My wife, son and I liked the HP books and films. My son and I followed the MCU until the wheels fell off after Phase Three. This summer we are looking forward to F1 and Superman. My son liked Ballerina (a fifth installment of the beloved John Wick franchise).

I’ve seen the previews for Superman. Do we really need another? There was the original Superman movies in the ‘80s, then Man of Steel about what? 10 years ish ago?

My son loves F1 and is excited to see the movie.

This reboot is essentially the last attempt to establish the DCU; I like James Gunn's style; I wasn't interested in the Zack Snyder iterations.

The Suzuki will be 30 next year and has less than 30k (I think. Probably much less than 30k). And the Alfa is 27 yrs old with 41k miles. Do I win?

Coming up on 3 yrs with the Sprinter and just passed 12k.

The Snyder cut of Justice League was exponentially better than the theatre release, IMHO. My older son agrees.

I'm with you, not really my cup of tea but she's a HP fanatic so this a must visit. I still found it interesting though, even being relatively unfamiliar with all the storylines and characters.

My wife likes HP too… but surprisingly she also loves Marvel. We always watch the new ones in our movie room. I wasn’t a huge fan but over the years have really come to enjoy them.

I also can geek out because the visuals and sounds really give your system a workout. I’m sure @roadburner and @graphicguy would agree.

    Yessir!

Guy who has an audio booth at the local Antique Mall called yesterday stating he had some "very nice" subwoofers he just got. He wanted to know if I'd be interested. I need more subwoofers like I need a Nigerian Prince as a relative.

Told him I "might" be interested, but couldn't come to look at them for another week or so as I'm still not allowed to drive after my surgery.

He sent some specs to them. One in particular I might be interested in....an SVS sub, which are high quality.

Probably be a week, maybe two, until I can get driving clearance and can go see them. In a way, I hope he sells them before that. In another way, I hope he doesn't so I can go grab them.

Glad you are recovering. I’m sure it seems like an eternity.

————————————————Thanks, I saw that when I did a search last week. When I showed it to my son, he said he’d consider it but not right away. I think the price might have hurt his eyes, although he didn’t say that. He might have to raise the commission on his flips to pay for that.

Scooter had a cyst removed from her rump a couple years ago. She constantly licked at it and made it look raw. As soon as it was gone, she stopped messing with it at all. I put a donut collar on her when I was gone, but she got her freedom when I was in the house.

I am very familiar with the cone. A miserable experience for all. Recently one of our dogs had to have a toe removed because of cancer. When I could I sit in the den and have the dog in my view, I would take the cone off for relief and called it the “No cone zone”. Hope your pup heals quickly.

Thanks. I’ve been doing the same thing- leaving the cone off when I can watch him. A friend has a GSD and that dog would take the cone off in under 30 seconds.

Big weekend here. Princess is getting married on Saturday. Apparently (based on all the stuff my wife dragged out) we are bringing everything for it. Been a long time since I had to pack heavy in the RDX. definitely not as easy as with the truck! I just didn’t want to have to park that in the garages in Boston.

Congrats on you daughters marriage. Why didn’t you have the wedding in your back yard? That seems to be very popular these days. Then off to a local reception hall for the eats. Then again you could always do a cookout in your backyard too. That would have saved you a ton.

    Congrats again.

    Thanks all.

Backyard is too small. But plenty of the side yard! She thought about going by us but decided it’s much more convenient to do it where they live.

Wallet did take a small beating but it’s worth it.

On another automotive magazine's page I repeated my usual criticism of the current styling (or lack thereof) of modern BMWs.
One of the magazine's editors replied:
“Minecraft/Lego design language:” Now I can’t unsee that.

Huh. I would say that could also apply to the latest iteration of Toyota trucks and large SUVs.

Does anyone remember the short lived electronics store HH Gregg? Years ago I took over a few of their spaces and the broker informed me their facade had the “H” element designed into it. Once he pointed it out I couldn’t unsee it even after I painted it to match our colors

@tjc78 HH Gregg was big in the Cincinnati area. It was a nice alternative. They also had appliances. They employed SALES people. Just keep looking, tell them you'll be back later, etc, etc, and sometimes they would almost pay you to buy. :D

We did buy a washer/dryer combo, there, once. And TVs.

Bought a couple tvs at HH Gregg. Salespeople were knowledgeable. They worked to make a sale but didn't try to force an item onto me. They made sure I bought the one I actually wanted.

Price guarantee for 30 days. They paid difference on one tv that came down in price.
