So I think i am going to buy a 2006 model since the local dealer just shot me the pricing on the 2007 models and they had a few 2006 models left, one demo model at a good price below 30k with nav. Does anyone know what Factory incentives they have going on and deals on loans..

    Thanks,
    Dil

    Caltman,
Please help me out here. The internet sales person at Buerkle is killing me! I'm giving him another chance to sell me a remainig 06 TL with OR without NAV and he starts by offering me a DEMO Non-Nav with 5.5K miles for 30.6K. I'm hoping that you know of another person over there because I'm really stuck. The internet guy at Bloomington is still unwilling to give me a price and I'd rather not go to either dealer if they are going to waste my valuable time.
My email address is visible in my profile.

I am definitely not a salesman!
I did my homework and offered what I thought were reasonable low ball offers at the time and they bit...I went in with a list, by stock number, of cars I was interested in on their lot as well as the same for 3 other Acura dealers in the chicago area (created these lists on Sunday drive arounds)so they knew I was a motivated buyer. I had gone in 1 week earlier and test drove and ended up with a salesman's name/card. Had agreement on car prices before I went back with wife to test drive and do deal.

1st week in September I purchased a new 06 TL auto with Nav alabaster silver/quartz including destination price was $31,800 including $1k dealer cash plus add tx 7.2% and title.

They were also willing to honor a low ball bid on a new 06 TL w/o nav same color including destination of $29,800. My wife really liked nav so I went with that.

They were firm but nice to work with and would do again.

    good luck

Holy Cow man, that's an awesome deal.

I was in Acura Mission Viejo and only a few nights ago, they wouldn't budge below $37k out the door for an '06 Black, Auto with Navi and Full Body kit (which is about $3k retail supposedly)... their sticker on it was $40k.

I ended up purchasing through a Car Shopper with my Credit Union for $35.4K out the door for the car (note this is with brand new, Auto, Nav and Body Kit)... that breaks down to $31.3k plus $900 for complete body kit, plus TTL.

Congrats on your KILLER deal.... I sure as hell am glad I didn't end-up buying there at Mission Viejo.

This forum is great! Over the last few weeks I have been debating on a VW 3.6 Passat or an Acura TL. The forum has really helped answer a bunch a questions and I have learned a great deal. Needless to say I am picking up my new TL '06 TL (No Nav) tomorrow morning.

    Price $29,200
    Tax & Fees $2,144
    Total $31,344

Dealer threw in Ipod link, mud guards, wheel locks and trunk mat.

    Thanks a lot everyone.

I choose the TL instead too. I loved the Passat. If anything the car PERHAPs is more of a drivers car (GERMAN!) and seem nicer on the inside than the TL. A loaded one without NAV was about $2500 to $3000 less than my TL. But when all things considered. Relibility, Resale, overall dealer experience, Premium brand and YES, VALUE ($29,500), the TL is the better buy. I looked at the otehr comptitors, and I just could not justify spending the extra $6K to $10K to get a compatible car. The Lexus ES350 was a very nice car, but a little too soft. The Infiniti G35 has a lot to be desired. Maybe the new one will be really nice, but again, you are looking at about $5000 higher since they will be no deals in the beginning. Anyway, I can go on and on. I am happy with my well balanced TL and I am sure you will too.

That is a good price for the TL. What dealership are you buying it at?
  • dentildentil Member Posts: 8
I'm not sure about the Seattle area but in Portland Oregon I couldn't get the rock bottom prices seen on this forum but through the internet sales person at Acura of Portland was able to negotiate 32,600.00 for an 06 Silver/Ebony with NAVI fresh off the truck with 5 miles on the odometer. My out the door price with TTL (no tax) was 32,818. It was a great buying experience, totally satisfied. We love the car!

Also for all those who have mixed feelings after reading other reviews on this forum about the interior squeaks, rough ride and uncomfortable seats, don't believe them!! This is one fine car!! :)

Hi there. What dealership did you use?
  • dgrazdadgrazda Member Posts: 18
I finally pulled the trigger on this deal....there is no question in my mind that this forum has saved me money. Here is the deal...

'06 Tl with Nav (includes mud guards and wheel locks)
    White with Parchment interior
    + IPOD link

    =30,800 + TTL

Mission Viejo was great to work with on this deal...guess I could have gotten out at 30.4 without the IPOD, but I figure it will be good to have. I believe this is the price to beat in SoCal (maybe the US) now. I do believe that the price will be going down a little more this month...but color choices may also begin to disappear.

I think the thing I enjoyed most about working with the dealership was despite cutting a deal close to their estimated net cost (including holdback) they took all the time to explain the car as if I was paying MSRP. Could not ask for more.

If you live in San Diego, just don't bother calling the local dealers...they are simply not interested in cutting into their holdback. They will be at least $1k higher. Mission Viejo is close enough anyway.

    Good Luck.

    Internet Sale Price: $29,554
    Dealer Doc. Fee: $395

    Title & WRA: $21
    TOTAL DRIVE-OUT PRICE: $31,767.00

Not too bad, I bought my 06 TL auto w/ NAV on 9-18-06 for 33,000 tax and tags included In VA. I learned something that day, and that is that you have to haggle. (period)

The dealer gave me an offer of 33,650, I then asked for 1500 less. Which he then knocked half off (750) and gave me corny "YOU WIN", not satisfied I then asked for 500 less and said I take that TL off your hands today. And sure enough he agreed. Maybe I could have got more off, At least I knoked 1,250 off of their asking price

The lesson here is haggle, assessories, price, whatever. All within reason, but push it a little see what happens.

    Good Luck,

I am new to the forum and am looking for some help in finding out the lowest price for an AT TL w/NAV in Texas. I do not mind travelling to Dallas or Houston to pick up this car. I just want to hear what people have paid for this car in Texas and what I should expect.

I just bought an '06 TL with NAVI near Atlanta. I received a price from an internet sales manager of $31,827 + TTT. I think this is a pretty good price since the invoice is $32,800. They also included the trunk tray and wheel locks.

Thanks for everyone's postings and help and a special kudo to users Caltman and Kletsch! Before I posted on this forum I was stuck at 32.5K and after a couple of emails from these two folks I turned the corner and finalized my purchase on a 2006 TL with NAV with a few additional free options at 31.8K with my choice of cars on the lot. I got all the expected "we don't usually sell cars that cheap, etc" lines, plus the sneaky attempted doc fees, hard sell on the ext. warranty, etc.

My advice if you stuck then shop around. Get some email quotes from other cities. I simply forwarded the email from Madison to my guy as well as a copy of my offer to buy at another, nearby dealership and he caved pretty quickly.

It didn't hurt that the 07s are due in any day.

Final Price: 31,800 for a TL with NAV.

    Hello all,

Any thoughts on my chances of getting an '07 TL with Nav for at or near invoice as they soon hit the dealer lots? I prefer the updated NAV system and like the look of the slightly modified front end. Thoughts/suggestions?

    Many thanks!
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
What makes you think that dealers want to do that? You should revisit this issue after May 2007, and hopefully by then the price may come closer to invoice. Unless, for unknown reasons the TL stops selling well or competitors are lowering their prices, don't expect Acura to give you sweet deals on the TL so quickly.
  • 07buyer07buyer Member Posts: 9
Because Acura wants to sell cars.

Take a look at Message pages 243-245 (around message # 4800 and up) or so (from fall last year). Many were able to buy next model year TL's at $500-$1,000 over invoice. I am not interested in the Type-S (currently have an '03 TL-S) - just wondering if anyone has ordered an '07 yet and prices paid or other thoughts.

I just wish they'd come out with 3.9% on '06 and '07 TLs like they did the end of October last year on the '05 and '06 models.

    Additional thoughts/strategies?

Hi folks, great forum & informative discussions for buyers -glad I found it. I'm shopping and have two dealerhips quoting me $31,300 and $31,400 + TTL. I haven't made my counter offer yet but will let you know. What do you think of a price of $30,400 or 30,800 with IPOD link before TTL? Thanks!
  • keith134keith134 Member Posts: 18
Are those quotes of 31.3 and 31.4 without or with NAV? A lot depends on which city you are located in so you also may want to include that info as well.
  • speedwgn1speedwgn1 Member Posts: 10
I thought my title indicated that it was a 06TL with Navi. Yes, it's an Automatic with a Navi. I have a new lower quote = $31,100 + TTL. I'm getting anxious but I still think that $30,800 is my goal and doable. Thanks for the feedback.

I started my bidding in mid Sept. with a $1,000 offer below invoice. First week of Oct. i got a $1,800 below offer. Now i'm trying to get them to go $2,200 below, which a dealer in the Chicagoland area is already considering. Has anybody gotten a similar offer? 06'TL white/ebony w/Nav.

I'm also thinking of adding a Ron Jon kit later on. Has anybody added this kit? price?
  • relayrelay Member Posts: 2
We have been working the Chicago dealers, but have not pulled the trigger yet. Which dealer is offering the 1800 below invoice offer? Does that include destination charge? We were looking for 06 w/nav as well, but best price was 31570 incl dest from McGrath.

A friend of mine got a '06 TL with navi, paid 34K OTD (Includes IPOD link and trunk liner). My friend lives in Atlanta but a dealer based in Columbus,GA was very helpful and was great to work with.

Is anyone aware that the incentives on the leftover 2006's are now at $1500? I did not see that posted anywhere, but thought I'd mention it since there appear to be quite a few cars left on dealer lots. So, that makes a lot of sense for those who are getting quotes for low 31's for TL NAV. This has been confirmed to me by several dealers.

Haven't been to a dealership yet in the Washington DC area, nor started communicating with internet managers, just looked at Edmund's TMV price- will there be much negotiating room for a 2007 TL?
  • theuser005theuser005 Member Posts: 15
I bought 06 TL w/ navigation for $30,100 + freight + tax + tags from Tischer Acura in MD two weeks ago for my wife. They started with $34k+ and I told them straight that I know someone who paid $30,200 for the same car and they agreed to match it after going back and forth for a while.

I am now in market for 07 TL w/ navigation. Best quote I got so for is $36,095 (what a joke !!!). My target price is $34k + tax + tags...
  • speedwgn1speedwgn1 Member Posts: 10
Yes, the $1500 cash is being offered. In fact, a dealership here in NJ offered it to me a few days ago. His quote was the $31,300 + TTL. Funny, the dealership who only offered me $1,000 cash back quoted me $31,400. I'm trying to get him to up the cash back ante to $1,500, thus making his quite $30,900.

What's the invoice for base 07 TL w/ navigation?
  • scottm123scottm123 Member Posts: 1,501
The Base TL w/ Navi is $36,125
    Dest is $670

    Visit the Acura website.
The 07 TL is there now, and you can build a model online to get the MSRP price

On a side note, it's funny how some were talking about the cost of the Type-S not being worth the $5,000 price difference.
It's only $2,000 more, since the Navi comes standard.

The new TLs are on the lot now. :)
  • dampfnudeldampfnudel Member Posts: 131
theuser005 wants the invoice price for the '07 TL Base w/Navi.

Our target price will probably be around $34.5 including the dest. fee, which wouldn't be bad for the dealer. Maybe not as good as bending the customer over and charging sticker, but still good.

I got an internet quote from Karen Radley for a 2007 TL w/ Nav. Quote was; $34,295 + Tax,Tags, + 295 processing. Not bad, considering it was just released last week. Seems like the price is off of MSRP is already dropping. I was going to get the 06 TL for about 32K OTD, but with all the improvements in the 07's. I'm willing to pay a little more for the improvements. Hopefully I can get it for under $34K OTD. My target to buy is Dec/Jan.... so by then, the prices should come down? Crossing my fingers!
  • dampfnudeldampfnudel Member Posts: 131
Does the $34,295 include the dest. fee ? It sounds good...so far.

has anyone gotten prices for non nav 2007?

im aiming for 31.5k + TTL for non nav (I want to get 34k or under out the door), but Im planning to wait until december/January so prices are cooled down a bit. I live in Socal so a good market for buyers it seems.

Also, anyone know what Acura's usual rates (for good credit scores) are around when they arent doing their special 2.9/4.9 APR?

on a side note anyone test drive a 2007 yet? i wonder how good that traffic thing is on the Nav system :) makes me wanna splurge for a Nav but im worried it will have some first year bugs on it
  • vluuvluu Member Posts: 100
    I believe so.... the quote stated: $34,295 + tax + tags + 250 processing.

Unless you need the car right away... I would wait, the 2007 will come down when other competition cars are released.
  • richey02hgrichey02hg Member Posts: 69
haha, I got that same quote from one acura dealer...no reason to even respond to that garbage
  • theuser005theuser005 Member Posts: 15
    07 w/ navi - $34k + TTL seems like a decent deal. It's around $2600 off MSRP. So, it's $500 over invoice.

What is invoice pricing on the 2007's (with and without Nav, Manual vs. Auto, Type S vs norm)?

    Good Question...
All of the auto websites currently list the 07 Acura TL invoice prices as N/A or TBA (To Be Announced)

    Base 07 TL w/ navigation, invoice is: $32,950 + 670 freight.

I just picked up my '06 TL White Diamond/Ebony/Nav. :) After dealing with several dealers in the Chicago suburbs for a few weeks, I got a great deal for $30,975 (includes Dest.) that's about 1,900 below invoice!! my out the door price was $33,365 and they threw in all-weather mats, wheel locks, and splashguards for no additional fee.

Went to McGrath, Nappleton, and Muller. they were all willing to give me the same price, but decided to go with Muller, since they decided to knock off an extra 100 bucks, and being the closest dealer to home.
My best advice to all of you out there: do your homework, and deal with several dealers through e-mail. it's easy, convenient, and it gives you time to think about your decision, as well as enjoying how the dealers battle it out ;) but hurry their stock is starting to run low. good luck.
