    The passenger seat and dash area really looks crammed. The row of buttons looks high up and is there even a left armrest for the passenger?

    Obviously a driver’s car but they went a little nuts on the cockpit look. Reminds me of some GMs of the 70s.

    Here's another view of the interior which looks far better when it is not all black. The strip of buttons is apparently all climate control items.

    Yes, it's much nicer in tan but 21 switches for climate control is nuts.

    Fin, I think younger buyers are very important for Chevy and GM in order to sustain the brands. They are off many of that segments buy list right now except for tucks and large SUV's.

    I think the C8 is moving towards something younger more than any other GM product, even with its price. You can only do so much with more anonymous bloatling CUVs and pleasant but unremarkable sedans (I suppose the trucks can go either way, but in my experience, other brands are reeling them in just as strong). This is a halo car that the generation now hitting their earning peaks might want to obtain. For most of my life, for me and my generational peers, the Vette has been something of a dad/boomer car, and I don't mean that in the nicest way. I think the C8 could turn that on its head. I can't wait to see the old guard whine about it, too.

    No complaints from this 60 y/o boomer. Thank you Chevrolet for keeping the Corvette autonomous-free but adding that thick ergonomic steering wheel and console mounted medication dispenser.

    Maybe around a 68 Thunderbird. Recall the suicide door 4 doors too. Never could make up my mind about the styling of that gen though. Don't dislike it, but don't really like it either. Ambivalence I guess.

    Looks like someone's first new car. Judging by the cars in the background, an early Focus ZX3, around MY 2000-01 or so. I think it was an early launch on the calendar too.

    I knew a guy who had a very early Focus sedan , a 2000 model delivered in the fall of 99. I think he ended up lemon-lawing it, a sticky throttle made it unsafe to drive. On the flipside, my sister bought a new 04 ZX5 and miled it up to something like 180K before moving on.

    IIRC that was the first gen for the Focus nameplate. I rented a couple and found then reasonably enjoyable to drive, something I couldn't say for the current gen.

    Not just some big Healey, the first big Austin-Healey, a 100/4 sporting a 2600cc four banger.This one being MY 1955.

    The Healey 100 created a stir because it came along at a time when most British sports cars still wore pre-war styling with upright radiators and cycle fenders. When it was introduced in 1953 the Healey 100 looked more Italian than British.

    This example shows many features characteristic of Brit sports roadsters that weren't seen on cars from other places.

    Big Healeys could be had with steel disc wheels like those on German and Italian cars but US buyers usually preferred the wire wheel option.

    The windshield was easily removed for racing, the Healeys had a single pane w a slight curvature, other contemporary Brits had flat single or double pane windshields.

    This car wears a tonneau cover designed for easy installation/removal compared to the convertible tops which required erection of the frame before the fabric/cloth could be stretched over it. I liked covering just the empty passenger seat and turning the heat up for touring on crisp fall days.

    Back when I was a kid my older brother had a MGA and it had a tonneau cover. It was cool to see him pull up in it with the tonneau over the passenger side while his side was unzipped.

    Yup, that's a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. The double hood scoops distinguish it from 'Birds w smaller engines

    The pictured car unfortunately has an aftermarket fiberglass hood and the ram air scoops are non-functional.

    Well, the listing states that the original 400 was replaced with a year-correct 400 (the video says it was from a fullsize Pontiac) which was then extensively worked over, and it sure sounds good when driving in the video. The car was someone's pet project but some of the things they did are a little questionable, like putting in a Camaro interior presumably because they couldn't find a correct Firebird one, and making the doors unlockable (or more accurately, unlockable using the keys supplied).

    I think you nailed it, berri. It’s definitely a ‘61 and counting letters on my fingers makes it a G.

    Yup, it's a 1961 Chrysler 300G. IMO it looks great in that brochure art photo but showing more from the front would reveal the awful canted headlights>

Caddy ‘vert and the ‘55 Buick with moon hubcaps is a dark over white two-door that generally looks like a ‘55 Ford and has wheel covers that are consistent but the tail light treatment looks wrong. Is it a custom job or is it some other model?

    On the left front is a Caddy four-door and to it's right are three non-Big 3 cars, a Kaiser, a "Step-down" Hudson and a two-dr Studebaker all appear to be ca.1952-3. There's another Hudson in the right top of the photo.

    I think you might be getting fooled by reflections or other things in the shot. It looks pretty stock to me.

    I'll pick off the oldies of the group - at lower far right (3rd row) I believe I see a 40 Chevy coupe. Further up that row there's what appears to be a 37-38 Dodge or Plymouth sedan - no doubt a "square" car in ~1955.

    I don’t think it’s a 55, not enough fin. Might be a 52-54 though.

    Contrasting headlight rims make me think it is a '55. I always found that look awkward on '55/'56 Fords with two-tone.

    You are absolutely right. Oddly enough I made the mistake because I was using my iPad. When I looked at it on my iPhone, which is newer, I saw that it was an Olds.

    The stance of the Olds looks odd, jacked up in the rear. Not a fan of that two tone color combination. I like red not so much the butterscotch.
