moral: if for no other reason than not killing make-believe little people...buy a tundra.

Some say this one was the bestest one ever. What say too this? Good luck on this one now!
Now:
Where is all them forien ones? Aint there even one left now? Good luck on this one now!
Actually abc, toyota relies on America as much as the big 3 do for profits. you see, the US accounts for over 30% of Toy's sales. japan accounts for 40% (not surprisingly) europe is about 18% and the remaining 12% is the entire REST OF THE WORLD. So really, when it comes to auto sales, the world almost is limited to the US. All auto makers live and die by North American demand for vehicles.
Yes, Toyota is a profitable company with good sales. but remember this: toyota posted revenues of about $118 bill. last year. Ford's rev's were $171 bill. GM's were $190 bill. toyota is more profitable than GM, (who isn't) but about the same as Ford.
Wait a minute.....them barrels be empty for sure! Good luck on that one.
Chevy's last decent made trucks faded out around 1972 when there CEO slashed quality for more profit. Since then it's been nothing but gimmicks and sales hype to get them wannabee rednecks, yuppies and gen X'rs to buy. That frame needs a thick coat of wax from the factory to delay the rust long enough for the dealer to unload it. Usually on some businessman trying to to toughen up his image. The silverado does this exceptionally well by hiding his bloated gut below the level of the window (right quad?).
They finally beefed up the frame on the 2001's. All the 1999/2000 owners be getting that bad pain in the rear-end again, scramblin' to get rid of/trade em in on the 2001's. Stick to them old Chevs Rube, they be the last of the real trucks.
"full size" - why does it only weigh 2% more than
the Tundra? They must be making it out of recycled tin cans.
The Tundra is heavier duty. Those wimpy Silverados will be dropping like flies the
first time you try to work them.
If you want a real heavy duty full size truck -
get a Tundra.
Chevy lightened (and cheapened) their truck by going to a three piece frame design. Now - after two years of production - they decided to add braces to their limp noodle frame. Typical Chevy quality (or lack thereof).
Chevy marketed their Silverado to the people who want minivans. That is why they lowered it 4 inches, and put in a huge rear seat. They also require you to upgrade the springs and add a transmission cooler to put a hitch on.
That's funny - to tow with a Tundra, all you do is add a hitch. Definitely heavier duty.
since yesterday! 13 from Libby! I told you that
I got her trained. I am laughing my [non-permissible content removed] off!
First of all - to all of Libby's loyalists - I'm
sorry that you fall for her B.S so easily. Hook, line and sinker! You Chevy packers are just too gullible! Maybe that is why you own Chevies. In the meantime, I will continue to call a spade a spade (or a liar a liar in Libby's case).
I know that it must be hard for the Chevy pack to
accept that their "golden girl" is not perfect.
It is hilarious to me that the Chevy pack picked
Libby as their poster girl. She lacks cajones.
Superjim - I hit a small bump in the road
yesterday - I think it was an S10.
BCO - In order for Libby to search for intelligence - she would have to have some herself. And she damn sure won't find any in the Chevy pack. Who has the string? And as far as the twinkie goes - that isn't a twinkie that Libby has been feeding you. I tell you what - Libby is doing a great job for Toyota. Hook, line and sinker!
Swobig - I don't get your latest post. You
usually are leading a Libby cheer. All you need
is pom poms.
I'm telling you guys - Libby is working for the
enemy.
HAHAHHAHAHA ok yea uh huh bama is your occupation a politician cause you sure dont tell the truth.
Any vehicle that actually tows anything heavy should have a trans cooler duh under towing conditions the trans heats up. tow a heavy trailer with your tundra not just those bikes and watch your trans burn up. Mine will keep going and going and going.
Ryan
guys, in reading bama's laughable "If you want a real heavy duty full size truck - get a Tundra" post, i figured it all out. there's a reason why toyota doesn't produce 3/4 ton, 1 ton, or dually applications...they actually think that tundra is a "heavy duty" truck. obviously they've got their owners brainwashed. i mean, why offer 3/4 or 1 tons (or ext cab longbeds or regular cab shortbeds for that matter) when you can dominate (LOL!!!) the market with two configurations? especially when you have the mid-size class-leading 4.7 L V8 power?
yawn...heavy duty my [non-permissible content removed].

now then, since i understand what you are trying to communicate, how does this strike you:
bottom line..."heavy-duty tundra" is an oxymoron. next thing you know tacoma owners are going to be wanting to call their trucks heavy duty or something...

Here is another oxymoron.."The Fullsize tundra"
bamatundra: you are wrong about justtheone lacking intelligence. Maintaining that facade requires an extraordinary intelligence indeed. It's simply brain power wasted on nonsense.
rwellbaum2: The guy "loading that old truck up with 50 gallon barrels" is doubtless using a two wheel dolly which is hidden behind the barrel. Examine it closely and you'll realize that even an empty barrel would be impossible to move forward onto the truck with one hand in the manner shown in the photo without a dolly.
Amazing how much can be written about so little, isn't it?!?

This aint no drivetrain outa a little one now:
Good luck on this one now!
Dodge knew that the Tundra could not compete with the Ram that is why they came out with a new body style Dakota. This is so the Tundra would have one truck to compete againest.
ratboy - think maybe toyota has a reason for not offering diesels in the u.s.? i would have to suspect that they don't think they'd be very successful.
timothy, maybe you're right. maybe i should have said...
"that would mean others would have to admit to being wrong. and certain others on here would never admit to being wrong tim."
whaddaya think?

I like shine from top to bottom. Don't like all that rust starting up on a new vehicle. Guess even that heavy wax coating can't stop them chev frames from rustin' up quick. Maybe GM pennypinchers will break down and pay for the frames to be galvinized. Seems all they're interested in is putting money into fancy gimmicks that appeal to the fad chasers but break quick after the sale. That autotrac is a fine example of their quick-sell gimmicks. The autotrac systems breaking after only 40-50K. That businessman don't need it, just likes how it sounds in the fancy brochure. That soccermom likes them cupholders and big back seat, but complains when she can't park it cause the steering radius is too wide. Yep GM engineering at it's finest. They concentrate on the gimmicks leaving the rest to rust and rattle.
on this one. Are you crazy thinking the tundra is
HD get a real truck one made by one of the big3.
