Looking at an RDX ADV AWD. Deal detailed here - but I can't figure out how the total cap cost is adding up to $51,806.80. Any ideas what I'm missing or does anyone else see numbers here that would get you to that?

What does the "Taxable AMO" represent?

CA taxes the monthly payment.

And, we don't recommend such a large drive off amount - just first payment and DMV costs only.

The lease deals on the 2019 RDX are not all that great at the moment.

It's an OK quote on a car with a not so great lease program.

Some observations:

1) $500 discount + $1500 of accessories? You should just stop right there. (If you want to lease, skip accessories... they can kill a lease deal). That is a pitiful discount

2) Total CAP: I agree... don't see how they got to that number. You can't add anything else except the accessories and acquisition fee, because the rest of it is deducted from the $6000, before arriving at the CAP reduction. There is an extra $1400 in there.

It almost looks like someone made a mistake, and added some of the upfront costs to the Gross CAP. But, if they did, then the CAP reduction should be higher (and, that's not the way you should do it, anyway).

Are there any amounts other than first month payment and registration/inspection/title fees that should be paid upfront? Texas charges sales tax @ 6.25% on the sales price of the car. Should that be paid up front or built into the lease? Thanks for the guidance.

Add the taxes into the lease payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you think that the state will refund you the unused taxes that you pre-paid?

Seems like a reasonable payment for a popular car with a not-so-great lease program.
