I have a deal in place, waiting for the car to come in. I didn't do as well as the very sharp deal on the XE I got three years ago, but I don't think I did too bad either. The payment, before tax/title/fees, and before any XE payments rolled in, is a tick over 1% of the MSRP.
I do feel it was a fair deal for me as well as for the dealer, considering some lack of inventory, and perhaps had I waited until Nov or Dec, provided there were still any 2020's in stock... (and with the nicely updated 2021's coming in) I might have been able to do less and/or get a better spec trim/bigger engine car. But I also felt better to return the XE before it needed tires, and maybe brakes (dealer service said the rears were getting thin - in the many leases I've done I've never needed to do brakes - it seems premature brake wear is common on the XE...) and it's RWD, I have to give Jaguar props, their drive modes work very well, I got through 2 winters fine without snow tires, obviously not driving in very deep snow.
So, it's a reasonably optioned 2020 F-Pace Premium 25T AWD (new, not a demo) MSRP $54,890, Sale $48,540, Doc/MVS/Acquisition/a couple payments of the XE (Jaguar only waives 3) totaling $2,250 rolled into the lease, 36/12 Monthly $675/month including NJ tax. Only first month due on delivery.

I don't think very many folks are getting deals equivalent to the ones 3 years ago.

Mthx! I agree, it's a different market now (different world as well...).
Can I make a suggestion? People rarely post what quotes they got from dealers nor what deal they finally did. I was actually reluctant to disclose mine, since I kind of don't want to hurt the dealers sales (even though I did not mention their name... lol) as I negotiate very respectfully, and when dealer is cooperative and gives me a "very good" deal, I don't want them to "lose" on other deals. I want dealers to profit and stay in business, the more they make usually means the more they can discount (volume, volume, volume!). I also have not taken delivery, so the fat lady has not sung yet.
Maybe the forum can introduce a flag the moderators can put on posts reporting quotes and deals, so we can sort posts to see only those? Of course older deals may not reflect numbers that are currently possible due to monthly changes in programs and the market, past performance is no guarantee of future returns lol, but those "real" results help get a better picture of customary deals for that particular car. TIA

We do have a "promote" flag, but I'm not sure the software we use allows members to filter for only those flagged posts.
The biggest issue is that we simply don't have a lot of folks posting their deals. I'd say, for every 100 requests for numbers we get, we'll get maybe 2-3 final deals posted.
Feel free to scroll back a few pages to see if any are posted.
