It was Pompano Honda. Yes it does have Navi. They only had four of the EX-L V6 models with Navi left. They had plenty of the other models. I worked with Chris in Internet sales.
What brand and type of tire are on the 2007 SE I4 and the LX I4? My 2005 Pilot had the Goodyear "Lack of Integrity" tires which I replaced before the second Colorado winter driving season. I'm hoping that the tires on these Accord models do not have tires that are poorly rated in the tirerack site's survey results, which would be an added expense. Thanks for the help of anyone who recently purchased one of thes models. Ralph
From the '06 and '07 Accords I've seen on the street, I think they are Michelin MXV4s. Not sure about the specific model, but they are definitely Michelins.
I recently received an offer from Sport Honda for $18,160 plus $595 Freight and $49 Document processing. I took the offer to Honda of Bowie and they matched it. Price paid was $18,160 plus $100 dealer processing, $595 Destination, Tax 943 & tags $162. Total OTD $19,960. MSRP was $23,350 and it came with usual pinstripe, mudguards and wheel locks.
Depending on your geographical location and inventory at the dealer(s) lots, your price will vary, but you should try to aim for a sales price including destination for under $19K if possible. For instance, I paid $18,134.85 (see post #15715) while ddwmew paid $17,465.83 (see post #16032) for the same vehicle about two weeks apart: an I4 EX 5AT here in the Northern VA/DC area from two different dealers. These prices are not including destination (freight), tax, tags, proc. fees.
Of course, if the local dealers in your area aren't willing to negotiate/deal, you may need to fly/travel to a larger city where competition is more aggressive to buy the car. That was what iamime did (see message #16103), flying from Louisiana to the VA area to buy an I4 EX-L 5AT saving $3100 over his local dealers prices!
Just wondering but since Honda of Bowie only matched and not beat Sport Honda's price, didn't it cost you more at Honda of Bowie since their proc. fee is higher ($100 vs. $49)? Or I'm guessing that location was a factor?
Yes there were a few reasons I chose to pay $51 more to the Bowie dealer. First I live about 5 miles from the dealership and they had a color that Sport did not have. Also I had bought two cars from Sport from the former internet rep and he did not want to deal so I would have had to deal with a different sales rep. Also the car had a few options which I got for free.
Responding to the query about the SE Manual, I have an offer for 17,000 + $250 Doc fee + TTL in southwest Ohio for this model. It appears all dealers are charging doc processing fee in my area.
This forum is really useful and lot of valuable inputs. Researched for less than a week and able to get an idea about the reasonable price.
Finalized the deal with Sports Honda, Silver Springs MD after receiving multiple quotes. The sales associate was very helpful and the entire buying experience exceeded our expectation. They stayed late for us and still they didn't rush through the process and explained the details about the car in a very detailed way. It helped us, since we had to drive back to different place on the same evening. No sales pitch...offered warranty at a reasonable price, which we accepted and we will be able to keep it if needed or we will cancel it within 60 days.
Ok.. the purchase details
EX L Auto 4 cyclinder
Base price : $20,263.77 (rear wing spoiler and splash guards) Destination: $595.00 Dealer fee : $49.00
Sub Total: $20,907.77
NC sales tax = $627.23-3% Tags : $157.00
Final: $21,692.00* on the road/out the door registered in the State of North Carolina with options rear wing spoiler and splash guards
Note: This vehicle is purchased at Silver springs and registered at NC. They handled this process also pretty smooth.
Thank you for your posting. I saw it Saturday morning and called the internet manager at Keenan. I picked up an SE that afternoon for the same discount. I was there today to get some spots cleaned on the body since we left the dealership late Saturday. My understanding is the discount has now been reduced to $2k, since they met there sales target. This is still better than I could find anywhere else in PA or NJ. Very good dealership to work with. I am very satisfied. They gave me a fair trade in value and the tags and title were competitively priced. They have a good selection of vehicles. I will probably go there for service, even though they are not the closest dealer. I would definitely recommend this dealership!
Did they give you at least the same as KBB? They really want to make ton of $$ from my trade. After I wanted to take off from their parking lot, they gave me another $1,250 on my trade less in than 1 minutes. However, it's still lower than KBB or even auction # so I did not get the car.
By the way, I find the dealer to be less friendly, IMO. I know many dealers try to be BS a lot to sell a car but this one seems does not care (do too little to sell a car).
Many thanks to all who have posted their information here.
Based on others' experience, I was able to negotiate a price on a VP-AT for an even $15,000 at Boch Honda in Norwood, MA. Ma tax is 5% ($750), title and tags are $84.50, and doc fees were $298. Total OTD was $16,132.50.
For those who are interested in some of the analysis I did, I looked at what others have been reporting and saw that, on average, aggressive posters have been getting in the neighborhood of 83% of invoice price. Using that as my bogey, I pretty quickly got Boch to come down from their initial quote of $15,500 to $15,100. The last $100 came off when I complained that their $300 doc fee was pretty steep.
For those looking at other trim levels, my general conclusion was that the following prices for AT 4 cyl models (including destination) are doable for dealers:
VP - $15,039 LX - $16,159 SE - $16,902 EX - $18,167 EX-L - $19,557
People who have been reading this forum will note that ddwmew got his EX for $18,060 (and that I got my VP for $39 less than the above prices), so keep in mind that there may be even more money to be saved, but I think these are good guidelines.
Another conclusion I have come to from this experience and from buying my other car is that the bigger dealers (by volume) just have more leeway to make better deals, as they seem to get enough of an incentive-- based on aggregate sales-- to be really aggressive on individual cars.
I also have to agree with other posters that Boch, which claims to be the largest dealer in the country, was very easy to deal with. I called and asked to speak directly to a sales manager, and the guy I got was straightforward and no-nonsense. By contrast, both Honda Village and Herb Chambers tried to convince me that for this price, the car would not come with tires (of course, Herb Chambers then called me back to say they would meet Boch's price-- which was too little, to late). Other than the fact that I had to make two trips to Boch-- once to pay, and then, again, 2 days later to pick up the car, dealing with them was relatively painless, and I recommend them to anyone in the area.
Thanks again to everyone else for posting all of your great data. Enjoy your new cars!
I am from Indianapolis. I was in the market to buy an accord. I purchased an EX. I looked all around here in Indianapolis and I didn't like the prices. I bought mine from Honda of Lisle for 19057. I also talked with Valley and they will beat others prices. Lisle was great to work with and no pressure.
Alright guys, I have given up on DFW market. The dealers here are not offering much discounts below invoice. Getting upto $1000 below invoice is common, but then they start adding unnecessary stuff to jack up their prices again.
I can't devote any more time to Honda, will either go for a Toyota Avalon or Saturn Aura. Good Luck to all Honda lovers.
Don, can you please verify you purchased an '07 accord ex sedan I4 at (with automatic transmission) from Honda of Lisle, for $19,057 plus tax, title and license. I am trying to make the same purchase tomorrow. Thanks.
EXL-V6 in LA. Quoted 22614 plus tx&l. It sounds like a real good deal at a 4.99 interest rate. Does anybody think it will be any better next month. Although by next month I don't think there will be good color choices.
Has anyone found any better? Originally wanted a LX-V6 but not many to choose from.
I keep hearing this is high, but WHERE do i get it for cheaper, can somebody point me to a dealership in Arizona or California that can do a VP auto at $18k?
Slightly less than KBB after negotiating. However, there price for the SE was over $1200 less (plus tax) than the next quote. Still a very good deal. It was not worth the time to keep looking or worth selling the old car on my own. There are not many dealers near me. They are starting to run out of this Honda model. The dealer honored the price they gave over the phone and no monkey business with the title and registration. They also give one free option - rubber mats, trunk liner or mud flaps.
Here in Cincinnati, I have to agree with other posters that the good deals are not as good as early July. My theory is that dealers are waiting until August, when Honda corporate will get more agressive with incentives. Then we might see dealers hit the $1000-below-invoice threshold again.
I purchased my Accord coupe EX Auto 4cyl. at Norm Reeves in Cerritos last Saturday for $19,700 plus tax, license, and document prep. fee. It was roughly $21,600 OTD.
What's wrong with the deals in Cincy? Honda East is doiing $24,042 for the EX-L V6 and $25,127 for the EX-L V6 with NAVI. These are no-haggle prices emailed from their website. I picked up my Graphite Pearl Accord last weekend.
22k for exl-6 no nav, no haggle but did not get fees etc.,. just a test drive vs the 4 , wanted nav & looked like 22,500. Looking at the v6 altima but am put off by the price
Finally put down a deposit on an SE 4Dr I4 AT. Will write more about the buying experience soon. Need to ask a few things out here before that.
1. The dealer I am buying from did not have the color I wanted but offered to get it from another dealer at no extra charge. I asked on a whim what kind of mileage would be on this car. He said 50-70 miles since the car would be driven to the dealership. I asked him if he could get one with lower mileage but he said even cars on their own lot have 30-50 miles on them. Is this kind of mileage usual on "new" cars?
2. They are throwing in wheel locks. Are there any other extras worth bargaining for? Is there any place I can research the prices (including installation) for stuff like door guards?
3. Since, I am getting a car which would have been driven a bit, should I be checking for anything other than scratches/dings, leaks and tires?
1.Think 30-50 is still new. Think about all the demo drives in the color you like. 2. Mud Guards, cargo tray. I don't like door guards. 3.I always check every car I buy for at least 10 minutes for any cosmetic dings.

Should I be aiming for under $20K, or can I go even lower, like $19K?

Can you guys tell me what you think of a deal I have been quoted. $14,473 + TTL (This would include my trade worth about 3,000) .
Thanks for the input.

VP $16,759.00
LX $18,114.00
SE $18,747.00
EX $20,305.00
EXL $21,843.00
My local dealer started things off at almost $23K,($22,700ish) which is definitely far too steep for the "Honda Clearance."
Since I'm out of town though, I'll handle it when I get back.
I can't devote any more time to Honda, will either go for a Toyota Avalon or Saturn Aura. Good Luck to all Honda lovers.
See ya.

Has anyone found any better? Originally wanted a LX-V6 but not many to choose from.
Try to negotiate an upgrade to an EX if they won't come down on price; otherwise, look elsewhere.
I think someone got one for $15K.
$20,254 + TTL -- includes tint, trunk tray, splash guards, and wheel locks. Total drive out is $21,752.
I have a feeling that once the '08 is unveiled that prices may drop a little.
All the dealers I received quotes from (the 3 largest in the Nashville area- Trickett, Crest, and Darrell Waltrip) all quoted $22K for an EX.
$19255 at Gunn Honda.....no leather, no sunroof. Saw one yesterday...very tempting! But prices go up after today....
Good luck!
