Graham - The good news is that he's not a sales person but the Chief Engineer.

Ed - To me, he doesn't look like either Burt or Charles...

Somehow, the car pictured bears no resemblance to the Dodge Chargers of my youth. Isn't the idea of retro to get us old guys to buy the updated dream car of our youth? DC missed the boat here!

They figure the old guys can't see without their bi-focals. Which of course due to a memory lapse, they can't remember where they left them.

Brenda, don't you know if you want to pick up germs a Dr's office or the hospital is the best place to go:-)

      Cheers Pat.

On top of which, we can't see without our glasses so we can't find them!

Still, that car looks more like my Legacy than the classic Dodge Charger with the Hemi engine.

Too much like the color of dried blood. I was okay with it at first but it's wearing one me.

    Bronson, LOL.

Note sure I'm crazy about the new color scheme, but for me the biggest change was the text got smaller. I'm running a very high resolution (1280x1024) but it was the same before and the text was bigger.

The text in this message body appears big, though.

When does Subaru debut the B9 Tribeca again? Is the press release tomorrow?

Thank you!!! I just thought (seriously), that it was just me.... I was having trouble reading some of the longer paragraphs as the letters seemed to be merging together!

Post your comments about the site re-design in Our Software". If any changes are to be made, that is the place to let them know what you do and don't like.

    Thanks!

to the B9 unveiling in Detroit! No mention about who pays for airfare.

edit: and now here's one for in my box for Richmond. That, at least, is the right time zone, but still far too far.

    G'day

Though the attached might be of interest. Not sure why it appears to be news here in Australia but thought you may be interested.

Loosh: you got a little baby to take care of. ;-)

I'm off to Meet the Member, Bob, that is, to go to the airport. We fly in tonight and I'll try to get on-line tonight. We hit the show tomorrow.

I hope to have some pics up tomorrow night, and I'll try to pop in and share some overall impressions. Interior pics are few and far between so I may try to focus on those. Maybe under the hood and the undercarriage, too.

    Too many hits! LOL

Hey folks, we made it, and I'm on-line in the hotel room. I can peek out my window and see Windsor, Ontario. The RennCenn is gorgeous! Much nicer hotel than last time around.

Of course the internet was free at that last hotel. ;-)

They got us each a press kit, very nice! We meet for dinner with the Subaru folks at 7pm; the show it tomorrow at noon. Pics will be up tomorrow night.

OK, so...requests? Specific things the Crew wants photographed?

    OK, so...requests?

I was going to suggest you grab the non-posting poster and give her a group hug from all of us, but it sounds like she didn't make the trip - I guess it'll have to be virtual.

I suppose you could hug Bob - just don't bang your head on that helmet.

  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
I'll try not to grunt when I hug him. ;-)

Had dinner and talked shop the whole time, very excited about tomorrow.

Got both cameras linked to this PC so I'll try to upload pics tomorrow night if time allows.

any updates to the Legacy, especially the GT LTD. OR if there is anything relating to Spec-B. Thanks juice! Rob M.

Are there going to be changes/additions to the '06 Leg GT and OB XT? Anything worth waiting for.

Oh yeah, and have lots of fun!

  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
No worries, Bob is all over the Spec B. Though the people we've asked so far knew nothing about it, so maybe it's not coming after all.

It's likely the Legacy would get updates that the Tribeca got (Nav, MP3, aux), so I'll be sure to ask about those.

Thanks, juice. I almost fell off the fence last weekend over an Atlantic Blue/Taupe GT LTD sedan. My service writer keeps saying that there will be another Legacy in March and to wait, but will give no details ...

Due to the Dodge Charger Chat event this Thursday, the Subaru Crew chat will be held one hour earlier.

For the sake of my marriage, DON'T tell me if there are any significant upgrades coming to the Legacy/Outback for 06. My wife couldn't handle it if I had to get a new car so soon.... she just doesn't understand the illness I suffer from.

Sounds like you're having a great time! I can't wait to see some pics. Sylvia is asking if you would be so kind as to also post any photos in the Auto Show Season 2005 - Members Meet up! topic.

    Thanks!

I looks like Melbourne is +15 hours from EST.

'06 models - no news. As usual they were tight lipped. But they weren't even sure if new models would even be ready by Chicago.

Tribeca - niiiiiiiiiyyyyyce. Especially the interior. Seriously, I looked at the MDX and Tribeca back-to-back, and it makes the MDX interior look dated, and even the materials aren't as good.

I got 228 photos I'll be uploading soon. Check the Tribeca thread, maybe some will be up tonight (I hope). I'm beat, though.

Overall impression of the grille was that it doesn't make much of an impression. In person it's really not that big. For fun we measured and it's 12"x16", while the Dodge Ram is 20 something by 50 something.

The grille insert is also recessed so you don't even see it from the side. I think we all made a big deal about nothing. Pretty funny.

The headlights look great. It has two "blisters", i.e. the surface has bumps that peek out, which looks very cool. Overall very nice impression that makes the Porsche Cayenne seem uninteresting from a design standpoint.

I'll share more in the other threads soon.

But they weren't even sure if new models would even be ready by Chicago.

So, I wonder what they'll preview at the Chicago show? They have previewed something worthwhile the past few years (F-XT, new Outback). New WRX facelift? Oh if they were to show a Legacy spec-B.....

One contact was not sure, the other was very tight-lipped and would not even discuss the topic of future models. He did express interst in feedback.

Better still, they really do follow these boards, so express your opinions folks.

Believe it or not he actually guessed Bob's handle here on Edmunds!

Pics are up in Tribeca thread, 119 of the Subie and 27 I took of competitors to compare and contrast.

Ok, so earlier in the week, I'm thinking ... class on Thursday night .. no chat .. but wait! I get out at 9:40 (even if they keep us the full time on the first night of the semester) and I can get home in about 15 min so MAYBE a few minutes to sneak in ... maybe MORE if they let us out early ... and then there's the announcement that chat will be an hour earlier than usual .... :(

    see ya
