EX vs. LX, ya, I think most will NOT find the LX's around, so the Pilot-MDX $$ spread is going to be a little thinner. Anyone who has a deposit on a Pilot have it on an LX or non-nav/res EX?
And I'm not saying a thing about MSRP!
It's pretty easy to get aftermarketing window tinting done. Some prefer it to the factory job because they don't like the percentage tinting the manufacturer does (manufacturer generally has to go to a lowest common denominator for what is legal across all states -- and some folks get their windows tinted beyond legal limits).
What is your point? Why would anyone steal an Onstar antenna??
Many things in life are useless when stolen. Please explain to me why your statement has any bearing on the subject of Onstar?
Don't forget, we can always simply scroll past those posts we don't want to read and we're not obligated to respond to those that are clearly argumentative!

BTW, my Pilot is going to be built this Sunday and I should have it about 1 week later. It's a redrock pearl EX. Can't wait!
Someone proposed Odyssey or Pilot, considering the price difference and the abilities of the very good Honda van I would take the van.
That's where I started, somebody got mad, so I told a joke. Now you are all slamming me. Oh well I'm here to stay. Keep making dumb comments about my car or myself, it just helps further my resolve.
1. family capacity
2. high seating
3. ground clearance > 7"
4. AWD
Which one will fit the need is clear.
Oh ya and the company that makes it has a higher quality rating than Honda and is just as reliable too!
I'll give you a hint...... Famous golfer endorses it!
WEll, MSRP is higher than I was hoping. Gives the dealer too much of an advantage when starting negotiations. Still not a bad price for what you get, but I was hoping to steal one of these. :-(
AW has a quick and dirty review.
And the press pics at the Wieck site are more entertaining than I expected.
It is a big difference. However, you can buy an MDX Premium with the Navigation package and the difference is not as much. Though the difference -- $4,220 -- is certainly significant.
Understand?
I don't care who speaks for what. It doesn't really matter I was just helping the guy out. The vehicle does meet his criteria, and it is a better value than the Pilot.
Gotta problem with that? Tell Honda.....
That picture is great, had to save that for my stack.

(I own a 2002 Bravada). Most manufacturers can only dream of having their vehicles sell like the MDX and Pilot, for list price and above! Honda knows it's buyers well. I can't wait to see the posts once vehicles arrive at the dealerships.
Oh yeah, one final thought (gm_litogation you listening?), if Honda puts out junk like my Bravada, they will be bankrupt in a year. More problems than my previous 6 vehicles combined and I've only had it 3 months (it's been out of service for 16 days so far).

The Buick has an extremely nice ride and is quiet, I of course haven't had the chance to drive the Pilot for comparison. I personally don't drive my vehicles where the Pilot's HP advantage will show. As long as I can get to 75, I don't care if it takes 3 seconds longer for one or the other. The Buick also will go for about 5K under sticker after rebate, so a CXL equipped similarly to an EX-L even with a sunroof should go for about $27K all said and done, vs $31K. It's just hard to find a CXL on the lot that they didn't put the stupid HUD and memory seats and sonic backup alarm that drive the thing up to where the price advantage for the Buick completely goes away.
I've got a refundable deposit on a Redrock Pilot EX-L, and I've had great service from my CR-V. I've heard people say that the Pilot is nothing but a really big CR-V. We can only hope! But I still will have to at least give the Buick a chance and give both of them a drive.
It would be nice if I could figure a total cost of ownership estimate for the Pilot, like Edmunds does for current vehicles.
I think that and the prices separate the Pilot from the Buick. Other than that, it's all subjective (looks, 0-60 in 9 vs. 11 seconds, reliability).
One nice advantage of the Pilot over the MDX -- some folks have only one or two Acura dealerships near them. While many are good, some sure aren't, and you're stuck with them if you want the MDX. Meanwhile, one's likely to have significantly more Honda dealerships around.

This is my predicament and I cannot decide. Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
TMV for a new Oldsmobile Silhouette GLS Extended is $29,300.
Lets check your math using actual NADA resale values.
New Odyssey EX/L - 30,100 + 8% Tax = $32,500
1999 NADA Trade-in - $19,200
New Olds GLS - 29,300 - $2000 rebate + 8% Tax = $31,500
1999 trade-in - $15,300
The Honda loses $13,300 and the Oldsmobile loses $16,200. Certainly something to consider, but the difference becomes insignificant if you lease or keep your car more than 5 years.
Oh, and for $1000 less purchase price, the Oldsmobile comes with: power passenger seat, heated mirrors, wood trim, 2 driver seat memory, OnStar, and fog lights.

What's the problem?
