IS350 F Sport - Lease Pricing

I've a monthly lease quote of $160.00/mo for a 2015 IS350 F Sport w/ nav, blind spot monitor and rear spoiler options, based on 27 month lease @ 0.00105 money factor. I'm getting $9,500 for my trade-in and paying $272.50 for registration & inspection and $700 bank fee. What I don't know is the residual % --- is the "December to Remember" event a 72% residual or 62% residual on the IS350?

Given the listed inputs, is a $160/mo payment a good deal?

On the surface, $160/mo looks great, but you have to consider that your $9500 trade in equity really represents $352/mo (9500 / 27 = 352), so your "true" payment is more like $512/mo

We don't recommend using trade equity or money down to buy down the payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you are out that money.

What is the MSRP and selling price?

I got the following quote from a dealer in VA for a special order since i cant find any Fsport 350s with Mark Levinson Audio. Looking for any feedback on this deal.

Hmmm ... I'm showing the 27/12 residual as 70%, not 71%. Also, the base MF is .00105 - are you using MSD's to buy it down?

Using your numbers, I'm showing a pre-tax payment of $449/mo for 27 months.

Any up front money due at signing?

As far as I know no upfront money due at signing and this was without any MSDs. That exactly what the dealer sent me for a quote. Those numbers I am getting 549.37/month using Ileasemycar pro app. rolling in 1828.78 in taxes.

If the above it correct is that a decent deal? Although since its a special order its subject to change since I guess I cant lock in rates.

$1800 in taxes is $67/mo; when added to the $449/mo I calculated before, that comes to a total of $516. Not sure why there is an extra $33/mo in your dealer quote.

What is the net cap cost?

Also, they have the one pay option that seems to cut almost $80 per month on 27 mo...any idea how they calculate that?

For a one-pay lease, the money factor is reduced by .0010

$0 down (only 1st month plus DMV due)
If I were to get the car from the dealer at invoice, according to leaseguide's lease calculator, my monthly payment should look to be $494.65

This is a big difference from the initial quote I got from a dealer of approx $560 after $1000 down (plus 1st month and DMV). Nothing firm because I had mentioned I'm still comparing cars. Any idea if the leaseguide calculator is producing a fair number to aim for?

No idea what assumptions are entered in the calculator..

With those numbers, I get $454/mo.+tax. But, you have to account for a $700 acquisition fee and tax. Also, you are assuming you can get the car for invoice. What price was the dealer using that gave you the quote?

No clue. He literally told me, word for word, "You don't calculate a lease based on the cost of the car." I left shortly after.

Zero everything for assumption. No trade in, nothing down, only first month + DMV up front (so acquisition fee and tax rolled in).

With the acquisition fee rolled in (since it wasn't a number the dealer mentioned), I'm at $516. Might pull the trigger if the price is reasonably above that for dealer profit.

Off topic, but can I ask how you get your MF/Res numbers? I'm going from the coupe segment to more of a 4 door sedan flavor of cars for the first time and there are tons of cars I'd love to test drive if I can figure out if they're within my price range.

I'd shop around until I found a dealer that would be straightforward with the numbers.

Exactly ... only takes one dealer to meet your terms. As you get closer to the end of the month, more dealers may be willing to play ball.

Is the 2016 comp 1st month payment an online-only thing? I'm very very close to a deal with my dealer, but noticed the 1st month promo and brought it up in an email afterwards. They told me it is only for the online deals that require the stated online pricing.

Also, can you take a look at these numbers and let me know if this is a good deal?

Yeah, you need to get the net cap cost to give us a full picture.

However, $508/mo with tax on a car that stickers close to $51K seems like a decent deal.

Not sure what you mean by "online only". Lexus makes the first lease payment for you; I'm not aware of any restrictions as to how you make your remaining payments - mail, on-line, carrier pigeon

Well I'm repeating what the dealer told me in an email. "As far as waiving the first payment, that option is only available with the online lease special which requires $2,499 due at signing plus standard fees."
The dealer wants to take 1st month + Reg + DMV from me at signing. We did verbally agree that that would be the case, but only after he told me that the promo does not exist when I asked him about it. Now that I emailed him about it stating that it's on the Lexus website, he's telling me that the promo is online-only.

They aren't really supporting leases of this model. You could probably do better on a 2016 model.
