I am being quoted 38,500 for a touring 2010 model with no extras. Has anyone been in the market for a 2010 touring recently, I am in southern california and the tourings are quite hard to find. Any opinions on the price would be appreciated..
Thanks,
vik
Unlike the other high volume dealerships in Charlotte, they were professional and aggressive on pricing. The only other dealerships that came close was Metro in Union County and Honda of Rock Hill, but they had a limited selection of Odysseys.
The dealership in Concord - avoid at all cost. Same with the other ones in Charlotte.
Good luck!
This time around, I do not see the same leasing benefits, which does not surprise me except that borrowing costs ought to be low.
What did you pay OTD for your 2010 EXL with RES and NAV?
Did you have much negotiating back and forth?
what was your initial offer?
I paid 30,538 for car price +TTL. OTD is 33,717 in South OC, CA.
I got a quote from Overstock.com.
do you think is it good price?
Also who is the dealer in NJ ? This is the lowest price i have heard in NJ so far
That was a good price. I've been tracking it for a while now since June. I've seen at least 4 posting by autobrag since then, and the lowest one I've seen for an EXL with RES is 30,500. I don't think they're offering that price any more. I was looking for a Touring, and at one point had 4 offers for 35K (before tax etc.), but then the C4C happened, and they suddenly became sold out.
Price 23,849.00

The accessories on the 2009 will get you almost no value back at trade in or selling time.
i don't know exact #, now.
OTD just includes sales tax(8.75%= around $2700), registration ($465) and doc fee ($50)
I got the las t2009 EXL -RES. They have severa l2009 LX and 2 EX.
There are not any more 2009 EXL and EXL-RES.
I don't know about 2009Touring.
i got internet price through www.overstock.com.
As I know, it suggests the cheapest price.
I got quote for 2010 EX-L for 30500 + TTL around 32800 OTD. Is this good price? It is near Cleaveland, OH.
It looks that many people prefer EX-L over EX. Why?
what the price before tax, tag etc...... could you please split the prices, and do you have any options like cargo tray, weather mats etc.... i am also looking for 2010 EX-L with RES, thanks
In the first table you can see that SUVs, minivans and big car sales seems to have fallen the most ( for all manufacturers combined ) in September 09. If you scroll down the page and look at sales of individual manufacturers, under the "American Honda" section you can see that domestic truck sales have come down by 17.8% and import truck sales have come down by 53% compared to September '08. If similar trend continues in the month of October, Honda may have to do something drastic to boost the sales of minivans and whatever else comes under the truck category. So I kind of agree with what drivmywifecrzy is saying. I wish and hope they bring back the big rebates.
whats the price you have got before tax, title etc..... is it around 31700-31900 range? please reply, I am planning to buy the same this week. thanks in advance
I am scouring for the last remaining 09 Ody and runs into an interesting situation. Since not all dealerships list their inventory, I called around for those, looking for a Touring. This one place switches and bates me in for an 09 EX-L with RES and NAV (unusual combo at this time). Of couse, when the wife and I got there, none is to be had, and the salesman was pitching for the 10 Ody hard. Since I told him the reason I was hunting for the Touring was for the bumper parking assisted alarm for the wife, he suggested that a combo of EX-L with RES and NAV could have aftermarket installation for ~$500, and voila, a Touring equivalent. They have a 10 EX-L with RES and NAV in stock, and asked for 34.7K. I showed them the TMP for the 09, and bargained for 33K. The manager pushed and said if I sell it to you at that price, will you buy today? I didn't do the homework for the 10 Ody, but did have a quote from one place while hunting for Touring, which asked for 35.8K. I stuck to my gun, and said yes! Well, they blinked, and called the manager of the manager, who haggled down to 33.25K. I thought it was a good deal, but still walked away, since there's plenty of 10 Ody to bargain for. Since then I've done my home work, and didn't see any rebate currently offer for the 10 Ody.
My question is:
Should I go with this offer, or should I continue to wait past Nov 2 (when the new rebate incentives will be out) for the remaining 09 Ody?
Is the EX-L with RES and NAV with bumper assisted parking alarm aftermarket installed truly is equivalent to a Touring? If so, maybe shopping for a 09 EX-L with aftermarket RES + NAV + bumper parking assisted alarm is a better deal? (for the 10 Ody EX-L + RES + NAV + bumper parking assisted alarm would be 33.75 before tax etc, which is way better than TMP Touring at 35.7).
Any comment is appreciated. Thanx.
Will there be new rebate incentives for the remaining 09 odysseys?
Are you speculating there will be one just like me? BTW if you go to autotrader.com and search for new cars and select the year 2009 you can get an inventory of all the unsold 09 vehicles.
Read up on PAX on the Touring. Might be something you decide to stay away from.
could you please share the info, which dealer is offering 2010 Odessey EX-L with RES + NAV for 33.25K, I am in san jose,ca. where are you located. i am also looking for the same. thanks in advance.
thanks
2010 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES ( Polished Metal Metallic with Gray interior)
I got final quote (after 2,3 rounds in and out to his manager the sales guy offered) for $32,700 including destination charges and the following accessories worth $600 installed on it. I got these prices from honda site. I am not sure whether they are really that much, but the sales guy told its of worth $750 with installation.
Note: I have only opted for these accessories.
Wheel Locks $81
Door Edge Guards $55
Splash Guards $107
All Season Floor Mats $209
Cargo Tray $117
First Aid Kit $30
anyhow to keep the story short I have offered final price of $32,300. then he turned down my offer and told me he can not sell the car below $32,700. may be i could have cut the deal for $32,500 but i have walked out. that price is before tax, tag etc....
I need your feed back guys
is it the best price? 32,500.
or can I pay 32,700 or stick to my offer and see whether sales guy come back to me for 32,300 ? please suggest, thanks in advance.
so my OTD price would be assuming I get the van for $32,500 + $ 461 (DMV fees) + 3006 (9.25% sales tax in CA) = $35,967.
Selling Price: ........................$31,280.88
Dealer Fee: ..............................$595.00
Plus waste tire fee state fee .......... $5.00
Plus battery fee state fee .............. $1.50
Plus document handling fee ........ $98.75
Total Taxable amount ............ $31,981.13
Plus state and county sales tax $1,901.85
Plus state tag, title and regis fee . $375.00
Total charges $34,257.98
Hope this info helps someone.

Thanx for all with your input.
The dealer was Hardin Honda in OC.
BTW, they sold that one the next am.
thanks
No, I don't think there will be one. Someone suggested autotrader search, and there are not that many 09 Ody left in CA (< 20 - maybe 10 now, mostly LX, EX, and a few EX-L).
We have a problem with bird bombs in my neighborhood.

According to this, you're closed to great price.
On the other hand, being a devil advocate, I'd say:
1. Like someone commented, your 09 Touring depreciates 3K the minute you drive off the dealer's curb.
2. At one point, I had 4 offers for 35K for an 09 Touring. Back then, there was a $2500 rebates to dealers. Taking TMP of 35.7K, dealer lost .7K, but then gained 2.5K or a net margin of profit at 1.8K. Currently, there is $1250 rebates to dealer expiring 11/2. Assuming, 1.8K is the minimal margin of profit a dealer would accept, 36.4K seems like a reasonable offer (though I've been told in non-polite terms by some internet managers along the line of overstock being delusional). By this calculation, their minimal margin of profit seems to be 2.3K. (I just notice that the url says incentives = 0, so hopefully I am not delusional).
Off topic, out of curiosity, does anyone know what a dealership do with these left over Ody? (assuming there will be no forth coming rebates, waning consumer interest in yester-year model, and competing incentives for the current year model)
I was pursuing the option of upgrading an EX-L all the way to a Touring equivalent, but have abandoned that approach. First off, I am told by a few dealerships that adding NAV to an EX-L is not possible. Second, some places say it is possible to install aftermarket RES whereas some places say it is not. The parts for parking assisted alarm is ~$673 (alarm plus mounting, etc) plus labor (I assume not cheap). I figure ~1K for the alarm, 1K for the RES and you're skirting the margin of a Touring already, sans the NAV which is impossible to add. If all the bell and whistle of a Touring is what you desire, I'd go for it.
Hope this help.
Can anyone share a better offer for EX-L around here?
Do you guys think better wait until Nov 2 for the new incentive/rebate or Christmas season?
thanks~
