We keep seeing pictures of Hillman Minxes that we sent to you, well here is one that came back to London - apparently the plate is from Kirkuk in Iraq and was photographed at some time in the fifties in London - different times...
Yup,it's a 1967 Simca 1500, thr 1200 looks just like it. This was really the last gasp of Simca in the US but very few came over here. it looks Italian rather than French to me, in fact it resembles a contemporary Lancia Flavia.
Alvis seems like a really good deal, maybe impeded by what is probably a big PITA to move it across the border during the current unpleasantness.
Lemko's car looks like a 39 Hupmobile, last of the line - they had uniquely shaped/set headlights.
That’s correct. It’s a 1938 Hupmobile Six. Actually the last Hupmobile was the 1941 Hupp Skylark based on the Cord 812 platform. There were only a handful produced along with the Graham Hollywood that shared the same platform.
it's a Humber Super Snipe Estate - I thought the other interesting vehicle was the little van ....
And the Wolseley 25 Mk III was one of about twenty made postwar, probably from parts held in the factory as it was a 1938 model - they made a few hundred up to 1939 - but got tiny differences postwar

Nice-looking prewar car. Of course we don't see those in this thread usually.
Yes the van was a DAF and that was quite unusual in early 1960s England - we did get the car - first the Daffodil / 600 and then the 33 which was derived from it - but vans were less common and would've been quite unusual then really
I see a 1964 Dodge Polara, 1969 Ford Country Squire, 1968 Chevrolet Impala, 1968 Oldsmobile F-85, 1964 Chevrolet, and an early ‘60s Chevrolet Greenbrier van.
60 Ford wagon appears to have a non-stock two tone, maybe some kind of commercial livery (factory two tone had hood and sides the same color). My dad's car was red and white, actually came from CA and I want to say was a California-built car.
Blue and white coupe driving towards the right is a 68 Ford, LTD I think as a non-XL Galaxie didn't have hidden headlights, and all XL hardtops were fastbacks.
62 T-Bird in front of the El Camino, I think a significant amount of cigar birds were a shade of silvery blue.
Not sure what you posted, @lemko1968 , never heard of what it claims on the window sheet, but that asking price, Shiftright would say something regarding birthday cakes.

Sorry this one is so grainy but it shows two relatively unusual vehicles
Sunderland Durham pic has what appears to be a Humber wagon/estate (Super Snipe?) second from right, that must be one of the unusual cars.

I forgot about the Hupp Skylark, not sure if I have ever seen one, maybe on my A-C-D trip.

Not surprised by the Beetles, am surprised by the Squire.
