I am planning to buy 2017 Malibu Premier. Window sticker price $ 36705. Dealer Adjusted selling price $30950. I want to lease it as "sign and drive" 36/12. Doc Fee 499. Tag and Title $ 22. Plus 7% GA TAVT tax.
What will be the monthly payment, money factor and residual ? Is there any lease cash in GA? Thank you.
.00072 and 56%. $1200 lease cash
If I add 7% tax to the selling price, plus the other fees, I get $402/mo
However, I would confirm that the selling price is valid for a lease. GM has been running some aggressive pricing lately, but only if you buy.
I just confirmed with my dealer if $30950 included lease cash and he said yes. $ 30950 selling price is included lease cash.
Dealer offered me $386 per month with $1600 down. Thanks.

Given the tax burden in GA, that's not a bad payment for a $37K car.

Dealer said it is towards down payment.
$1600 / 36 = $44/mo. Which makes my calculation of $402/mo drop to $358/mo.
Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, after taxes, fees and down payment are all factored in. That should cut to the heart of the matter.

That adjusted CAP is about $2800 more than the sale price quoted before. That covers the tax and acquisition fee. $1600 seems like a lot upfront, given the $2800 already added. Might be a big dealer fee in there, as well.
The calculations are good with that adjusted CAP cost, though.

GM Financial charges a $595 acquisition fee. The dealer can charge a doc fee. In some states, there is a maximum amount allowed. Any amount is BS, but in some states (GA and FL, expecially) the amounts are ridiculous. ($499 is ridiculous). It's easier to ask for a bigger discount than to get into the crap they'll tell you about the doc fee.

We show $1200 lease cash for the Malibu. Not aware of any possible regional differences.
RV & MF on 2017 Malibu LS (MSRP 24,100) for 24/12 and 36/12 (assuming still +1 for 10K) please? Also lease cash would be great.
I've been working w/ LT the last two months but think I have to settle on LS. I feel I could probably get more off and save more on the LT w/ lease cash, MF, RV (if different), etc. Is that wrong for me to think that? Should I settle w/ LS or stand strong w/ LT?
Lastly, regardless LS or LT, how much % off do you think I would be able to get off MSRP? I've been trying for a while and some dealers are providing about 3% (without incentives/rebates included). One provided 1,500 off MSRP (26,895 on 2017 Malibu LT) but I still wasn't happy with that. Am I being too unrealistic wanting 10% as my target as others suggest to go for?

The MF and residual are the same for the LS and LT, but only the LT has the $1200 lease cash.
I think you should get the car that fits your budget and is the car you'll be happy to drive every day for the next 2 or three years. A good deal isn't that good when you don't like the car.
We don't track selling prices, so can't help you there. Use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools.
Rebates include (Comp Lease 1,500, Select Market 750, Select Model 1,000, NY Auto Show 500, Farm 500) with no lease cash. Based on what Michaell said and manager tells me, there is no lease cash on LS.
When I put in my spreadsheet I get the same monthly payment amount:
Malibu LS (24/10k) / RV: 65% (MF .00135) MSRP: 24,100 Agreed Upon Value of Vehicle: $21,984.45 Additional Cap Items / Fees: $869.81 Gross Capital Cost: $22,854.260 Cap Cost Reduction: $4,250.000 Adjusted Cap Cost: $18,604.260 Residual Value: $15,665.00 Depreciation Amount: $2,939.260 Rent Charge: $1,110.324 Monthly Tax Total: $359.401 Total Base Payment: $4,408.985 Lease Payments: 24 Base Scheduled Payment: $168.733
I just realized am I getting played with taxes? My tax rate is 8.875% in NY. Manager said my taxes is 772.31 but it calculates the monthly tax total as 359.40?
In addition do this, I feel I can save more on a Malibu LT w/ MSRP 26,000 because there is a 1,200 CCR lease cash available. If I guesstimate (based on prev quote sheet) I calculate almost $36 less per month for more of a vehicle?
Malibu LT (24/10k) RV: 65% MF: 0.00135 MSRP: 26,000 Agreed Upon Value of Vehicle: $23,400.00 Additional Cap Items / Fees: $975.00 Gross Capital Cost: $24,375.000 Cap Cost Reduction: $5,450.000 Adjusted Cap Cost: $18,925.000 Residual Value: $16,900.00 Depreciation Amount: $2,025.000 Rent Charge: $1,160.730 Monthly Tax Total: $282.734 Total Base Payment: $3,468.464 Lease Payments: 24 Base Scheduled Payment: $132.739

Sorry I know it's a lot of info but thoughts? What would you do? Thanks in advance!
I don't make decisions with other people's money.
NY taxes the sum of the payments - if you don't pay them up front, they get added into the selling price.
Get the car you'll enjoy driving the next 24 months. Will you regret skipping the features of the LT?
Thanks again for quick response. Sorry don't take it the wrong way but not really asking anyone to make my decision, just wanted some insight since I am okay w/ features on both cars. Going on this hunt for a while and after a while it feel I am starting to dot my t's and cross my i's (plus I don't really have any other person that understands leasing to go over this info). This would only be my second lease and last time as a rookie I overpaid. I want the lower monthly payments to work towards my advantage and I'll enjoy the car knowing I exhausted all of best efforts and if my guesstimate is correct, it would make most sense to go w/ LT, Just wanted to see if anyone would pick up any red flags or mistakes I made. What I don't understand now is how the MF is 0.00135 (0.00080 + 0.00055) when looking at previous posts it should be 0.00147 (0.00092 + 0.00055) for April. Also, do you happen to know what the last entry on quote worksheet (box 29) One Pay Amt listed as F.E.G. $1,204.32- refers to? Does this mean for a one-pay it would cost this much all upfront or is this amount factored in somewhere else (i.e. Total Base Payment 4,408.98 minus One Pay Amt 1204.32 for a total one payment of 3,204.66)? Thanks.

The only thing I don't understand is the large cap cost reduction amounts - is this money out of pocket from you?
In general, a one pay lease has a discount on the MF. But, not aware of the details for a program from GM.
On the LS quote - my actual money out of pocket is 468.73 (300 for DMV + first month 168.73). The cap cost reduction 4,250 is the total of Comp Lease 1,500, Select Market 750, Select Model 1,000, NY Auto Show 500, Farm 500.
I guesstimated for the LT I would be able to have 5,450 which would consist of Comp Lease 1,500 + Select Market 750 + Select Model 1,000 + NY Auto Show 500 + Farm 500 + 1200 GM's lease cash.

The rebates are taxable. That's why the tax is more than you calculated. Also, there is no monthly tax. If you are using a lease calculator, leave that out. NY taxes are all paid upfront (so, added to the CAP cost, if you aren't paying them out of pocket).
Ok today i made the deal. I took the car 2017 Malibu Premier fully loaded delivery on lease. I am not sure how dealer did calculation but $ 0 down, 39 Months, 15000 miles, my monthly payment is $409.

So I've been reading this leasing forum, and specifically for the Malibu, as my mom is interested in leasing one in Western PA. What do people do w/ the RV and MF info that you provide them - further negotiate w/ the dealer if they're using different numbers? I received a response back from the dealer indicating their RV is the 59%, but the MF is 4 (i.e. .00116) for a 36 / 10 lease.

The RV is fixed by the bank, nothing to negotiate there.
Regarding inflated MF, simply (and politely) tell the dealer you won't sign a deal where the MF has been marked up. You don't have to tell them you know the base rate - they already know what it is.
Hi! Can you provide May MF and RV for 2017 Malibu LS for both 36/10kmi and 24/10kmi in 15213 (PA). Also looking for factory lease incentives. Thanks so much!

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, after taxes, fees and down payment are all factored in. That should cut to the heart of the matter.

MSRP : $ 36705
Adjusted selling price after discount and rebate is $30,950.
Doc fee is $499.
Tag $19.
Lemon law $3
Tax $2337.93
-----------------------------
I talked with dealer and he is declined to waive $1600 from the calculation. I might need to wait if Chevrolet will offer some more rebates or lease cash in future. Thanks.
Still, that's only about $1000.

Thanks in advance!
ADDED: zip code 11361
I think you should get the car that fits your budget and is the car you'll be happy to drive every day for the next 2 or three years. A good deal isn't that good when you don't like the car.
We don't track selling prices, so can't help you there. Use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools.
