Hi 540dude. Here's the information that you are looking for. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a base 2009 Acura TL with 12,000 miles per year are .00250 and 59%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Super Preferred" credit tier.
When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $500 dealer cash that is currently available on it.

Here's the information that you're looking for, amy9. Honda Finance's February buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Acura TL AWD with the Tech Package and 15,000 miles per year are .00250 and 56%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Super Preferred" credit tier.
If you want, you can shave a little off of this car's monthly payment by stretching out your lease to 39 months. The money factor for that term is the same, but its residual value is 1% lower.
Yes, the $1,000 dealer cash is still available on the TL Tech. If I was in the market for an '09 TL right now, I personally would shoot for a selling price that's very close to dealer invoice minus the available dealer cash.

You're very welcome, bentdoc. Thanks for the kind words. You never mentioned the selling price of the car that you are interested in. To me, this is the most important number to know when leasing. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. The closer to dealer invoice minus any available cash incentives (in this case $1,000) you are, the better the deal you are getting. Let us know what this car's selling price is and I'm sure that either myself or another knowledgeable community member will gladly give you their opinion.

Hi I'm having a problem getting a good lease deal on a 09 Tl Sh-AWD with tech pk.
The biggest problem that I have is that I can't find a dealer here in NJ that has this model in a Palladium color with taupe interior. Does any one know of a dealer in the tri state area that has this car on there lot? I got a lease number on this car @ $569.00 12k 39 months with $2500 total out of pocket. The dealer wont tell me the cost of the car, so I dont know if this is the best possible deal. The dealer also doesn't have the car in stock.
I'm thinking of maybe waiting until after March 2, 2009 for the new lease programs. Do you think that there will be better deals to be had? :confuse:
I'm also interested in the TL ShAWD with Tech. Can you give the breakdown of the out of pocket expenses? Where is the tax? in the payment of $569 or in the $2500? My current Lexus RX350 lease is up June 1--so I'm waiting on a good deal on a AWD sedan. From what I've seen so far Benz E350 has great leases-but I need the bulletproof reliability of Acura. Can other lessees of TL AWD pls post their deals. I would lease immediately for the right deal.
You may want to do what I did - go with a lease broker.
The one I used was in NJ, he has access to various tristate dealers, he found what I wanted (TL Tech, Polished metal/ ebony interior), matched my best price and had it in my driveway in 24 hours.
Payment is too high for that trim level- you can get the AWD tech for that payment. They are inflating some number in the lease calculation- What is the residual and money factor they quoted you?
just started looking: First quote from a local dealership (that after having leased 3 previous TLs, never did a deal with..always did better elsewhere - 1st test drive)
base model '09 TL (no tech pckg) purchase price: 32,395 39 mo lease/ 15k mi/yr money factor .00250 59% residual value zero $$$ down $489.73/mo tax in (car off the lot) $498/mo tax in if need to seek specific color combo - 1st discussion - sound fair? oh - lease pgm effective thru Mar 2, 2009 - thnx for input......
I have a strange feeling that the March rebates and incentives are going to be better then the Feb ones. I am waiting until this week to see what is offered. Been reading that the Feb lease is not all that and it should change for March. Don't know for sure, just a feeling.
lax29 - thanks for the heads up - so I shouldn't feel pressure sign a lease by Mar 2? Unfortunately, I'm under the gun b/c my tires are BAD (as per mechanic: on the verge of blowing out) so need to secure a new vehicle soon!!! Have even looked at the Hyundai Azera Limited (purchase vs leasing w/Acura.) Thanx again
FYI - just saw that a person got a quote on a TL TECH at $34,000, 1500 below invoice. Wasn't sure what price you negotiated on the base, but may be able to get around 1500 under the invoice.
32,395 was price qoute for the base model (no tech) - going to another dealership tomorrow; I can wait until after Mar 2, if the new lease pgms seem better....
I was wondering if you know if dealerships will lease a 2008 TL with approximately 4-5,000 miles on it? I am pretty sure the car was the dealership loaner, TL with NAV, so it was never actually owned by anyone. Also, if they are willing to lease a car like this what price range do you think it should fall in and do you happen to know what the current lease terms would be on a vehicle like this? I know they change today so just curious if you know what the new terms would be.
It appears that the only change I viewed from the Acura site was the new date on the same old program. Carman, please do us all a favor and post the Residual and MF for the other Acura TL models as well. In particular the TL wTech.... Backin Dec08 the MF was at .00165 with a 62% Residual on the TL wTech. Why didn't it go down, as we all expected... Please advise.. Thanks!!!
Hi seekacurainfo. As long as the car that you are interested in was just a demo and it has never been titled, it is still technically a "new" car and you would be able to lease it through Honda Finance using its new vehicle lease program.
Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2008 Acura TL with 15,000 miles per year are .00310 and 44%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Super Preferred" credit tier and pay a security deposit at lease signing.
The problem that I have with demo vehicles is that dealers never seem to be willing to discount them enough for my taste. I personally would not purchase what essentially is a low mileage used vehicle unless I could get it at a significant discount to the price that I would have to pay for a similar brand new one.

I have a lease through American Honda for a 2007 Acura. I am in the midst of a financial hardship - and trying to not lose my home and my car payemtns are high. I am behind two months. I called Acura/Honda to try and see if they would modify the loan and they have basically stonewalled me and said there is NO WAY they can modify the loan.
I knwo this is total BS. the banks are doing it left and right on mortgages. I'm not saying that Acura/Honda HAS to mod my lease - but I don't see why they "can't". I am trying to go up the chain of "supervisors" tofind someone who actually has any real authority to do anything remotely like change the MF, lease term, payments amount, payoff, etc.
My payoff is about 34k. the car is NOT worth that much, it's probably worth 25-30k on teh used market if i sold it myself...they wanted me to finance it and buy it, but then I'd be buying sometjhing at way more than market value.
given the economy - and that car sales are in teh toilet, as are car values - i can't imiagine they want to repo it - as they would lose a ton more than simply working with me to lower the payment. even a $100/month drop in mhy payment would make the diff between keeping it and dumping it. if they did that, they eat a total of 1800 as I only have about 18 payments left. if they repo it - they will eat thousands upon thousands.
the guy says i'm on the hook for the loss and I explaiend to him that I would just get foreclosed on my house, file bankruptcy and they will end up with nothing. i was super polite, not being a prick, just explaining that i am in the middle of a financial mess and i got nothing but what sounded like "scripts" off the customer service guy's "standard reponse" list or whatever you call it. they were polite back, but essentially said we can't change your terms.
basically i was told to make the payment or they will repo the car. no discussion of payment deferrals, mod of terms, etc etc.
I know tey don't WANT to mod a lease as then everyone would be hitting them up for new terms and they would lose even more - so mayber they take the attitude of we won't mod any of them, out of the fear that it will start a wave of lease mods and they will get hosed with tons of them??
i figure someone here knows the "real" deal on whether Acura/Honda deals with people in the midst of financial hardships.
Having watched these knuckleheads from AHFC flounder around since December with their unrealistic MF rates for lease I have come to the conclusion that you are toast. If they can't figure out that the economy has tanked and giving 2.9% for buy rates but keeping 5.9% for lease they are in trouble. Acura sales are down 39% vs last YTD and people would much rather lease than buy right now based on dollar per month outlay. People just don't want to spend as much per month right now with the uncertainty of their financial positions in life. I know at least 6 people that have expiring TL leases that would reup with "The Beak" if the MF was .0012 - .0016. Hello BMW!! Until AHFC gets real with their financing they will continue to free fall. JMHO
I absolutely agree. My TL lease has come to an end, and even though I have $1500 loyalty, Im not going back. The car is ugly. The ride is boring, and the car price is inflated. I would consider buying if there was $4000 dealer cash and .00005 MF.
You're right, luk4my09tltek, Acura's March lease program for the 2009 TL is very similar to its February program. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Acura TL Tech (2WD) with 15,000 miles per year are .00237 and 56%, respectively.
As was the case last month, Acura is still providing $1,000 dealer cash on the base '09 TL and $2,000 on the '09 TL Tech.

Hi leasemod. I am very sorry to hear about your financial problems. There's no doubt that we are in some seriously bad times right now. I don't think that anyone alive has seen things this bad, particularly in the auto industry.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt that Honda Finance will be willing to modify your lease agreement. In all of my years working in the industry, and trust me there's a lot of them :surprise: , I have never heard about a bank modifying a lease for a customer. You can always call Honda Finance back and work your way up to a manager who actually has some authority to do something rather than just the person who answers the phones, but I'm not optimistic that they will be willing to work with you. Still, you don't have anything to lose by trying so give a manager a shot.
You will probably have better luck getting the bank that holds your mortgage to work with you. The government has been putting a lot of pressure on banks to stop the massive number of foreclosures that are flooding the market with homes.
Sorry that I don's have better news for you.

I really hated this car, but honestly, Acura and Honda were the only dealers that were willing to work with me on price. My previous lease was a TL w/navi and I pretty much got the same deal with the 09 w / tech. With some minor modifications, the car looks really nice, and I couldnt ask for more when it comes to the technology package.
Did you have Acura loyalty? That's a great deal for the tech package. If you have loyalty, you can probably do a little bit better. Anyways, you cant get that many options on any car with a price anywhere close to what you were quoted.
I was given a some additional information that conflicts with the posts I read.
Tier I - Elite Super Preferred Credit on TL Tech, MF at .00237 at 36 mos w/10k Miles and 59% Residual Tier II - Preferred Credit on TL Tech, MF at .00293 at 36 mos w/10 Miles and 59% Residual
Based on the posts, the residual for the 12k Mileage Allowance appears to be the same. Can you confirm the Tier II MF rates with the proper mileage. Thx again...
Carman or Kydx....please help me...I'm looking at leasing the Acura TL (not sure if I want tech package or not). Here are my quotes from a South Florida dealer. I'm really trying to focus on Tech, but wanted to show you both quotes. Thanks! Kim

......thank you once again for your vehicle request. Oakland Acura is committed to making this the best automobile purchase you have ever had. Here is the information you requested.
I dont have the break down cost. The taxes are included for NJ. taxes are in the $569 monthly payment. That monthly payment is still to high for me. Im currently leasing a 2006 Landrover LR3 HSE Msrp $56,000 @ $598 per month 12K 24months. I will wait until Acura's Tl payments go down. before I try to lease one.
zepned, you can get that TL Tech from Ed Martin Acura in Indianapolis for a monthly payment of $442.92 if you get them to reduce the invoice price by $2000 using the Acura dealer cash incentive on the TL Tech, and then put $2,000 cash towards the capital cost reduction. If you have been an Acura lessee you can get an additional $1,500 reduction using the letter that Acura mailed you recently. I know they can do this because I closed the deal on a 09 TL Tech yesterday with these terms and it's sitting in my garage this morning! Ask for the internet sales manager if you call them.
I will try using these numbers that you gave me with the NJ dealers today. Unfortunately I am not an Acura customer. Is there any way that I can get a car in Indy to NJ?
Here is the latest offer that I have in NJ which seems to be the best:
TL Tech 12k miles/yr. $2000 down 36 month lease Purchase price - $33,833.71 Final price w/tax & fees - $36,671.07 Lease price - $459.28 (everything included) w/$2k down Lease price - $428.03 (everything included) w/$3k down Lease price - $396.76 (everything included) w/$4k down
I was going to bargain him down to $450 but with the new info, I will try to get him down to $445.
Is the letter you are referring to only to Acura lessee's? I leased two Honda's and looking to lease an Acura TL this time around. It's all American Honda Finance??

2000 drive off for either car
