it by the front door, in the rain and in plain sight of anyone driving down the road in front of the house.

It’s reverse psychology. Any porch pirate would look at a package in front of that bright red door and ask himself “why is that package out in the open when it should be hidden and out of sight? IT’S a TRAP!”

I suspect it's the rules from Amazon for proof of delivery. The driver always takes a photo of the package on the ground, delivered. Even though the photo may not show the street number, it shows the environment and proves that's the address to which it was delivered.

I recently me the driver at the end of the driveway and had the driver hand me the package, but then he had to lay it on the ground and take a photo. Pleasant as could be, but he had to take a photo he said of it on the ground.

Earlier one driver photographed a package on the trunk of my Cruze.

The interior is gorgeous....love the colors...or as we say in Canada, colours.
The outside is spectacular too.
It is a great looking car, and it sounds like you cut a great deal....too good to pass up.

It faces east. Gets the morning sun and shade most of the day. There are 2 giant evergreen trees along the road.

Studying nearly 5,000 fleet and privately owned EVs which have spent a cumulative 1.5 million days on the road, the company reports the average EV battery should last 20 years or more. The data shows the average EV battery studied degraded by just 1.8 percent per year, which is an improvement from five years ago when the average degradation was 2.3 percent per year. The best-performing EVs in the new study degraded at just 1.0 percent per year.

The best way to slow battery degradation is to avoid fast charging as much as possible. Fast chargers cram huge amounts of electricity into the battery as quickly as possible, creating a lot of heat. Automakers warn that using fast chargers often will cause the battery to wear faster and only recommend fast chargers for road trips and unplanned stops. To reduce degradation, charge from Level 2 chargers as much as possible, whether at home, at work, or when you’re out on the town. They’re much slower, but they don’t wear down the battery.

5,000 vehicles in the study with a combined 1.5 million days? I think that's a paltry average of 300 days apiece. What is that supposed to tell us about long-term degradation?! Granted, there are many examples of strong resilience out of these batteries, but it seems like maybe this study missed the mark. I can see a study involving 15 million days with 5,000 vehicles being far more informative.

That said, the batteries, charging internals, electric motors and associated power transformer(s) are warranted for 10 years/100,000. That includes at least 70% capacity battery retention over the life of the warranty.

I think Kia has been conservative with their range estimates (~270 miles). Based on the small sample size I made running the battery from 100% charge to 17% (52 miles of range left according to the car's computer), I'll get closer to 310 miles on a full charge. Impressive.

Not bursting any balloons but it seems that mileage can be cut to half in severely cold weather, and aren't you supposed to charge to 80% as charging to 100% also cuts battery life. btw, a friends Tesla ran out of charge, he tried to charge it from 0 and he blew out a generator (I think it was) and it cost $2000 Cdn to fix.
Tesla told him not to let it go below 5%. Those two things alone cut mileage by 25%. Just saying....actually just wondering.......

I don’t know. I can only go by what the owner’s manual says. I can only go by what the warranty states!

My car has a battery heater (for winter months) and a battery cooler (for summer months).

yup. mine, in 7,000 miles, according to the trip computer is at about 40.5 overall. And that is with quite a bit of highway use where it gets lower mileage. Around town I can easily average 45 on a tank. I assume he does a lot of local driving which is the hybrid sweet spot!

mine loved driving from my old house the back way to Schenectady. Perfect speed and rolling hills. I would easily get over 50 driving back and forth to there.

My wife would love that porch too

A miracle occurred here. After 15 days of nothing but me dragging sprinklers around I woke up today and the ground was already wet. We got rain overnight. Pretty big puddle in the road so must have been a good soaking. More should be coming through tomorrow evening so my fresh overseed (to take care of some bare spots) and getting the rest of the original seed to come in thicker should get a nice boost. I am surprised about how well it grew in 2 weeks (as of yesterday) without rainfall.

I thought about a tree in the front after seeing it all done. Maybe next year. There is plenty of room for it.

The close up is of the piece at the top of the driveway in the long distance shot. Our plan is to run the fence behind that big tree and right behind the little pines maybe 20-30’ to the left then turn and head toward the driveway. Then over time clear out the underbrush inside the fence line and reclaim the space as part of the lawn and leave everything behind the fence wild.

When it’s drier out I can get some better shots.
