39 months is the preferred term, this month

50% and .00019 for 39/15; add 2% for 12K

Car is a 2018 Jaguar XE 25t RSport AWD. Leasing for 39 months at 12K per year, in Pennsylvania.

MSRP at $50950, ‘selling’ price of $45200.
I am putting $1200 out of pocket for first months payment, tax title, license, doc fee, etc. and a bit of money down.

Monthly payment of $555.
Feel quite good about this, but curious on thoughts from others on this board.
Should I close this deal???

Tax rate in PA is 9% on lease payment amount.

$1200 probably isn't enough to cover the first payment and all the fees, so the price looks about right.
I think you did pretty well, considering the tax rate.

they added sales tax, doc fee (799) tax./reg fee (250) and e-filing fee (149) to get to 44,721 from a sale price of 41k

1800 was to cover "inceptions" - first month tag dealer fee etc

Which is incorrect - Florida does not assess sales tax on a lease up front, but on the monthly payment.

Let me guess - is this an AutoNation dealer? They are famous for showing you a purchase quote, then tacking on some lease payments at the bottom of the sheet.

The number you are looking for - and the dealer should provide you - is the adjusted cap cost.

buy out of $28396.48 (=56% is that correct? I guess that doesn't necessarily = residual...)

We'd recommend you roll the taxes and fees into the lease, and only pay the first payment and registration costs at signing.

Base and Premium models have higher residuals. Otherwise, R-Sport is as good as any.
