    Presumably it was done in-house. Jensen was a coachbuilder, IIRC they built bodies for Volvo P1800s.

    It isn't an XK cuz the tailights are wrong, not to mention the wheels which are borrowed from something I can't quite place. Is it some sort of a retro Jag built on a more modern car?

    play this game a little different.

    I read that Jerry Seinfeld flipped his 1967 Fiat BTM, but every google search I do turns up a report of his accident. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

    I bet andy or someone else has a better source than me,so what does a 1967 Fiat BTM look like ?

    Guss I'm fairly familiar with the Fiat lineup and have never, ever heard of a BTM, nor has anyone else from what I'm seeing on the web.

    There's no Fiat BTM on this list of 173 different Fiat models.

    I was expecting it to be some kind of exotic Fiat that they only made a dozen of.

    I wonder if he really has 47 Porsches like the other part of the story I heard stated ,and that the Fiat was his daily driver.

    Yes, close enough. This is a kit car called the Aristocat, built by a British firm called Autotune, and they've been on sale since the mid 80's. It's based on Jag XJ6 mechanicals, so it is sort-of authentic. They've sold several hundred, so they are quite popular.

    The 2nd I knew was one ... the first I was guessing, but thought maybe it was like a Miata with a TVR bodykit of some sort ... sort of like those Fiero-aris

    The instrument surround leads me to believe it's an old Aston Martin, yet I see hints of a humble MGB :confuse: :confuse: :confuse: in the vent window, dash & windscreen.

    Is this some sort of Aston kit on an MG? :confuse:

    No it's got nothing to do with MG except possibly some parts from the BMC parts bin
    that they had in common.

    Yes, you did say they were kits... Sorry about the delay but it's the time difference - the first one is a Pilgrim Bulldog, one of the most common kit cars in UK, they've sold more than 2000 since it was introduced in 1985, although this one isn't the earliest model, as the front end was modified for the Mk II onwards. The oily bits were Morris Marina at first, but later the Ford Cortina III, Cortina IV, etc...

    The other car is a MInari - sold from 1990, these had Alfa Romeo engines and running gear, initially from the Alfasud, later also the Alfa 33. I think they stopped making the Minari in about 2002.

    well, i gotta admit, that's a pretty modern design for 1990, considering the 1998 miata similarities and ... hmmmm... ya know, I can't find a pic of the TVR I was thinking of. So maybe I was wrong on that one. I thought there was a TVR that had bumps on the hood just like that kit.

    Here's a link that explains how to post a pic here.

    You can't just paste a pic into a post - the pic has to live somewhere on the net, like your CarSpace album. Then you link to the pic that way. Once your photo has a URL, you can use the Img button to post it.

    And the forum hasn't been down; people are probably just off enjoying the weekend.

    I use photobucket.com for free storage of images I've uploaded. Then I link to the picture. On each picture are links to paste into your post here. I use the direct link. Then click on the whole link and push the URL button under the posting box. This puts the proper html markings around the link to indicate it's an image or picture.

    Actually, you don't have to go to photobucket for that, we can all do the same thing on our own CarSpace pages. For any who don't know, there is a My CarSpace link on the upper left of each Forums page. Go there, go to your albums and follow the directions. Couldn't be easier!

    And the really nice thing about using your CarSpace page for your pics is when you use the automatically generated link to display one of them in the Forums, it will be resized correctly to display here without wrecking the page. :shades:

    I was thinking it was a 1963. It's been a long time since the summer carshows. The goldfish have gone around the bowl several times and my memory is not certain. I believe I found a reference at the time about the color wheels as being original. The owner said they were.

    I like these with the oddball cars mixed with the Detroit Iron.

    In the back is a 62 Ford Sunliner (I don't think that name died until 63). The two big tanks in the middle are a 57 Ford (Fairlane I guess) and what looks like a Christine - 58 Plymouth. The car at far left is a Peugeot 404, and at far right looks like a Hillman Minx.

    That is indeed a 1963 Studebaker Lark; a Lark Daytona 2-door hardtop, to be specific. The wheels, however, are not original; they are later Mopar steel wheels. The modification is a popular one with many of today's Studebaker owners, as they fit the original bolt circle pattern and allow for the fitment of wider modern radial tires.

    How do I know this? See my user name, of course. ;) I owned a 1963 Lark Custom 4-door sedan from 1998 until last summer (June 2007). Mine rode on its original wheels and less-than-common 195/75R15 radials.

    Good job, but I believe the Plymouth is a 1957 (in 1958 there were dual headlights, not just imitation duals with the parking lights holding space for the upcoming duals).

    Thanks for the info. I remember some of those cars. We had a 1950 Studebaker 2 dr in a medium green color. My grad school roommate bought a Studebaker and I can't recall but I believe it was a '49. He had gone to Kenyon College to pick it up and I took him back to Dayton where he had left it for the night with a friend to get it back home.

    The '63 Lark has the backup lights integrated into the rear trim really nicely.
