Ed - To me, he doesn't look like either Burt or Charles...
Somehow, the car pictured bears no resemblance to the Dodge Chargers of my youth. Isn't the idea of retro to get us old guys to buy the updated dream car of our youth? DC missed the boat here!
Jim
They figure the old guys can't see without their bi-focals. Which of course due to a memory lapse, they can't remember where they left them.
DaveM <introduced to bi-focals at age 38.5>
Cheers Pat.
On top of which, we can't see without our glasses so we can't find them!
Still, that car looks more like my Legacy than the classic Dodge Charger with the Hemi engine.
Jim
Pallet of tile on foot? OUCH!!!
Steve
At least not make us see Mr. Brown TWICE!
-Dave
Too much like the color of dried blood. I was okay with it at first but it's wearing one me.
Ed
Note sure I'm crazy about the new color scheme, but for me the biggest change was the text got smaller. I'm running a very high resolution (1280x1024) but it was the same before and the text was bigger.
The text in this message body appears big, though.
When does Subaru debut the B9 Tribeca again? Is the press release tomorrow?
-juice
Bob
I am psyched! Woo-hoo!

the blue is easier on the eyes ...
Steve
Thanks!
edit: and now here's one for in my box for Richmond. That, at least, is the right time zone, but still far too far.
Though the attached might be of interest. Not sure why it appears to be news here in Australia but thought you may be interested.

I'm off to Meet the Member, Bob, that is, to go to the airport. We fly in tonight and I'll try to get on-line tonight. We hit the show tomorrow.
I hope to have some pics up tomorrow night, and I'll try to pop in and share some overall impressions. Interior pics are few and far between so I may try to focus on those. Maybe under the hood and the undercarriage, too.
-juice
Hope you and Bob have a great time. Take lots of pictures (of course you will) and keep us all up to date!
Mark
404'ed!
Hey folks, we made it, and I'm on-line in the hotel room. I can peek out my window and see Windsor, Ontario. The RennCenn is gorgeous! Much nicer hotel than last time around.
Of course the internet was free at that last hotel. ;-)
They got us each a press kit, very nice! We meet for dinner with the Subaru folks at 7pm; the show it tomorrow at noon. Pics will be up tomorrow night.
OK, so...requests? Specific things the Crew wants photographed?

Not me!
Cheers Pat.
I was going to suggest you grab the non-posting poster and give her a group hug from all of us, but it sounds like she didn't make the trip - I guess it'll have to be virtual.
I suppose you could hug Bob - just don't bang your head on that helmet.
Steve, Host
Had dinner and talked shop the whole time, very excited about tomorrow.
Got both cameras linked to this PC so I'll try to upload pics tomorrow night if time allows.
-juice
Oh yeah, and have lots of fun!
Mark
It's likely the Legacy would get updates that the Tribeca got (Nav, MP3, aux), so I'll be sure to ask about those.

Thanks!

NOTE: The Subaru Crew Chat has been moved up one hour to 8PM ET on Thursday for this week only. This is because we have a guest chat with Chrysler Group Chief Engineer Burke Brown about the 2006 Dodge Charger! Check out the schedule
So if it is 8PM ET, what time is it in Melbourne, Australia?
Cheers
Graham
I believe it would be 11AM on Friday, 1/14.
I looks like Melbourne is +15 hours from EST.

Steve
Tribeca - niiiiiiiiiyyyyyce. Especially the interior. Seriously, I looked at the MDX and Tribeca back-to-back, and it makes the MDX interior look dated, and even the materials aren't as good.
I got 228 photos I'll be uploading soon. Check the Tribeca thread, maybe some will be up tonight (I hope). I'm beat, though.
Overall impression of the grille was that it doesn't make much of an impression. In person it's really not that big. For fun we measured and it's 12"x16", while the Dodge Ram is 20 something by 50 something.
The grille insert is also recessed so you don't even see it from the side. I think we all made a big deal about nothing. Pretty funny.
The headlights look great. It has two "blisters", i.e. the surface has bumps that peek out, which looks very cool. Overall very nice impression that makes the Porsche Cayenne seem uninteresting from a design standpoint.
I'll share more in the other threads soon.

So, I wonder what they'll preview at the Chicago show? They have previewed something worthwhile the past few years (F-XT, new Outback). New WRX facelift? Oh if they were to show a Legacy spec-B.....
-Brian
Better still, they really do follow these boards, so express your opinions folks.
Believe it or not he actually guessed Bob's handle here on Edmunds!
Pics are up in Tribeca thread, 119 of the Subie and 27 I took of competitors to compare and contrast.
