My first and highest try was 29, then got down to 21 after about 5 tries. I am 76 so should be receiving a giant teddy bear.

either I need to go to the drag strip, or that needs some calibration, because I started at 40, then dropped to 24, then 22.
I did a constant 44 for 4 or 5 times then started to get increasingly lower numbers so it might need some tweaking.
The best that I could do was 34 and that was only one time. Since that is a good bit less than half my age I'll take it. Even when I was only half trying, I did better than my age. Just for fun I waited a few seconds to respond and I got the message, "you have the reaction time of a very, very old person". One time I got the response, "we're not sure this is a human taking this test", or something like that but could not get that message again. I'm going to take that as being off the chart good.

If it doesn't get me into too much trouble, the next time Mrs. j says, "why don't you act your age". I think I'm going to say, "I know a computer that says I'm 34". Like I said, just thinking about saying that.

Best I can do is 37 year old (I am 72).
But, I think it is because my laptop is slow - nothing to do with me. :D

It isn't possible to stop any faster than I am doing it...besides, not good to panic, and have to check the car behind me too! :D

I would like to see how we would do in real world situations. They should have distractions along the side of the road to distract us. How long would our response time be if Daisy Duke was on the side of the road?

Bucket list item? 😎🎧 All kidding aside, that’s why the Tesla’s naught to 60 times do not appeal to me.

My bucket list would also be a in super/race car driven by the likes of Jeff Gordon, etc., @ a local track, ala Sonoma Raceway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonoma_Raceway Or Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Did the reaction test multiple times.
Started by being rated as a 'Very Old Person'.
Then improved to 85 year old on next try and 81 next one after that.
After a few more attempts, got down to a 31 year old(less than 1/2 my age), so good enough!

My ATS has an 8-speed automatic and has paddle shifters, which I have used once, I believe.

Are we not considering manumatic shifters which are sort of like paddles. I had more fun shifting with that set up on my Eclipse than with the paddles on the Mustang. Neither was a DCT but the effect was the same.

Brought back many fond memories!  We owned a Volvo 1974 DL244 and a 1975 GL640 (IIRC); 1974 Caprice Convertible; and a 2-door Pontiac LeMans 1973 IIRC.

Those  Volvos gave us lots of engine problems, especially that 6 cylinder GL.  But I really liked those photos you posted - kudos!

Well, I made it up to Kissimmee and had dinner with my grandson and 3 of his teammates last night.  They have 6 games scheduled with 4 southeastern division III college teams between today and Monday - couple of doubleheader’s.  Weather got warmer so the boys were happy about that - when they left Nebraska, it was 4 below zero F.

All the boys complained about the snow and cold weather back in Nebraska.  My grandson said he is always cold - a real low desert native.  Should be interesting to see my grandson pitch at least one game as a starter.

Speaking of taxes---Bryce Harper Will Save Tens of Millions of dollars in state Taxes by signing with the Phillies. Why?

Because Pennsylvania has a low flat rate of 3.07% for every taxpayer regardless of income. That’s one reason why superstar slugger Bryce Harper signed an eye-popping 13-year, $330-million contract last week with the Philadelphia Phillies,

Bryce Harper will save tens of millions in taxes by signing with the Phillies instead of a California team--the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

That’s because California is in a league of its own on personal income taxes. We’ve got by far the highest state rate in the nation, topping out at 13.3%.

It was the largest free-agent deal in the history of North American sports.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,647
Living in Philly though, I'd rather pay the extra 10% B)

Could have also gone to WA, TX etc and had no income tax. Of course, the other taxes make it a regressive taxation world for those not in the top few.
  • stickguystickguy Member Posts: 53,815
that is just the state tax. Philly also has a wage tax. It has been a long time since I worked in the city so no clue what it is now, but pretty sure it is more than that state rate. Also, they charge it to people who are just working in town so all the pro athletes have to pay it for their game salary when they play in Philly.

OK, I looked it up. Slightly higher.

    Effective July 1, 2018:
    3.8809% for Philadelphia residents
    3.4567% for non-residents
