Do you have august numbers for 2017 x4 M40i 10k/12k 36mo? Are there any incentives? I was at a dealer today and the salesman mentioned something about a $1500 incentive on 2017 models but I wasn't talking to him about the X4 at the time.

Hi...I am looking to lease 2017 X4 28i M Sport. Working with my dealer....I have a 2014 3 series sedan with 5 months left on my lease...this exercise is hypothetical at this point since my dealer cant do the three month pull forward since my milage is high...but I wanted to see if you think the proposed "deal" was reasonable....sooo...

    List Price $57,500
Dealer said he would "discount" price by $3,000 to $54,500

    Then..I would be entitled to
    1. $1,000 BMW Lease Loyalty
    2. $1,000 Fleet Corporate Discount (My employer participates)
    3. I should also get the $1,000 Option Credit...but he said that is what he is keeping for his profit since the $3,000 discount is maxed out.

The residual is 61% right now.
Money Factor..base is .00136 and then I get a .00020 reduction from Fleet Program for a Money Factor of .00116.

Now...when I use an online lease calculator, If I assume sales price of $52,500 (His $3,000 discount plus the $2,000 discount....not another $3,000 since he is keeping the $1,000 option credit)...I get a $626 a month for a 36/15k lease with 7% tax. (I would pay the upfronts out of pocket)

He and I seem to be in the ballpark on that calculation....his may be a bit higher...something about the fact that one cant just subtract the $2,000 in credits from the sale price since those credits are taxable...I dont fully understand that...but we were not too far off.

    so what do you think?

The residual and Money factor seem correct to me from what you have posted here.
$3,000 reduction on ordered 2017 seems fair??
Is it fair for him to keep the $1,000 option credit? He says that is how he would make his profit.

    Thanks!

I get $626/mo with those numbers, as well. I agree with the MF and residual.

For BMW, 7% discount before incentives is a good target.

Thanks so much for the quick reply....so re that 7% discount...would it then seem to you that his $3,000 discount...which is only about 5.4% is okay but not the best...and I might be okay with that...but then it seems like I should be able to "keep" my other $1,000 option credit and be able to work with a sales price of $51,500 and not $52,500??

Also...do you have any experience with these "discretionary" pull forwards?...some on other forums say I should try another dealer....there is one close to me that is a competitor to the one I currently lease from?

    thanks!

If you don't ask, you don't get, is my philosophy.

I always recommend getting multiple dealers involved. You'll generally end up with the best deal, that way.

Hi...I was pricing a similar car but with a $57,500 list...question...I have the same credits available...but my dealer was discounting $3,000 off the list...about 5.5 % and then telling me that was the max and then keeping the option credit as profit...so question...are you getting the 7% discount AND the $3,000 in credits..so that your lease calc is then off a sale price of about $46,000? Thanks!

    All fees added into lease:

    $45,800 + 925(acquisition fee) + 260 (tag) + doc fee + tax on incentives (140) = CAP COST $47,125

I get $677/mo with those numbers; in the ballpark with your quote.

However, I thought the deduct for demo miles was .25, not .30. That brings the payment down to $667/mo, so closer to the quote you got.

If you're comfortable with the discount from sticker, looks like a good deal.

Any chance you can use MSD to buy down the MF?

We don't track selling prices - in general, 7% off sticker is a decent discount for BMW.

    Hi,
My 528i lease is due next week. I'm interested in getting an X5 with Driver assistance plus and third row but have not yet been able to find a good deal on one. I want to extend my current lease until then.

Will I lose the $1k in loyalty credit from BMWFS if I don't lease by January 3rd?

In your experience, how much higher do prices on these SUV's get after the Holidays, say in March or April? Do the MF and RV change significantly?

Hopefully I'm not missing out on something big by not getting it before January 3rd. Thanks

Thanks

The current programs all end at close of business, tomorrow.

What happens after that? We don't know.
