    Hi,

    Thanks for all the help over here. I'm looking at a Maryland, 36 month 12/yr Lease for a Jeep GC Limited 4x4 -

    MSRP = $42450
    Price offered after discounts - $37150

    I'm getting MF of .000128 and haven't yet had a chance to look at the residuals. My calculations show a $387 monthly payment (pre-tax and pre-delivery/processing charges) based on the provided MF and a $2500 down-payment. Is this accurate and if so is this a reasonable price?

    With your prices, I get $433/mo before tax.

    Confirm the adjusted cap cost, amount due at signing and whether this is a Chrysler sourced lease.

    I simply used the numbers you provided. I assumed the $2500 went to up front costs and that your selling price is the cap cost.

    Thanks!. I guess I'll have to negotiate with the MF they are using. Two dealers in my area have offered me the exact factor - .00126. I actually did not factor in the $2500 into the sales price but I guess the cap cost would come down further if I decided to put that much down.

    The dealer can mark up the MF on Chrysler Capital funded leases by .00042.

    Ask the dealers what bank they are using. It's possible they are using a 3rd party bank - we don't have those numbers, but they often come with bigger rebates to bring the price down.

    Thank you Michaell for helping me figure this out. Your calculations were spot on. Went in to a different dealer last night and he offered the fair MF (0.00082) instead of the higher percentage that was being offered by others in my area. Since he had a different car the MSRP went up to $42700 and the negotiated price to $37278 for the Limited 4x4 with 23H and Nav. I paid only taxes, title/registration and processing charges (you take a big hit in MD with taxes, even on a lease) and the monthly payment for 12K/yr - 3 years comes in at $432.65.
