————————————————- What are the chances that a 14 year old car has seen only 21K miles for the first time. Possible since it’s a Vette but I’d have to check that out closely.

Very likely with those sorts of cars. The ones I am leery about are the ultra-high-performance cars with well under 10,000, since that most likely means it was a track-only car (e.g., multiply the miles by 100 for wear/tear estimates), especially if it has mods!

I don't know about the car being discussed, but I was in the showroom while my car was being serviced when a Corvette buyer told them not to remove the plastic over the seats of anything when the car came off the truck. I got the impression he was trucking it home. I assume he was putting it away.
There are a lot of Vette owners in the area and that dealership supports the local Corvette club.

———————————————— And my 10 year old car (2015 Genny) has less than 12K miles. But I would say your car and my car are the exception to the rule for mileage per age (MPA. Is there such a thing?). And I’m also sure your Mustang just like my Genny shows almost no signs of wear. Again, the exception.

My 25 year old car has 166K miles, the 3 year old car has 73K miles, 33K miles on the 2 year old car, and about 800 miles on the 2 week old car.
———————————————— I doubt all the cars I’ve ever owned had the combined miles your current fleet has.

Hahah; I cheated with my pickup and just bought it with the "winning" hand. Perhaps with some irony, my oldest car is also my lowest mileage one: Just under 76,000 on the 1969 C20. 56 years old now, with 28 in my possession, which is kinda cool since now I've owned it as long as the original owner did! Perhaps longer, to be honest, because he passed away four years before I bought it from his widow.

I've only had one car registered in my name that had over 100K. The '93 Legacy wagon I inherited from my late FIL. Purple, grey interior, 5 speed stick. Had around 140K on it.
Drove it from CO to CA to give to my son as a graduation present. I know that drive is mostly downhill, but I remember averaging 30 MPG over the 1100 miles.
I took the '03 Saturn L300 and '06 Saturn ION to over 90K before I traded in the L300 and gifted the ION to my step son.
Since I am allergic to today’s movies I am immune to these sort of things. I did see an Adam the Woo visit to that place a few months ago when he was in London. Whatever floats your boat I suppose.
I'm with you, not really my cup of tea but she's a HP fanatic so this a must visit. I still found it interesting though, even being relatively unfamiliar with all the storylines and characters.

My wife likes HP too… but surprisingly she also loves Marvel. We always watch the new ones in our movie room. I wasn’t a huge fan but over the years have really come to enjoy them.
I also can geek out because the visuals and sounds really give your system a workout. I’m sure @roadburner and @graphicguy would agree.

I started reading those books to my son, when he was 6 or 7? Maybe, younger. Later, we started reading each other alternating chapters.

———————————————— That sounds like a bad motor starter winding. Hand spinning a dryer loaded with wet cloths takes a lot of effort to do what the starter winding does. l couldn’t do that when I was at my fighting weight. A word of caution to all my poster buddies in here, don’t mess with @xwesx.

I’ve seen the previews for Superman. Do we really need another? There was the original Superman movies in the ‘80s, then Man of Steel about what? 10 years ish ago?

The movie studios all seem to have lost the plot. Most of what they churn out are remakes of remakes, or big-screen comic books with actors mouthing lines in front of a green screen that is filled with CGI effects. No thanks.
I tend to think of years rather than miles in keeping vehicles. The longest we owned any vehicle has been 10 years, for the Toyota Previa and the Buick Encore. Toyota probably had well over 100,000 miles but not the Buick. But the Buick was going to need more repairs than its trade-in value, so time to go!

I’ve only owned two cars with more 100K.
My 79 Continental had probably 270K at least… bought it with “10K” and put 60k on it.
The 99 S10 had about 95000 or so when I got it and I put about 10 k in the 5 years I had it before giving it to my SIL.
The 93 Taurus and 89 Grand Marquis were in the 90s
My 89 Town Car had 66K when I bought it and then 72K when sold.
Nothing else I’ve owned has exceeded 36K
Currently the truck has 1200 and the EQ has 11,500 (it was a service loaner and came with 3500)
2025 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 / 2023 Mercedes EQE 350 4Matic
Oh shoot .. forgot the 04 Marquis that flipped 100K while I had it.
My wife drove the car like three times and she was the one who got to see it turn to 100K.
I rang 99K in with style lol. (This pic was in TX where this speed is legal) 😉
