    @qbrozen - yes, probably. When did you acquire the ML63, what year, and how many miles?

    Basically, if someone reports a purchase in this topic, I usually record it, even if they're not a member here. Maybe we should have rules? IDK.

    One of the local Toyota dealers is offering a 2021 3.0 Premium Supra for a tick under $52k. I might take a look at it tomorrow. My wife really likes it but I'll probably just wait until the prices drop a bit more on 2019.M2 Comps.
    As an aside, one of the accessory boxes ticked on the M2 Comp I posted is carbon fiber mirror caps- over $1k.

    That’s well preserved and a good price IMO. On the downside, it has the basic seats, no auto lamp/auto dim and its the 400. If you are a getting a 77 or 78 may as well seek one out with the 460. It’s not like either is ball of fire, but the 460 was better.

    I really think a Mark V could be in my future as my toy car. It is one of my favorites. Years ago I almost bought a 79, but it was bad timing so I passed.

    The Supra I'm looking at has two options- Nitro Yellow paint and the Driver Assist Package(meh).
    $5898 off the Monroney and a $200 doc fee. Right now I'm waiting to see if they have installed that idiotic gadget that blinks the CHMSL. If so, I'm not bothering to go look at it;38 years of BMW ownership has taught me that the last thing you want is some so-called "technician" hacking into the wiring harness to add a Made in China "upgrade."

    I always like to check out owner forums to get a feel for any problems with a vehicle. I know they often tend to be echo chambers, but sometimes you learn something useful, like the fact that some Giulias have issues with certain options because the cars left the factory missing a couple of wiring harnesses.

    Anyway, I went to www.supraforums.com. They have a section for the new(MKV) cars. It's a hoot, the owners of "classic" Supras hang out there and constantly badger anyone who likes the new models. On one topic a guy was asking about buying a 2020 or 2021 and several people recommended a Camry TRD. With a straight face, I'm afraid.

    I loathe the CHMSL blinker, the kind of "safety" upsell that appeals to pensive timid drivers who already nervously tap the brakes when confronted with anything that makes them think. Seems to be a big thing on Civrollas, their potato CUV cousins, and Hyunkia competitors.

    Odd, I never noticed that on the road. When I have seen such a thing in videos, I thought it was some kind of Euro thing that signaled the driver is braking harder than normal.

    Oxmorons and some other dealers stick that cr*p on everything. On the bright side the Supra doesn't have it- but they offered to install it...

    I haven't seen the blinky CHMSL here, but in the Seattle area, it was everywhere, one could see it on everything from an Accent to a Lexus RX.

    It's a stupid dealer added accessory that a lot of Toyota dealers install on every car on the lot. @qbrozen, some European cars, at least in their domestic markets, flash the hazard lights under hard braking. I remember seeing settings to enable the same feature on vehicles imported to the US.

    Interior color on that xc60 is disappointing. At least it is 2-tone, so it could be worse, but that thing is just screaming for brown leather.

    Yep, I think I have seen the same. Also in Germany anyway, when traffic stops on a highway, people at the end of the line will switch on their hazards.

    The VW dealer where I got the Jetta from started adding the blinking functionality to the CHMSL. They wanted to charge $399 or $499 for it.

    Makes me glad I'm not shopping for a car - new or used - just to avoid the insanity you all are reporting.

    If it weren’t an issue with the Hagerty insurance on the ZHP, I’d just consolidate to one car for us for now. It’s far from ideal, but the hassle is frustrating..

    You could always swap it to regular insurance until you found something. I know it’s much more expensive but cheaper than a car payment.

    It’s not the money - just a huge hassle and if anything happens, they won’t pay out the guaranteed value on the car. Hagerty does.

    That gives me an idea... Hagerty Hooptie Insurance. If your hooptie perishes, they pay you your acquisition cost plus whatever you've spent keeping it running in the past three years or so. Requirements: You must own an entire fleet of hoopties, and can't use any one single hooptie as your daily driver. I reckon the risks are pretty low, as I can't recall any of the YouTube car guys I follow writing off any of their fleet due to a crash or natural disaster.

    What’s the deal with Haggerty? My Prelude is a 2001 & is technically 20 years old. Is it less expensive than conventional insurance? My car is far from perfect. I might get it ready to go and pass it on to my son who turns 16 in 2 years?

    I had a lot of frustration trying to insure my 84’ Corvette with Haggerty. They basically said if I insured through them I could only drive it to and from car shows. That was unacceptable even though the rate was half.

    I changed from Hagerty to American Collectors for my classics. When I did so, Hagerty asked why. I wrote that I wanted to actually drive my cars and AC allows that. A rep called me a little while later to say “we do offer a different policy that allows some driving.” I just said I never heard that before, even when I specifically asked that question when signing up. Oh well. I’m fine with AC’s $300/yr and allowing me 5k miles (IIRC).
