Thing I like best about Subaru: the support and attention I have received from SoA corporate (not just Patti but others in the company). The level of individualized attention I have received has reassured me about some of the "quirkier" aspects of owning a Subaru and is on par with what I would expect from a car manufacturer in a far higher price segment than Subaru. It's gone very far to make me a very likely repeat owner.

'00 OB in classic Winestone
My favorite thing about Subaru - it was easy enough to add BEAR to SUBARU to get my license plate.

Patti: I'm in, because with the $10 million I could buy a whole fleet of Subies for the whole family, even extended family. Heck, I'd even buy one for my mom in Brazil, where they are near-luxury priced!
Lucky numbers, my wife's b-day is 03/27, and I'm 33 years old.
Favorite thing about Subaru? Lots of Japanese makes have quality, but most have no character. Subaru has both - it makes all the difference.

The number of Subarus in the family is growing. Mom just picked up her 02 Forester L from Smith Cairns Subaru in Yonkers NY. I cannot say enough good things about Ray Baker. He's a real straight shooter who did the whole deal with me in 5 minutes on the phone. When mom picked up the car she says she wasn't at the dealership more than 15 minutes. Of course (big surprise) she loves the car!
Can't wait to catch up on the reading -- maybe this weekend one morning with a nice cup of coffee. I hope that everyone is well and look forward to being an active member again.
Pete.
PS. Found a 4th Subaru in Florida, and he lives around the corner from me! A 16 year old with a 2001 silver 2.5RS. I told him to join this board!

Favorite thing?...
Playing, um I mean driving in the snow in a Subaru.
When we do win, I'll pledge 50% my share to the WTC Fund.

I'd really be impressed with this Greek stylist if he could salvage the Baja. Talk about a design that should have been strangled in its crib! Maybe a grill with Ionic columns.
Bob: if you're going to bring in a guy from GM, I'm glad it was from Holden!

Rufus 2001 Forester S with aftermarket moon roof
I find it hard to limit myself to 1 favourite so I'll give 2:
I love the great balance of the Forester - it does everything at least quite well and *nothing* poorly
I love the fact that the Subaru Crew people are so *unbalanced* - I feel like I almost fit in.
:~)
Ross Dave
I love the support and passion of and for Subarus I receive and experience from owners both current, past, and future. I respect and admire SOA's committment to their customers. Uh...I love you guys!! (sniff, sniff) I know..."the award goes to..." LOL!
Stephen
Serge
I love the design philosophy behind our vehicles and the comraderie shared here by the owners!
Ken
Favorite thing?.. Function over form (funky form)

My favorite thing about Subaru is driving it all over the place, and the people on this board for their friendliness and help.

I've only posted a couple of times on the dealers/pricing board but I do read all day long. Being a new owner with no problems to report and not much time behind the wheel (2000 miles since Feb 28th), I don't have a lot of input yet. I do love my Subaru, 2002 Forester S, and so does my wife. We say it really belongs to our 7 month old daughter because wherever she goes she goes in it, only the driver changes.
My favorite thing so far is the safety of a Subaru and how focused the company seems to be about it.

Oh, hypov, gotcha. ;-)
Folks, check out the Future Models thread, which is really heated up. We've declared it a bean-counter-free zone, with absolutely no cost controls nor any limit to your creativity, tell us what Subaru you would like to see in the future! No criticism of ideas allowed!

(Wishful thinking) How much FHI share can we get with it? Of course, I'll have to give up my 'Director' designation at work

At least their putting Holden folks on the board, not Pontiac.

I loved:
Subaru'92 -- price, reliability, comfort, acceleration
Subaru'93 -- price, reliability, looks
Forester'01 -- man oh man. Love acceleration, handling, feature-laden interior, great value for the money.

1) I love how smooth my OB is - like buttah.
2) I love how much fun it is to drive my wife's Forester.

2001 unobtanium gt - rosebud the basselope
I love that it replaces the volkswagon squareback, with the updated pancake boxer, It's quiet, I haven't had to crawl under it to do a valve job,it's got two sunroofs, it moooves on hwy 17 and corners like nobodies business and number one reason it's a subaru (not a vw - i'm officially converted.)

Favorite things:
1) Feeling secure in snow and bad weather.
2) Relief from driving a Toyota (solid but very mundane)!
3) Finally getting to experience the unique engineering that many of my other friends have talked about for years (take a walk on the wild side...).
4) The wonderful experience of sharing with the rest of you folks on this board.
5) Having someone like Patti as an active participant
Enough said? Did I make it under the wire?
Steve
If you see another '00 Winstone OB around the S.E. Wis. or Chgoland area and the driver is waving and honkin at you, don't be alarmed.
Just me.

Lucious 2000 Legacy GT Ltd. in Rio Red.
I think when I shopped for my Legacy back in 1999, Carpoint.com specified that the GT Ltd came with a special UV-tinted glass that was different than that of the GT. Is there any truth to this because it never differentiates this in 2000 Legacy brochures.

2001 Outback LL Bean - White
Love the car, it carries me to work 5 days a week, then carries me to play for 2 days. Does everything with grace and comfort, a joy to drive!
