That's for sure. Not that this was good design, but the second generation Camaro (and Firebird) was the one car with a spoiler that absolutely had to have a spoiler. The back end of that car was so gawdawfully ugly without it.

There is a nice Fintail (charcoal) up front. The one that fascinates me most, however, is the blue-green example two up on the other side of the Fiat(?). It looks like something special.

I think the car on the other side of the Fiat is just in an eye-catching color. Does not appear to have the chrome trim of a 300SE, so likely a 220S/SE.

The only non-limo LWB fintail was just slightly longer, via a rear door lengthening. These cars (W112 300SE) also had a bit more chrome than other models, and were low production.

With those wheels it'd probably be a 280E when new, but by now who knows. Many more surviving 300D models, I bet.

Unless the wheels have been added it is almost certainly a 280E or 300D as it appears to be a USDM car. 240D owners seemed to rarely spring for bundts. I believe 280E was a 1977-81 model in this market, where 300D was offered for the entire USDM run (MY 1977-85).

I saw 2 or 3 of those Mercury trucks at a Mercury National meet here in Dayton 3 or 4 years ago. When I saw the first one, I was surprised. I didn't even know they existed!

Yeah, a Canada only thing which I believe were made mostly at Ford's Oakville, Ontario assembly plant. Truly badge engineering as aside from nameplates they were mechanically identical to Ford pickups by the end. 1968 was the last model year for them.

Interestingly, Oakville also produced Mercury-branded medium-duty large trucks along with Econoline vans badged as Mercury.
