Felt good in the Integra. Actually, the CVT Integra feels slower than my Accord. My Accord isn't a slug, but it's not my previous Stinger and the difference is noticeable. If there was any complaint with the CVT, it would be that.
Everything else was the same vs the manual trans. It's comfortable. Nice materials and build. Great stereo. Like my previous TLX and my current Accord, paint is "deep" looking with no noticeable orange peal (unless you get within an inch or so from it).
If you're looking for a nice, good handling, well equipped car, that handles, steers and brakes well for under $40K, you'd be hard pressed to find better (with the exception of my Accord).
It's a looker, too. I especially liked the rear.
Anything that gets poor mileage may stop selling, if gas prices don't come down soon.

I was just getting ready to say if dealers get panicky about having too many gas hogs on their lot, then this is probably a good time to try stealing one. At the right price you just might be able to offset $5 a gallon for gas for a while. I doubt gas prices are going to remain this high forever. It’s not like waiting for CD’s to give you a 10% return again anytime soon.
Your friend seems to be almost as smart as me.

Tesla (TSLA) announced in its annual proxy statement released late Friday it will seek shareholder approval to split its stock 3-for-1.
Shareholders will vote on the proposal at Tesla's annual meeting on August 4th.
Tesla shares rose as much as 3% after hours on Friday following the news; shares fell 3.1% during Friday's regular trading session. Tesla shares have dropped 34% so far this year.
Tesla says the 3-for-1 stock split would be executed via a special dividend given to investors.
500 charging stations in 8 years ain’t gonna raise the water level of the ocean anymore than spitting into it.
I know we have to start somewhere but c’mon man we gotta try a lot harder than that.

Until there are at least 8 charging stations for every 10 gas pumps nation wide EVs won't be widely accepted outside of major urban areas.

at our annual shore vacation we shar the house with my BIL and both my kids. Since we are all in different places there will be 4 cars there. I am bringing the Maverick, which at 6 months old, is going to be the 3rd oldest of the 4 most likely. My Daughter just got her car this week, and my BIL is hoping to have a new X5 by then.
my son's 2021 Audi (just turned a year old) will be the "antique" in the driveway.

Us locals don’t think it’s as big a deal as the out of towers. Some people spend the entire month there but if I go to the track once it’s enough for me. The people who make out big are those that rent out their homes or even their lawns.

The second case was a murder; those are tough so I always make sure I know the facts inside and out. The victim(s) will be present and I want them to have confidence in me as well as the case. I spent the better part of Thursday reviewing the file and viewing the defendant's police interview(it is nearly 3 hours in length and the guy is so hyper/scatterbrained that it is excruciating to watch. The attorney for the defendant couldn't make it so he sent another guy from his office. This guy literally knew NOTHING about the case- asking questions about the discovery we provided to their office in March 2021. I was way, WAAAY beyond p*ssed. He wasted everyone's time, and my victims(the next of kin) had taken off from work- it was all for nothing.
The mediator and the trial judge were not happy either. The trial is set about 30 days off, and I'm betting the defense moves for a continuance. I'll strongly object and I suspect that the judge will not be inclined to grant the motion. I try to be reasonable and accommodating to defense attorneys but I have my limits. I told my staff that days like today are the reason I don't keep my Ruger or bourbon at the office.

The question came up today for a new fancy monument sign build for this gas station mart rebuild; will the new display sign have room for a 4 digit price? We might need that soon. Get ready for $10.00 and 9/10ths per gallon.

Andre, if you want price controls, just say do. That always works well!
KY, I seem to recall a big percent of EV owners never (or exceedingly rarely) use public chargers. Only on road trips which many don’t take. Unless they are around home and using free included juice instead!

Once big oil starts to panic about dropping demand (BTW, the current price rise has demand down 5%, already), they’ll start looking to gov’t to dig them out of their self dug hole. Any politician who supports this thievery should be sent packing ASAP.

A smart one will diversify. Gas will be around for a long time but likely continue to decline in total use. So need some vision for the future.

I checked the box scores for the series the Blue birds won game three. The A's almost blew both games 4 and 5 winning each by one run after having decent leads earlier in the games.

But unless you spend the extra bucks to install a charging system that outlet in your garage would take forever to charge up your car.

There are a lot of public charging stations around me and often I see cars parked in them charging. Usually at places where you would expect someone to be for a while. Like where there are restaurants or at shopping malls. The ones at drug stores or grocery stores where people pop in and out I never see people at.

@GG, thanks for the correction. Among the standards called for in the proposed national charging network are requiring EV charging stations every 50 miles on the national highway system, with each location no more than one mile from the highway. The stations would need at least four DC fast-charging ports per station, for example, as well as standard AC charging ports.
I really think the gas station set up is not good for EV charging, or at least want be until you can recharge an EV from nearly empty to full in 5 to 10 minutes. Charging stations would seem to be better placed where people might want to be for some time like restuarants and shopping.
Big oil doesn't really have much to worry about until they come up with batteries that will give a freight train 300+ mile range or the cargo ship enough range to cross the Pacific. Go juice for cars is only part of what oil is used for.
2011 Hyundai Sonata, 2014 BMW 428i convertible, 2015 Honda CTX700D
When you say "national highway system" does that mean just the Interstate Highway system or would that include US highways? If it's the later I can see some issues with that on US highways out west.

One convenience store chain where we gas up and get coffee has started allocating some of their limited parking to charging stations. Evidently, no one wants to hang out at the Quicky Mart for an hour or more so the stations are never used. This results in other customers parking on the grass, sidewalk, in front of the air pump or other inappropriate places.

I checked the box scores for the series the Blue birds won game three. The A's almost blew both games 4 and 5 winning each by one run after having decent leads earlier in the games.
One run lead was a guaranteed win for the A's with Eckersley closing (except when a Kirk Gibson fakes an injury and he feels sorry for him with an 0 and 2 count).
To be fair I’ve seen other car makers have similar clar coat problems if they last as long as a a Honda.
I see a lot of Honda products that have the clearcoat and even the base coat worn away on the hood and the roof in this area. I can't tell the age of those vehicles, b ecause I don't know the variations from year-to-year. I also see some paint problems on other brands as well.
I don't notice as many on the Toyota family of products.
I think the deterioation is due to quality problems and locale, such as Florida heat and sun. But the quality problems likely come from having to meet the silly EPA requirements for pollution through the years. I recall our 98 Century had about 10 bubbles in the paint form after a few years. Like the bubbles that were from silicone waxes that weren't removed properly before repainting on an accident repair. PPG paid to repaint quite a few GM cars that met certain requirements and where the dealer requested it. They repainted down to the midline of the door.
The EPA requirements had encourage the company to suggest a two step paint process that used to be 3 steps. There was a base coat and then a finish coat was supposed to stick to that base coat. Earlier there was a base coat, followed by a coat that stuck to the base and that the finish coat was able to stick to.
I recall touring the GM truck plant in Moraine that built the S10 and seeing a waterfall setup that had the air from the paint process sucked through it for the water to catch the paint mist that came from the painting.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
Toyota has paint problems too, especially with white. Previous generation RAV4’s are known to have the paint come off in sheets.
