Hey guys I need your opinion,

A 2014 Is350 f sport came in has 6385 miles on it and they are selling it as a demo, the Sticker price was $49856 I believe (But Im sure it said $49,000) and they are discounting the car heavily. Don't remember the exact amount but will try to get it. This is what im getting.

33 months, 12 k a year (rolling in $6,500.00 of negative equity *NEVER LEASE A VW*)
MF - 0.00085 - 62%
3,000$ down ( I was going to do Multiples but its way to much)
$570.00

was wondering over the top does it sound good ? I know its alittle difficult because i dont have the exact numbers but I feel like i could go alittle lower. Your opinion will greatly appreciate. Thanks guys

Are you ending your VW lease early? If you wait until the lease terminates, you can walk away with $0 negative equity. That alone is adding almost $200/mo to your payment.

I need another 2 years with the VW, after i reach 30,000 miles on the car i liable for anything turn ups oil changes and new tires. *Im currently at 23,000 miles ( I did a 48 month Lease with VW, thanks to them I learned alittle more about leasing) so the way im seeing it rather me putting it in that car (the passat) that i hate, I'd rather put it in on a car that I really like and maintenance and everything else is covered.

Numbers seem pretty close to that.. though would need to know tax rate/state and amount of the other fees to be sure.. I'd definitely take the shorter term for the lower price.

So the deal I'm working right now seems pretty good. My brother got a 2015 IS 350 F sport RWD for 43,550 negotiated sales. I showed this contract to my current sales person and I am asking for the 1,000 rebate for new grad. Looks like they should be able to do this. Here is the details
2015 Lexus IS350 F-Sport RWD
MSRP 49,000
43,550 Sale
1,000 new grad rebate
MF- 0.00075
RV%- 64
36m/12k
"Should" give complimentary 1st payment
Calculator says 394/month including 8.1 sales tax. This doesn't include processing fees and what not.

I'm showing $395.93/mo with your numbers, so close enough. Looks like a solid deal - under $400/mo for a $49K car is good.

What is the breakdown?

The acquisition fee cannot be waived.

Dealer fee is extra profit; try to negotiate a lower selling price to offset it.

State and local registration fees cannot be avoided.

Sales price wasn't specified. However, based on the $36,494 residual = 75% of MSRP, I'm estimating sales price to be $48,660. Is that correct?

No - the residual is based of the MSRP, which would be $48,660 in your case. The selling price should be the negotiated price, and hopefully lower than MSRP.

We don't yet have the March MF from Lexus, but the residual value for 36/12 on the IS convertibles is 61% for the 250 and 59% for the 350.

As an update.. Purchased my IS350 F Sport yesterday! Here are the details:

MSRP: 48695 (RWD, F Sport, ML Audio/Navi, Preferred Accessory Package, BSM)
Invoice Price: 45150 (ish)
Sales Price: 43865
CAP: 44750 (Include licence/acq)

Residual: 64%
Residual value: 31,141
DP: 1200
Lease Cash: 500
Terms: 36/10
MF: .0007 (724 AEF)

Payment: $432 (including tax)

Note: The dealership originally tried to say the MF was accurate with the $500+ payment they were offering. I calculated it by hand in front of the salesman, and they eventually said that I was right and ended up back pedaling the rest of the visit. Then I got the correct MF, and they lowered the price significantly. Check. Mate.

Takeaway: Understanding leases more than your salesman behooves the entire process.
