    I'm currently working with a dealer and they quoted me a higher MF.

    Dealer can mark up the MF for extra profit; insist on the base rate, or shop elsewhere.

    Residual is fixed by the bank.

    The idea is to use this information to ensure you are getting a good deal, by being able to calculate the payments yourself.

    Does the lease cash include the $7500 federal tax credit? I've had a couple dealers tell me it's passed on to the lessee, but are they just calling it the ~$10250 lease cash because they are including the $7500?

    OK that's what I figured. So the max off the MSRP I could fathomly assume is the $10,250.

    No... the dealer is getting $10250 from Audi, so you should get at least that, plus whatever you think a reasonable dealer discount is over and above that amount.

    Then, you'll get $7500 in lease cash off of that negotiated price.

    Sorry, just to confirm, are you saying that there would be $7500 in lease cash in addition to the $10,250?

    To be clear, as a lessee, you aren't eligible for the Federal tax credit. The bank is the owner and gets the credit. the reason the lease cash is so high, is so the bank can effectively give you the benefit of their tax credit.

    I'm sorry... it's the 2019 model that has two separate incentives.

    In any event, you should negotiate a discount, in addition to any lease cash

    Lessees are not eligible for a Federal Tax credit

    If I add the doc fee to the price, you have a 6.7% dealer discount. That's pretty good for Audi.
    51% residual is correct w/AudiCare

    That's a big MF markup. That adds $60/mo. to the payment = $3600 extra

    Effectively, cutting your discount to 1.6% of MSRP.

    I pushed back with regards to the money factor and the finance manager was shocked that I was knowledgeable of this information. So they have agreed to cut me a check for $1759. Basically reducing my payment to $739 a month. Given the discount on the car, I believe this is a good deal unless you tell me otherwise. thanks for your help.
