    Team IAC Upcoming scheduled events....

    Oct 25: Limerock Park
    Oct 26: Giant's Stadium
    Nov 1-2: Summit Point Raceway
    Nov 10: Limerock Park

I expect to see at least some of the DC/MD Crew out at the Summit Event. There are at least 20+ subies registered for that event.

OK, I might be free for Nov. 2. The wife may even let me have the day free, meaning no kids.

Bob - how is your schedule? What time is the racing, mike?

    Oct 26 -> Giant's Stadium

Is 11/2 a Sunday? If so I can probably make it. If it's a Saturday, I'll probably be doing yard work (if it isn't windy).

    Bob
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
It's a Sunday, Bob. Let's plan it. I'm pretty sure I'll be free. The wife gave a preliminary OK so let's run with it before the boss changes her mind! LOL

Sounds good. I should probably head over to your place, and then we can take Rt. 28 over to 340. It's past Harpers Ferry, which ever is the best way of getting there.

    Bob
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Yeah, Rt. 28 is just a couple exits north from me. What is it, a couple of hours?

  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
Assuming we don't get lost. ;)

    Bob
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    I'm good at that.

Actually, I'm a pretty good navigator/map reader, even took a course at UM.

  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
Summit Point is a few miles past Charlestown, West Virginia. I think at the far end of Charlestown you turn off of 340 on to some road, which takes you right there. Maybe another 5–6 miles or so down that road...

Is there any cost to getting in Mike?

    Bob
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
He told me it was free.

Well, looks like you'll have 2 extra bodies in your pit crew, mike.

You gonna run the SVX? Is hypov joining us?

    -juice
  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
    SVX? Hell no.

    SVX is retired from racing.

The FrankenL is the racecar now. You'll get to see the trailer and trooper too! :)

Glad to have you guys down! It'll be fun.

Yup just outside charlestown WV and cost is free to watch :)

    -mike
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Free? Why that's my favorite price! :o)

Can't wait to see FrankenL. I ought to donate something for it. You want an STi short shift lever? One 15" steelie?

paisan: You'll get something off my Forester one of these days, I'm sure. ;-)

    Have fun at the track.

Shifter knob? Hmm it's an AT!!! :)

Hey ed, we are thinking of painting it STi Pink, what do you think?

    -mike
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    We'll make it fit! LOL

    My bad...

I can bring distilled water for the battery.

  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
as you're the driver Mike. All you'll need is a pit crew recruited from Mary Kay Cosmetics. ;)

    Bob
  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
Well we figure once it's not painted primer, we need some flair for it so people will say "what the hell is that!"

    Maybe florescent orange?

    -mike
  • rshollandrsholland Member Posts: 19,788
may very well be a fluorescent color. It's used with such discretion; it's hard to tell.

    Bob
  • lark6lark6 Member Posts: 2,565
I came up with my original paint scheme for you in order to take advantage of the existing green body panels, so you wouldn't have to repaint them.

If you're going pink maybe you could replicate the scheme of the Porsche 917 "pink pig" from the early 1970s! It was painted to resemble a dressed pig and labelled with the various butcher's cuts of meat. Has to be seen to be believed.

How 'bout a camo color scheme?

    I'm half joking.

    -juice
  • hondafriekhondafriek Member Posts: 2,984
Don't know about the states But VW marketed a multi coloured Golf in Canada, forget the year but every panel was a different colour they called it the harliquin.

      Cheers Pat.

one of those around every once in a while. Made you look! Pretty bizarre though. Speaking of ugly, my neighbor actually has one of those lime green Neons that Juice is so fond of mentioning. Hilarious, that makes 4 of them.

    A neon Neon, yikes!

I bet Dodge will drop the name, seems so last decade now.

See MTM for my version of the story, and I'm sticking to it! ;-)

Good time, mike, thanks for inviting us out. Not exactly kid friendly, so I'm glad I came out without my daughter. I had a blast, though.

Loved the racing, of course, but also the pit conversations, and checking out the cars. Very no-nonsense, enthusiast crowd, tight community feel to it. And lots of Subies! 1/3rd of the cars in one race were Subarus.

Cool. For the others, mike drove solo, so when you see 2 people in Franken L, it was a different driver.
