Thanks! Leigh
One of the reasons I pulled the trigger on my $32.7/$33 w/splash guards and wheel locks- deal is that I think that's as good as can be done until or unless Honda puts an incentive on this vehicle. My bet is that Honda will not do that for a long, long time. Toyota has not yet put anything on the Sienna. For an EX-L/RES, $32,700 represents invoice minus all of the holdback---so true cost.
Thanks,
-Uday
I was able to get 3 of the larger dealers in the Chicago area to bid vs each other over the course of a month. Each time they came down more and more until I got to invoice pricing. They started at $1500 over invoice in mid-Nov and slowly came down until I got them to invoice.
Last weekend I walked into the Honda dealership in Aurora, IL ready to buy and gave them the price they needed to beat/match to earn my business. Told them I was serious and ready to put $500 down so they could begin searching for my vehicle. Also told them if they didn’t want to beat it, that was OK as well as I was going to go to their main competitor down the street (which was true). They didn’t want lose the deal, so they came in at invoice to win my business.
They were great to deal with, very responsive, very professional. My salesperson was outstanding which is why I ultimately gave them first/last chance. They originally didn't have the van, but were able to do a dealer trade and had it in 2 days.
$33, 793 – EX-L w/ NAV price including destination
Since tax title and plates may vary it doesn’t make sense to include the otd price.
Also had a trade in, but handled that separately and they were willing to match the CarMax price (was a $300 difference).
They told me no one has gotten one for less than $500 above invoice (bet that say that to everyone), but from reading the forums it sounds about right.
Lastly, they did try to gauge me on accessories (floor mats, body side molding, cargo tray, splash guards, etc...), so I just bought that stuff from Bernardi Parts and am going to have a body shop in the area install the molding for $50 vs the $249 the dealer was going to charge me Shipping was minimal strongly recommend Bernardi for accessories.
Anyway, just wanted to pass along my success story good luck!

Pretty happy based on what i had been quoted earlier. I'm sure time of the year and month helped a lot. I probably could have pushed a bit harder or gone between dealers but it wasn't worth it for a few hundred dollars.
By the way, Bankston said they would not come off MSRP on the Touring model so looks like those are still in high demand around here....
I'll check back if anyone has any questions.
Price - 31569.22

Excellent service from capital honda. They stayed late till 8:50 PM to get me processed. i felt good going there. I contacted them first thru sams club auto buying program and then went with a quote from a chicago dealer.
Brighton Honda wanted $500 more. The sales man's actual question was how much higher can you go?
I walked in and they kept their word on the price. I requested each dealership I contacted provide all other charges to make sure I could do a proper comparison. I must say MD's 6% sales tax on cars was painful to swallow.
I'm just starting my search and received a quote that I'd like opinions on if it is good. It's for a 2011 Odyssey EX-L with Navigation. The quote is:
$32,468
+ 100 title and reg fee
+ 299 documentation fee
+ MA sales tax
I'm located in MA.
Any help on if this is a good price is much appreciated!!! Thank you!!

I just joined sidelines since last few weeks figuring out the current good offers for Ex-l. I finally decided to actively start shopping and am ready to make a purchase.
Do any of you have a offer price (or something thats negotiated as well) on this model. I am not quite into the RES or NAV. So for now decided to stick with simple Ex-L.
Can you give me a referal if any of you had made a recent purchase in NJ (central or North).
Did any of you get a good deal ? Was it web only or did you go in and negotiate. What worked best for you? Pl share..
I just sent a request to couple of dealers and waiting on to hear some quotes. I plan to start making calls and talking with one or 2 of them at first.
Thanks everyone.
Please help me in this, if you know about pro pack?
This pro pack contains floor mats, fog lights, and ....etc
The relative value wholly depends on what is included. It sounds like your situation at least concerns some accessories which you can easily price on-line to determine value.
I've been following this forum and find it really helpful. It's my first time buying a new car so I'm not sure if these fees are mandatory or not to pay besides the price quoted by the dealer.
Destination charge, Title and Plate fees, Sales tax, documentation fee.
Also, if anyone could post how much they paid for for the EX-L with DVD in MI, it would be helpful. Thanks!
Depending on where you are, doc fees may vary by dealer and/or be negotiable.
Any Recommendations/Knowledge on specific dealers selling AT or BELOW Invoice?
Open to any and all dealers in greater Los Angeles. Even willing to drive down to San Diego area too.
I will most likely lease.
If you can share your numbers as well, that would be great.
Thanks!
Doc fees are usually a function of local market forces. The non-negotiable norm here in Ohio is $250 while in Florida (the highest in the country) it seems to run from $400 to $600.
Just look at it as part of the price. When you get a fair number of quotes you'll have a good idea of local market conditions. In my experience, at least one dealer will always sell for less - just solicit quotes until you find that store.
2011 EXL-RES
$33,200
dealer fee:589
tag & doc fee:89
Included 4 free oil changes and window tinting at front windows
Is this a good price or can get better one?
please need advice.
$33485 $200 under invoice with Add ons - cargo tray, wheel locks, nitrogen and mud flaps
Dealer fee -$597
I contacted 10 dealers and asked for the email address of the Internet sales manager. I then sent an email requesting a quote from each manager. Quotes ranged from $33485 - $33630. I then negotiated with the top three dealers.
The Internet sales manager at Crown (jack) was professional and a pleasure to work with.
Does the $33200 price include the $780 destination fee?
if not, very good price indeed!
Who are you working with at Braman? This seems to be a lot better than what they quoted me a few days ago. I'm nervous because this dealer doesn't have the best reputation in south Florida. Does $33,200 include the destination charge?
After a lot of haggling and going to different dealerships, the best offer i have got for a 2011 Odyssey EX-L w/Navigation:
-$32800 + tax(7% in NJ)
-$780 (destination fee)
-$400 (doc fee)
-$400(Title,Tags and Registration--i am based in NJ)
-$500 (remote starter)
Is it a good bargain? Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks much!
