    To my knowledge the Toyota 4.7 L didn't have headgasket problems.

    What you have said is the one of the most accurate statements that I have seen on any of these topics. I am sure some of the clueless ones will try to discredit these facts, but they know they are true.

    I not be gettin most of what ya be talkin on cept that part bout them doctors. Them ones dont be needin the haul, lessin they be animal doctors now. Is that what ya be sayin? If this be, then ya be provin that point I keep tryin to make with these folks, that is, them little ones aint got the haul in em for workin the farm and such. They be just some new toy that them yuppies be reachin for. Then them same yuppies be goin on and on bout how good they be, not havin the knowin of what the use be of them trucks to begin with! I think we be sayin the same thing now. Good luck on this one now!

    It takes an educated person to write so much and say so little. Maybe you should check out your local community college, I am sure they would have a writing class you could take.

    Do you honestly think Toyota is a status brand? IMO Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar are status brands.

    I appreciate that you note highly educated people buy big3 when they want a low cost, regular cab truck for hauling logs and planting trees. Other items recognized by highly educated people include best in class fuel economy, and safety features like standard 4-wheel abs disc brakes.

    and for the life of me I can't see where guys that drive any of the Big3 are better off. It's probably because I am pretty confident and arrogant at times. Personally, I KNOW I bought the best truck FOR ME. I feel like the winner while all the other truck owners are the losers. Heck, for decades there has always been Ford, Chevy/GMC and Dodge trucks, it's easy to follow everyone else, but it takes confidence in yourself to 'blaze the trail'.

    Why follow the pack when you can lead? The rules of the game have changed...conform or rust on the side of the road.

    Cant see where them big3 folks be better off? Try workin that little truck and watch it break quick now. Them little ones be gettin used up quick if ya work em hard. As for rustin, that be what I be sayin. Them little ones be rustin quicker than any for sure. Ya see, with them yuppies tradin em out for some new doo-dad evey year, they not be a noticin it now, but them that keep that truck for the long haul, they be knowin which ones last. Thats why ya never see them toys workin the farm, they be gettin used up to quick for sure. Get ya that toy to haul them grocerys, and impress them yuppies now, the big3 if ya plan on workin it.     You can lead, but if no one is following...that's not leadership.

    According to Kelly Blue Book, the only trucks Tundra leads on their Hot 50 list is Sonoma, Ranger, and Frontier.

    The PICKUPS Conference has gotten WAY too big....

    it is unwieldy to manage, and difficult to use for "newbies." There is entirely TOO much topic duplication, so I will be doing some SERIOUS topic consolidation in the next few weeks, getting us down to not more than 2-3 topics per vehicle type, and ultimately down to 200 topics or less.

    THIS weeks consolidation candidates are: Tundra's, Tacoma's and Rangers.

    In that vein,please consolidate this Tundra topic to Welcome Toyota Tundra - V and continue these discussions there.
