There is a $2500 Honda-to-dealer incentive valid with the lease.

It is also valid with a purchase, assuming you do not use the special low-rate financing that is offered.

I have some questions regarding current purchase incentives on a 2019 and 2020 Clarity Touring in ZIP 92886 (CA). What are the total manufacturer incentives that exist on both years? I know there is the CVRP, is that included in those incentives? Then to confirm, there is still a 7,500 federal income tax credit, correct?

You should be able to pay cash (or arrange your own financing) to qualify for the $2500

Hi there, I am interested in a Honda Clarity. I would like to lease with 99% intention of purchase at end of lease. Can anyone kindly share residual and money factor as of today, July 26, 2020 ? I am using the helpful Leasehacker calculator which is asking for this information. I am in zip code 94607 - California. I will not qualify for tax credit. I am in need of HOV sticker, test drove the car last week and like it a lot. Also if you are able to share your MSRP experience that would be much appreciated. I can go with Base or Touring model. Just to clarify the $2500 incentive is for purchase only, correct ? Any comment or added info would be very helpful. Many thanks, Mary

Local Bay Area dealership is now offering 2020 Honda Clarity base for $27,500. We are considering an outright purchase so we can claim the $7,500 tax credit ... can moderators and members chime in as to whether this makes sense ? over leasing option ? Thank you, Mary

It depends on how long you want to own the car.

With $6500 incentive from Honda and $7500 from the government, purchase looks pretty good, but if you want to sell in three years, resale might be horrendous.

There is so much information about the Tax Credit $7500 that it is confusing to process whether it is truly available to us. One article references income limit but that appears to be for a State credit (we are in CA). How difficult will it be to receive the credit and does the 2020 Clarity qualify. We asked the local dealer and was told they can't comment.

Since it comes from the Federal government, that is where you should look.
