I mentioned a couple weeks back that my wife claimed that females have a stronger reaction to the Pfizer and Moderna injections. I didn't believe that would be true. Others here corrected me.

She had 2nd Moderna on Saturday. Arm sensitive to touch 2/3 of upper arm. Injection spot swollen and hot. Fever next day 100.2. Felt miserable Sunday and Monday. Extremely sore. Today is first day the swelling has gone down and the injection site is no longer hot.

My reaction to 2nd Pfizer was almost not noticeable. I may have had slight chills on 4 or 5th day, but that could have been my strong allergies to trees blooming here.

I guess she was right about women having different reactions. I really hate to admit she was right. Really.

I got my 5G chip last Thursday, Pfizer variety. The place was clearly underutilized - I came in and got vaccinated immediately. Small sore in the arm for couple of days, sort of like somebody hit me (not too hard) with a fist knuckle. Only when pressed directly, e.g. with a finger.

Oh, people say I stop mid sentence once in a while for two-three seconds. It must be chip's continuous data upload and download cycles interfering with my mouth interface. But I don't remember anything, the memory resets must be quite effective... I wonder what will Bill Gates do with all that data coming from these chips...

Did a little Genesis shopping after @abacomike's purchase.
Two local dealers have 0 G90s. North Cincy near GG had 4 and
Dublin had 4 (upscale Columbus suburb).

This one in red I'd like to see in person. Wheels look different
than Mike's wheels. But description says it has a black interior.
It sure don't look black to me. I think Genesis
has strange labels on their interiors...

I have a 2021 G90 brochure in front of me as I write this post. It shows only 2 available wheels - the one in the photo you posted and the wheels on my car. Both sets of wheels and tires are the exact same sizes - 19 x 8.5J (front) and 19 x 9.5J (rear) - tires are P245/45R19 (front) and P275/40R19 (rear). There is no difference in tire and wheel sizes in the V6 and the V8 version of the car.

I prefer the spoked alloys that I have.

Which brings up something I experienced when I opted for the S450 over the S560, and again on the V6 twin turbo over the V8 in the G90. I drove both versions of both cars and found that there was no need for a V8 due to the high torque and 365 hp in the V6. The 3.3 Liter twin turbo delivers all the power you could need on the interstates.

My friend met me at the dealership yesterday and he loved the car so much he bought one for himself this afternoon. He paid cash so he got the same deal I did.

The 6 or 7 Genesis dealerships down in my neck of the woods (South Palm Beach County, Broward County and Miami/Dade County only have 5-8 G90’s in stock, most of them being V8’s.

They don’t build many of them for export to the US. The port of entry here on the southeast coast for Hyundai/Genesis is Brunswick, GA, same as Mercedes and many other imported vehicles.

Not for me. The whole alphabet is out to get me. :s Today, for the first time in memory, I used my credit card to pay for groceries. I stuck my card in, it buzzed for a while and then announced “call someone for assistance”. The girl who sorted it all out looked like an agency operative to me. When I got home I checked my groceries for bugging devices and burned all my clothes. :@

It’s probably because Bill Gates is mad that I use Apple products. They’ll never take me alive. :'(

Did the E not live up to expectations? I had an E class when it was a six cylinder. We got an E loaner when it became a four cylinder. I felt it did not drive as well. Very disappointed. This is my concern with the GLE 350.

The responsiveness of the E450 4MATIC was outstanding. I drove the 4 cylinder E before getting the V6, but found the 4 sluggish and underpowered. It was more about fit for me and the $1700 a month 0% interest 36 month loan that was bothering me. This way, I spread out the $57,000 loan over 60 months.

I am disappointed with the E 350 and GLE 350. I do not want to pay extra to move up to the 450 V6 engine. Financially you did very well with this deal. Thanks for sharing.

    Looks great carnaught....I like BMWs still......they still have flat sides and large windows, and a classic design that has served them well over the years. I also like the way they have some unique colors these days. I like that burnt orange, also fire engine red which MB doesn't offer, and I saw one in blue yesterday that I really liked.....marina blue;

Looking forward to more details, and congratulations.....things come in 3s - who is next?

Presumably because the Canadian market is much smaller than that of the US for a vehicle like the G90, our choices up here are much more limited. According to the Genesis Canada website, there is only one model of the G90 available here (I don't know if that is true in the US) and it comes in only 4 colors, none of which is the one Mike chose:

    Black, with black interior;
    Savile silver, with Havana Brown interior;
Himalayan Grey, with Havana Brown interior; or
Adriatic (dark) Blue, with black interior.

None of the color choices would appeal to me very much but I would have to select one with the brown interior.

They do not list an optional wheel choice with the factory tires but do offer a selection of 18" and 19" approved wheels paired with winter tires.

There are zero options on the car itself, but some accessories are available (though as Mike said, no sunshade). It is a one-price vehicle with a list price of $89,750Cdn.

I don't hear much Nascar talk on here but yesterday was the make-up date for the rained-out dirt-over-concrete races at Bristol. It seemed to be on most of the day, first the trucks, then the cars after a short intermission. With nothing better to do on a cold windy day outside I had it on a lot of the time. I remain absolutely baffled as to why it was done or what the attraction to it is. There was virtually no grip by anyone and so it was a wreck-fest early on until the drivers figured that part out. Then later on the mud and the dust got out of control and it was constant yellow flags. It really wasn't until the last 20 laps that a handful of cars separated themselves from the mess and were able to sort of compete at half speed. But all in all it was like watching mud dry. Inexplicably, Nascar is proclaiming it a success and announced they will do it again next year. I just don't get it. It seemed more like an old Wide World of Sports demo derby from Islip NY than a race.

Contrast that with F1, which sometimes has fewer lead changes in a season than a couple of Cup races. And then there are the ever-present race stewards often making subjective calls and imposing arbitrary sanctions. I still enjoy watching it, but the continuing domination by one team tamps down my enthusiasm.
IMSA is an entirely different form of racing, which I won’t go into.

Yeah, the stewards can be a problem sometimes, seems like the justice is not blind. When it comes to lead changes or passes in general, I prefer F1, as they matter most of the time (unless it's a pit stop lead change), whereas in Nascar or Indy they pass each other all the time, but it's absolutely impossible to tell significance of these passes. Sometimes you can completely forget watching the race in NASCAR or Indy, all you need is last 10 laps, everything that happened before doesn't matter. The thing that infuriated me the most were these late crashes, they spoil the whole thing. How can you lose control on the last straight, I just don't get it...
I agree with you about the last 10 laps, that's why I tend to shy away from the main NASCAR races and love the much shorter races you find in the reginal and local circuits. I much rather watch a few short races than one longer race.

Yeah...that dealer’s not far from me, and near my Acura dealer (owned by the same dealer group).

This was a long while ago, but remember talking to the GM at that Hyundai store, as he used to be at the Acura store (but is now in Dayton). He said there was not enough incentive money from Hyundai for them to build a standalone dealership for Genesis. And, they didn’t sell enough Genesis vehicles to pay for a standalone dealership, which was a result of their inability to provide much Genesis inventory.

Sounds like a vicious circle. And, doesn’t sound like standalone Genesis dealerships are happening any time soon.

A guy in New Mexico came out of a store to find his car filled with bees. From the looks of the car it’s understandable how they mistook it for a bee hive.

From the looks of things it would be a surprise if he came out and found his car washed.
He better get them out of there. Junk yards don’t accept cars with bee hives.

I love the exhibition of the attitude. She mentions "Dublin" which is
a suburb of Columbus where a golf tournament is played annually.

I'd love to know if she's associated with The University or one of the smaller

In Canada...they offer this extra on the lease agreement:
Excess Wear & Use Protection Plan
    $1,700.00
Excess Wear & Use Protection Plan applies to Genesis Finance closed-end leases on Genesis new vehicles and untitled demonstrators with 24,000 or fewer kilometres. It waives costs for qualifying damages up to $7,500 at lease end. With this protection, customers are generally not faced with surprise charges for excess wear and use at the end of lease.
    49 - 60 months
The cost in Canada $89750 and they will special order a V6 for $3000 off that price. The $89750 includes destination charge and at home concierge service.

Front and rear floor mats are about $500 extra, a special coat hangar is available for $115. Extended warranty is a few $1000s.

But it might be worth more as a bee hive.

I offered my don to stop at dealer to get touch up paint for his G70. I’m a lot closer to one than he is. Will poke around the lot if I do.

To my knowledge the only local stand alone Genesis store is nothing to look at. In the past years it was a sports bar, then an insurance office. Perhaps they've done an interior remodel, I have no idea. It just looks like basic building with a parking lot full of vehicles which is directly next door to the Hyundai dealer. I suspect they share the service dept.

Violence and mayhem has a long attraction for the human race. Try as we might we are violent creatures. Sometimes it morphs into virtual violence as in cancel culture.
Well we have to be, to progress like we did it takes brain power and that requires a lot of protein to support. The best sources of proteins are meats. In order to get meat we have to be aggressive to hunt it down and kill it. If we stayed vegetarians we wouldn't have progressed anywhere near where we are today.
So does that mean vegetarians aren't as intelligent?
Ya know, I’m beginning to think you’re a vegetarian.
