2008 BMW 335i Coupe (auto, sports package, metallic paint) MSRP: $44,425 Invoice: $40,950 TMV: $44,100 My Sale Price: $43,580 Acquisition: $650 Down Payment: $1500 Residual: 60% Money Factor: .00205 (w/ seven MSD) Monthly Payment: $618/36 months
Once I get a couple more quotes I'll try to get a bit more off the sale price and maybe knock another .00005 off the MF to get down to the base rate of .00235 (minus .00035 for the MSD's).
am I in the right ballpark here? any reason to expect to be able to get a MF below the base rate for November?
I will probably drive more than 12K miles a year, so to be safe, I would get 15K miles a year so I will have some cushion and be able to do more than commute to work and drive around my local neighborhood. A BMW sounds like it would be a good lease choice (as far as higher-priced brands) because of high residuals and having both warranty and full maintenance covered during the entire 40-45K miles I expect to drive in 3 years. Do California dealers have mostly stock of 2007s or 2008s now? The 2007s have lower residuals, but I would imagine there would be some kind of incentive that would give a 2007 a lower lease payment than a 2008 or who would bother leasing a 2007?
In case I have to go with a 2008 to find one equipped the way I want, what are the current lease rates and residuals for a 328 automatic no navi for 36 months 15K miles per year? How much are the security deposits and how much of a break do you get for extra security deposits? What is the limit on max security deposits?
Is around $500 over invoice a realistic cap cost for a 2008 328 sedan automatic with premium package, metallic, comfort access, logic7 and cold weather/folding rear seat package? (I like the way Sport package looks, but I don't want the penalty of higher purchase price, hard ride and the extra cost of fast-wearing ultra expensive replacement tires) MSRP $40875 Invoice $37640 Price wanted: $38200 With no cap reduction, would the payments be in the $500s or higher before tax?
Would I be able to do much better if I could find a 2007 I liked?
Is the base 328 sedan cheapest to lease by far because of lower MSRP or does added residual or a better MF on coupe offset higher MSRP? 3 year 15K per year lease. I prefer the looks of the coupe to a point, but not enough to pay much premium for it. I'd go for a coupe if I could lease for around the same cost similarly equipped.
I am fortunate enough to have the option of buying a 2007 or 2008 BMW 335i Sedan. I was hoping to get opinions on how much you would offer to pay above or below invoice when not needing to factor in financing or leasing options.
Looking to buy with the Sports package/Auto/Sirius.
Hi guys, From the previous posts, I've gleaned that you're all quite knowledgable with anything BMW. Making my first BMW purchase this weekend in So.California, previously owned a cute Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus. Finally decided to upgrade to a 2006 325 i. Have seen a few out there...ranging from $28K to $34K with mileage in the 20-30K range. Only interested in CPO. Pretty much no additional options, except automatic transmission. I'm going to try and negotiate for $25.5K. Do you think this is reasonable? I really think $34K is ridiculous, considering you can get an '07 328i for that much. Any advice?
I was wondering if anyone opt for the European Delivery program with BMW, I think you save about 3k off the invoice. But I think the savings will be insufficient due to the FX rate, I just might end up paying more. I guess it can't really be considered a savings if I have to fly to Germany to pickup the car. Any thoughts, good deal or bad idea?
Well, this is what the dealer quoted me for $43,850 ($46,850 non ED) with the following options before any sales tax, registration, etc: -Premium Package -Cold Weather Package -Comfort Access -BMW Navigation System w/iDrive -Power Rear Sunshade/Rear Manual Side Window Shades -Manual -Jet Black
This is the first dealer I went to, I definitely have to shop around and get more quotes.
I appreciate your suggestions and help for my journey to find my first BMW. I purchased a 2008 328i sedan with sport option at Autobahn Fortworth today. The car price was $34620 which is invoice + $750. Of course I paid $350 Maco + $180 training fee + Texas inventory tax. After TTL, I paid about $37047 out the door. The whole process is like breeze. First, I found out invoice price from the link, www.bimmerfest.com, our host KYFDX (I hope that I remember right) put in this forum. I was able to calculate the wholesale price from the list. Then, I sent out emails to several dealers in Dallas area that I intend to pay $750 + invoice. Some dealers responded with higher initial price and some never responded. Eventually, two dealerships proposed invoice + $750 to me. I chose Autobahn even though it is farther than the other dealer as the CA was right to the point and the communication was excellent. After I arrived to Autobahn, I found that the CA I communicated with was the general manager! It took me 30 minutes for the paper work and I'm enjoying my driving in a new BMW. The name of the general manager is Aaron. I wish that any potential buyers in Dallas area would have a pleasant experience as I had. Thanks, JJET
Our buddy from Texas seems to have gotten a pretty good deal. Do you know how long the ED delivery takes for someone in Texas?
I'm contemplating ED & seriously considering working through an east coast dealer so as to get the car a month (or more) earlier than I would if I dealt with a local or SoCal dealer that would have to deal with a Pt. Hueneme delivery.
Texas is in the middle -- do they truck them from CA, truck them from NJ, or actually deliver them to Houston (or wherever)?
I don't know where the Texas cars come in... If they come in through NJ, I doubt going East Coast would save that much time... It only takes a truck 1-2 days to drive to Texas from NJ. It isn't like they work any harder to get the close-by dealer's cars out of the VPC.
Now, if they come in on the West Coast, then you might shave off 7-10 days by getting an East Coast dealer.. But, then you'll have to fly up and get the car, then drive it back.. Wouldn't be worth it to me, to save a couple of weeks on re-delivery.. Have you seen the price of gas? :surprise:
I've been intrigued by Shipo's report of getting his car (NJ) in 4 weeks, as opposed to the 8-10 weeks advertised for the left coast. I do business in Pt. Hueneme & see where they come in.
Besides which, I also do business in New England, and would dearly love to pick up my new ED car and break it in on a pleasant cross-country drive. I used to drive for a living & still think a long day is only anything over 800 miles.
This is the latest deal I have on the 335xi - any thoughts on the following two questions: 2008 BMW 3 Series 335xi 4dr Sedan AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 6M) Auto BMW assit Heated front seats
MSRP: 44100 Invoice: 40 660 TMV: 43 880
Dealer offer: $42, 165 + tax + 197 doc fee + 351 DMV fee (4 yrs). It comes to $1500 over invoice. Dealer claims that $600 is advt. fee + dealer fee. Also they'll include carpet/mats.
1) from the forum it appears that most of them target $750 over invoice. This appears to be double - should I look at anything other than edmunds invoice? 2) Whats the best deal for basic 335xi to lease, say 12K, 36 months? 550/month + 2300 due at signining?
33, when you play the invoice + $$ game, dealers lump in certain fees in the invoice cost. For example, I just bought a car that was roughly $900+invoice, but invoice included $400 worth of fees (MACO and training). Some might consider these fees bogus, but they are fees that the dealer has to pay. So, when you factor in invoice + $, make sure you take into account these fees. Of course, there are also bogus fees out there...
I ordered a 2008 335 coupe in September. At the time, the buyrate money factor for a returning customer (which I am) was .0020, or so I was told. Now that my car has been delivered, I'm being told that the money factor has increased to .00235, which subsequently increases my monthly payment by approximately $30 (not insignificant). Am I being jerked around by the dealer or did the rates really increase that much? Given that all other market indices (LIBOR, Treasuries, etc) have seen markedly lower rates, I'm finding this difficult to swallow. Any feedback as to whether this increase in rates is valid, and why, is appreciated. Thanks.
$30,300 is a good deal. You said it has the premium package, but does it have the sport package as well? the sport is valued at $1700. What did the price look like after taxes? I bought a white 2006 325i with 4k miles on it premium + sport package for $34000 out the door (everything included).
Here's the thing.. the .0020 for 335i coupes in September was for 2007 models, as near as I can tell. I don't think they had even published the money factor for the '08 models, at that time.. (maybe, but I can't find it).
The first month that I can see published rates for the '08 model is October, and that is .00235, just like November.
I can't say whether they mis-quoted you the '07 model rate in September, or maybe they had some info that I don't... But, as near as I can tell, there has never been an .0020 MF rate for the '08 335i coupe..
Hope that helps... kyfdx (sorry about the $30/mo, though)
I am looking to purchase my wife a '06 330i or 330xi in January. Can anyone tell me if I can expect BMW prices decline in January because of the new year? If not in January, when should I look for '06 prices to decline? Thanks.
If you are serious about looking for a 2006 330i, send me an e-mail as I am considering selling mine before the winter. It's showroom condition, and I usually store it from December until late March. brianbonacci@yahoo.com
Just leased a 2007 335i coupe this weekend. This was a demo (though never titled) with 10,000 miles on it. The car is fully loaded with Nav, Premium, and Sport Package.
Here is the deal I got on the lease. Does this sound decent?
Original MSRP: $51,800 Price Paid: $41,800 (remeber it had 10,000 miles on it) MF: .00210 Total due at signing: $2600 (1st month+sec+title+license+maco+training+ $1000 cap redcution) Monthly Payment: $572 (including taxes)
I live in Utah, where there are two BMW dealerships (within 20 miles of each other). I'm looking at an '08 335xi, and neither will budge more than $100 from MSRP. I've already walked out of both dealerships after test drives, and neither came chasing after me. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the price I have to pay to get an in-demand car?
Reading all of your quotes I once again shake my head at Canadian dealers. Unbelievable prices in relation to the going-rates in Canada.
I bought a 2006 330i about 4 months ago w/ 22,000 kms on it (approx. 13,500 miles). Fully loaded - everything except for Nav and the sport package. And came with a set of winter blizzak's on BMW rims, BMW assist and over half the warranty remaining.
$41,000 + tax.
While it was a steal compared to most used listings (autotrader ect). It is way more than you guys are "fortunate" enough to pay.
I am considering leasing a 328i sedan but the only option it does not have that I would want is the xenon lights. Do the halogens look the same with corona rings when lit up? Do the corona rings act as DRL's as well? I've never had a BMW without xenons before. The car has Premium, Sport, NAV, Auto/Paddles, Htd Seats, USB. If it looks the same I will probably not care but if doesn not have corona's I'll keep looking.
Regarding price, I have been quoted only $1000 of MSRP on the 08 coupe and $1000 over invoice on the 08 sedan. Is anyone doing better in So. Cal?
Suprisingly, my insurance company told me that they will cover no car with the 335i engine so that helped with my choice to go with 328i. Better call first!
Hi bmwmrc1; can you tell me whom you was your CR? I live in OC and found your posts very helpful. Please email me back; I had a few questions. Thanks alexmk74@hotmail.com
I am looking to buy a 2008 335i sedan next month. I am not sure how to go about negotiating the price. I plan on putting half down and financing the rest. I live in south florida and most bmw dealers down here have a "take it or leave it" attitude. I went on edmunds tmv and this is what i got:
335i sedan premium package sport package steptronic paddle shift comfort access
MSRP: 46275 Invoice: 42615 What others are paying: 46042
It has been for a couple of years that I and my friends are not buying/leasing our Bimmers in Miami but rather from elsewhere due to our dealers not really being willing to give decent deals. For example, I buy my Bimmers in New York, where the pricing is much more reasonable; I also order most of my cars, as I am pretty picky when it comes to the equipment, which is actually even better for the dealer, because it appears that my ordered car has no impact to their quota as well as inventory, which then results that when ordering the car for me they are willing to give me a good deal. In other words, it appears that they are willing to earn a decent markup above invoice for just filling up the order form + MACO or whatever other fees are usual in NY. I usually save about $60+ per month in lease price when I lease my Bimmer from them as opposed to the "best deal" in Miami.
I have got the selling price from different dealers and they r as follows: I dont know if destination included or not for some dealers.
Dealer1:$39,165 (destination not included) Dealer2:$39,095 Dealer3:$39,195 Dealer4:$38,725 Dealer5:$38,900
Which one do u think is good deal or do i have to negotiate further. Exactly how much will cost for License, Registartion, Documentation, Smog & Tire Disposal, Electronic filling and other extras?
Please help me folks. Did anyone buy a new 2008 BMW with the same options I selected? I'll realy appreacite ur help.
My 328i is in dealership now. I will go pick it up this weekend. I'm trying to get opinions and comments on BMW's extended service contract and warranty. Is it a good idea to buy both the extended service contract and warranty? If only one is worth the money, then which one? Is it a good idea to buy it now or wait until just before the regular warranty expires? Any comment will be appreciated.
>>Regarding price, I have been quoted only $1000 of MSRP on the 08 coupe and $1000 over invoice on the 08 sedan. Is anyone doing better in So. Cal? <<
With a small amount of work I found two dealers in the L.A. area willing to do $500 over invoice for a sedan. Note, though, that they included MACO and a training fee in their invoice, which totaled an extra $460, I think. So make sure you are clear on whether or not the invoice price includes those fees, so you are getting apples to apples comparisons.
We'll need more detail in order to tell you whether this is a good deal or not.
What equipment, packages? (sport, premium, navigation, automatic, etc.) What is the MSRP and what is your agreed selling price? (capitalized cost) How much are you putting down (customer cap reduction) Are you making any security deposits? (as part of the $3600 out the door) How many miles per year? Residual would be something like 65%, not .0018. The .0018 would be the money factor. What is your sales tax rate in your area?
With this information, someone can tell you whether it is a good deal or not.
Hi basebimmer, i live in southbay, calif also and in line for a BMW. I'm a BMW rookie and kind of new at this luxury auto purchasing. My debate is over 328 or 528. Recently got a quote from alleged internet manager :
2008 BMW 528i Alpine White/Black Leather/Dark Wood Trim Automatic Transmission Premium Package Heated Front Seats Navigation System iPod/USB Adapter MSRP $50,175
We can offer that vehicle to you for just $47,735 + applicable taxes and fees. (Edmunds 46175) and comparable 328i : $36,540 + applicable taxes and fee
According to edmunds, it's about 1200-1300 over invoice. Who was your contact person at SouthbayBMW? Thanks.
Hi...I bought my 2007 sportwagon with premium and sport package for 38,325.00 This was the invoice price and was brand new. Got it at Vista BMW in Florida...hope this helps ...jack
Hey Jack, I'm currently looking to lease a 328i. How did you ever make out with all the problems that you had with your car?
I also live in FL and have been to Vista as well as Lauderdale BMW. Thinking about making a trip to Miami to Braman. Did you have any dealings with the others dealers. How did you feel the service at Vista was?
Hi Harry....it turned out fine...the service department and sales department guys are great. The car drives alot better after Hans in the service department corrected my steering and tracking problem. It took him 4 times though to get it right...or close to "right". Turns out the problem was not really with the car, which by the way I love, but with the run flat tires. I think i got a good price on the car which was fair to both parties and I would recommend buying a car there. Hope this info. helps. Jack
Here's the deal I'm offered on an 08 335i sedan. Premium, sport, automatic, iPod, Cold Weather, metallic paint, comfort access: 47,675 MSRP. Edmunds invoice 43890. Quoted 46,000, which supposedly is $1500 over their dealer invoice, including advertising, set up, training fees. (Although they won't actually show me their invoice?????)
So, 47675 MSRP $118 services fee?, $1675 discount for cash pirce of $46118. Sales tax of 2352.02, owned vehicle payoff of 119.50??? (no trade), totalling 48589.52 complete.
Although I did not see anything re title, license, etc.
I leased a similar car last week here in Virginia:
08 335i Sedan Sparkling Graphite Black Dakota Leather Metallic Paint Steptronic Premium Package Sport Package Cold Weather Package iDrive/Nav iPod Connection Paddle Shifters Satellite Radio
My MSRP was $49,870; invoice was $46,265 (inc. $200 MACO and $180 training fees). My final cost was $47,320. This works out to $1,055 over invoice, or $2,550 off MSRP.
I hope this helps. Good luck. The car is incredible.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and response. I am in the process of purchasing my first BMW. It's a 2001 330ci, black on black leather with power soft top, premium and sports packages and 74,000 miles. The interior and seats are in perfect condition. The exterior 4 minor flaws: needs valve cover gasket replaced, has 2 very small dents, has a ding in one wheel from a "curb check", and the BMW logo on the hood is peeling.
We have negotiated to $18,000. In addition they will fix the valve cover gasket and have the :confuse: door dings repaired prior to delivery. This is NOT being purchased through a BMW dealer.
1. Is this a good deal? 2. Any worries with not purchasing through BMW? 3. I read something on this site in the past about BMW's service program. Does a car this old with a secondary owner (not CPO) apply to this program, or am I on my own? 4. I also read something about BMW's extended warranty plan. Can this be purchased separately without the car and is it recommended?
Thanks so much...very excited about my first BMW!!!
i'm cross shopping the TL-S and 335. I have driven both and each has their pros/cons. you get more bang for the buck on a TL-S as you can get them for as low as $35k, and current MF at Acura is .00081. very attractive.
but while the TL is a nice car, and nicely equipped for that price, it's FWD, and nowhere near as fast as the 335. when i drove the 335 i loved it.
my question is - i can probably lease a TL-S with nothing down and pay only $450/month.
how close can I come to that on a similarly equipped 335 sedan? what if I was willing to give up NAV, and only get a more modestly equipped car - steptronic, paddle shifters, sport, climate, but leave off NAV...
also - i'm figuring i'd spend at leas 1000 bucks on routine maintenance on the TL over th life of the lease. the BMW would have that for free...so that's at least another 30-50/month in "saved" costs by going bmw.
basically, i'm wondering how close in price I can get a 335 compared to a TL-S. if it's going to be 100-150/month more for the bmw, i'd probably just get the TL. but if it's under 100 diff, I'd be tempted to splurge and get the bmw.
I suggest that you check out the 3 Series Leasing forum on this site, there are a lot of recent lease deals posted from various members around the country.
Equipped as you list it, the 335i sedan with limited options would MSRP at about $43,300 (no premium package, no metallic paint, no leather). You may or may not find such a car in your local regional inventory, so you may have to order the car equipped that way. If you get the internet managers at various dealers to compete for your business, you should be able to get close to $2,000 off of that, putting you at about $41,000 before fees. Residuals are 61% for 3 yrs, and base money factor is .0020. Dealers will add to the cap cost a bank fee, "MACO" and training fees totaling close to $1,000 unless you can negotiate them down, and you'll have to pay one month's security deposit or your money factor will go up by .00015. This will put you at a 3 year lease of a bit more than $600 per month, depending on the miles per year. One way to reduce that is to pay multiple, refundable security deposits. You can pay up to 7 of these deposits, and each one will buy down your money factor by .00007.
Be aware that BMW 3 series comes only with run flat tires and no spare tire. Especially on sport package equipped cars, there is only one replacement tire and it is the oem Bridgestone that comes on the car. Tires on the sport package cars are high performance summer tires that will probably last only 15K miles, and it is likely that you will only find replacement tires in stock at BMW dealers, at close to $2,000 per set, installed, so factor that into your financial formula. Some people deal with this by removing the run flat tires before they wear out and replacing them with regular tires of the appropriate performance category, then plan to re-mount the run flats just before lease return. They also have to deal with the problem of having no spare... (vaious options exist).
They're both amazing cars, but very different. My son just got a low mileage used 2006 TL. It is very luxurious and roomy, and the interior and electronics are amazing. The BMW is far more of a sports machine, with incredible acceleration and fluid handling, but the interior of a lightly equipped 335 will not be nearly as luxurious as a TL. The cars are so different that they are really not in the same market segment. IMHO you really need to ask yourself what kind of car really appeals to you. Also take a look at the Infiniti G35 sedan. Performance close to the BWM, rear drive, better electronics at a much cheaper price. Not as roomy as a TL and I don't know what Infiniti lease rates are, but it is certainly a competitor.
Very, very helpful post -- lots of good (& accurate) stuff in a relatively short post.
Well done!
Besides the RFT situation on the BMW, you're stuck with no dipstick & an oil sensing system that had a lot of initial problems (maybe they're fixed by now, but who knows?). Getting rid of the dipstick is the solution to a problem I certainly don't recognize.
the invoice price i got on edmunds was 44170 (2008 335i sedan). there are 3 dealers in my area with the exact car i want. should i go and offer 45K plus tax/tag/title and be firm? is that high or low? I am thinking 45,300 MAX.
yes - they are different cars. both are 4 door sedans, but one is more of a luxury car with *some* sportiness and the other is much more sporty (but still luxurious).
if $$ were not anobject I'd go 335. but i'm trying to be practical. practical is not always fun.

2008 BMW 335i Coupe (auto, sports package, metallic paint)
MSRP: $44,425
Invoice: $40,950
TMV: $44,100
My Sale Price: $43,580
Acquisition: $650
Down Payment: $1500
Residual: 60%
Money Factor: .00205 (w/ seven MSD)
Monthly Payment: $618/36 months
Once I get a couple more quotes I'll try to get a bit more off the sale price and maybe knock another .00005 off the MF to get down to the base rate of .00235 (minus .00035 for the MSD's).
am I in the right ballpark here? any reason to expect to be able to get a MF below the base rate for November?
(I like the way Sport package looks, but I don't want the penalty of higher purchase price, hard ride and the extra cost of fast-wearing ultra expensive replacement tires)
MSRP $40875
Invoice $37640
Price wanted: $38200
With no cap reduction, would the payments be in the $500s or higher before tax?
Would I be able to do much better if I could find a 2007 I liked?
I prefer the looks of the coupe to a point, but not enough to pay much premium for it.
I'd go for a coupe if I could lease for around the same cost similarly equipped.
The sedan will be much cheaper to lease.

Well, this is what the dealer quoted me for $43,850 ($46,850 non ED) with the following options before any sales tax, registration, etc:
-Premium Package
-Cold Weather Package
-Comfort Access
-BMW Navigation System w/iDrive
-Power Rear Sunshade/Rear Manual Side Window Shades
-Manual
-Jet Black
This is the first dealer I went to, I definitely have to shop around and get more quotes.
Sparkling Graphite Metallic paint
Premium
Sport
Heated front seats
Xenon lights
Steptronic
Initial quote from dealer: $38,740
My goal is to try to knock off another $500 for a selling price of $38,200. MSRP is $40,675. Good deal or can I do better?

This is the latest deal I have on the 335xi - any thoughts on the following two questions:
2008 BMW 3 Series
335xi 4dr Sedan AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 6M)
Auto
BMW assit
Heated front seats
MSRP: 44100
Invoice: 40 660
TMV: 43 880
Dealer offer: $42, 165 + tax + 197 doc fee + 351 DMV fee (4 yrs).
It comes to $1500 over invoice. Dealer claims that $600 is advt. fee + dealer fee. Also they'll include carpet/mats.
1) from the forum it appears that most of them target $750 over invoice. This appears to be double - should I look at anything other than edmunds invoice?
2) Whats the best deal for basic 335xi to lease, say 12K, 36 months? 550/month + 2300 due at signining?
I bought a white 2006 325i with 4k miles on it premium + sport package for $34000 out the door (everything included).

(sorry about the $30/mo, though)

Thanks
Here is the deal I got on the lease. Does this sound decent?
Original MSRP: $51,800
Price Paid: $41,800 (remeber it had 10,000 miles on it)
MF: .00210
Total due at signing: $2600 (1st month+sec+title+license+maco+training+ $1000 cap redcution)
Monthly Payment: $572 (including taxes)
I bought a 2006 330i about 4 months ago w/ 22,000 kms on it (approx. 13,500 miles). Fully loaded - everything except for Nav and the sport package. And came with a set of winter blizzak's on BMW rims, BMW assist and over half the warranty remaining.
$41,000 + tax.
While it was a steal compared to most used listings (autotrader ect). It is way more than you guys are "fortunate" enough to pay.
Better call first!
can you tell me whom you was your CR? I live in OC and found your posts very helpful. Please email me back; I had a few questions. Thanks alexmk74@hotmail.com

Please help me folks.
Did anyone buy a new 2008 BMW with the same options I selected?
I'll realy appreacite ur help.
Thanks in Advance.
Is it a good idea to buy both the extended service contract and warranty? If only one is worth the money, then which one?
Is it a good idea to buy it now or wait until just before the regular warranty expires?
Any comment will be appreciated.
I ended up buying from South Bay BMW.
i ordered a 328i from costco dealer contact. but i have yet to walk in and get the details.
please let me know asap as im going this coming weekend. i need to know what im working with.
im being offered at bmw lease glendale
355 with tax
3600 out the door
24 months
that comes out to aprox $500.00 a month if i breakdown 3600 in 24 months plus $355.00 monthy payment. residual is .0018
is this good?
What equipment, packages? (sport, premium, navigation, automatic, etc.)
What is the MSRP and what is your agreed selling price? (capitalized cost)
How much are you putting down (customer cap reduction)
Are you making any security deposits? (as part of the $3600 out the door)
How many miles per year?
Residual would be something like 65%, not .0018. The .0018 would be the money factor.
What is your sales tax rate in your area?
With this information, someone can tell you whether it is a good deal or not.
Best wishes.
328xi Wagon, 2007 mY
Options:
Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
STEPTRONIC automatic trans.
Xenon headlights
$41490
Edmunds has $39,860 as invoice, and $40498 for TMV. Not sure how accurate those are but this seems a little high to me?
2008 BMW 528i
Alpine White/Black Leather/Dark Wood Trim
Automatic Transmission
Premium Package
Heated Front Seats
Navigation System
iPod/USB Adapter
MSRP $50,175
We can offer that vehicle to you for just $47,735 + applicable taxes and fees.
(Edmunds 46175)
and comparable 328i : $36,540 + applicable taxes and fee
According to edmunds, it's about 1200-1300 over invoice. Who was your contact person at SouthbayBMW? Thanks.
I'm currently looking to lease a 328i. How did you ever make out with all the problems that you had with your car?
I also live in FL and have been to Vista as well as Lauderdale BMW.
Thinking about making a trip to Miami to Braman. Did you have any dealings with the others dealers. How did you feel the service at Vista was?
Thanks
47,675 MSRP. Edmunds invoice 43890. Quoted 46,000, which supposedly is $1500 over their dealer invoice, including advertising, set up, training fees. (Although they won't actually show me their invoice?????)
So, 47675 MSRP
$118 services fee?,
$1675 discount for cash pirce of $46118.
Sales tax of 2352.02,
owned vehicle payoff of 119.50??? (no trade),
totalling 48589.52 complete.
Although I did not see anything re title, license, etc.
Input appreciated.

I have driven both and each has their pros/cons. you get more bang for the buck on a TL-S as you can get them for as low as $35k, and current MF at Acura is .00081. very attractive.
but while the TL is a nice car, and nicely equipped for that price, it's FWD, and nowhere near as fast as the 335. when i drove the 335 i loved it.
my question is - i can probably lease a TL-S with nothing down and pay only $450/month.
how close can I come to that on a similarly equipped 335 sedan?
what if I was willing to give up NAV, and only get a more modestly equipped car - steptronic, paddle shifters, sport, climate, but leave off NAV...
also - i'm figuring i'd spend at leas 1000 bucks on routine maintenance on the
TL over th life of the lease. the BMW would have that for free...so that's at least another 30-50/month in "saved" costs by going bmw.
basically, i'm wondering how close in price I can get a 335 compared to a TL-S. if it's going to be 100-150/month more for the bmw, i'd probably just get the TL. but if it's under 100 diff, I'd be tempted to splurge and get the bmw.
thanks.
Regards and good luck in your decision.
Well done!
Besides the RFT situation on the BMW, you're stuck with no dipstick & an oil sensing system that had a lot of initial problems (maybe they're fixed by now, but who knows?). Getting rid of the dipstick is the solution to a problem I certainly don't recognize.
yes - they are different cars. both are 4 door sedans, but one is more of a luxury car with *some* sportiness and the other is much more sporty (but still luxurious).
if $$ were not anobject I'd go 335. but i'm trying to be practical. practical is not always fun.
thanks again
