    Lancia Thema, same platform as Saab 9000 and Alfa 164, one variant has a Ferrari-derived engine.

    That is a Lancia Thema 8.32 - the one with the Ferrari Dino engine.

    My recollection is that the 8.32 badge on the grille was yellow on this model while it looks more white, but I think its the hot one...

    They only made that in LHD but they did sell it in Britain, and I actually sat in one at the London Motor Show in the late eighties - hardly saw any on the road although a neighbour at my previous address in London did have a normal Thema for a few years and he must have liked it as he followed it with a Dedra

    Lancia dropped out of the UK market by the early nineties as the rust problems on the Beta were killing them

    Yes, the pictured car is the Lancia Thema 8.32, the one sporting the Ferrari V8. It shared chassis with the Alfa 164, Saab 900 and Fiat Chroma. The engine was not the "Dino" engine, that was a V6 displacing either 2.0 liters or most commonly 2.4 liters. The 832 (8cyl, 3.2 liters) motor was used in the Ferrari 308 series which suceeded the Dinos.

    Sorry Stick, it's neither or Porsche nor a Karmann Ghia. The K-G, like most aircooled VWs had very little in the way of instruments.

    Yes, it was one of Hoffman's few misses. Styling by Albrecht Goertz who later did the original 240Z.

    Yup, that's SFO, you can see a bit of the Golden Gate Bridge thru the gap between buildings. The blue sedan looks like a MK.II Jag which would make it one of the newest cars (intro'd 1959) unless it's the earlier Mk.1(1955-58)

    Looks more like one of the Loewy coupes to me, the Hawks had a more formal roofline. TheVee-dub is pre-1958 with the small oval rear glass. I think there's a black Dauphine parked across the street from it.

    Right again, Fin. It is indeed a Mark I. You can tell by the thicker, body-colored B pillar.

    W111 fintail appears to maybe have a "B" registration suffix, so 1964. Also appears to have mudflaps.

    Yes, it's a 1964 Elva Courier, about 500 were made by a small British maker known mostly for small bore racing cars from 1958-69
    Most Couriers used MG engines and were successful in production sports racing here and in the UK. Street versions were made but few sold in the USA. Several promising US drivers used them in their early careers, Mark Donohue and Jim Hall among them.
