I have a question regarding the location and the finance numbers. Is the location suppose to be for where the vehicle is going to be registered or the location of the dealership you are leasing from ?

I suspect that it's where the vehicle is registered, but not 100% certain.

Why - you planning to lease in a different geography from where you live?

The numbers we have for Chrysler Capital are national, either way.

I have been working with Heritage Ram in Baltimore, but I live in NYC. This is my first time leasing and I want to find out as much as I can about the process. I have been going back and forth via email with a sales rep. I'm not sure if this was a good deal or not. Here is the vehicle in question.

That's higher than I expected. $558 is tax included or not. Can you give me the Lending Rate and the residual value at End of Loan ? I would prefer to lease the vehicle and with a cap cost of $38,665 I expected a lower monthly payment. I'm just looking for clarification on the number you gave me. Thank you.

I am not sure what you expected, but 558 for 36 months equals $20,088 for a truck that stickers at $52,365. That seems pretty good to me. The residual is 58 and the rate is 7.35 because we are going through a lender that gives 7,500 in rebates. We could go with a lower rate, but the payment would be higher with less residual. Leases are always payment driven.

@jctpmmm Expecting a CJD salesperson in Baltimore to have the correct tax for NYS might be a stretch. In Maryland they tax the full selling price of the vehicle.

Hey I tried searching through these pages and couldnt find anything for the outdoorsman. I am looking to lease a ram by the end of the month. I was wondering if you could give me lease prices on a 36/12 for ecodiesel 4x4 quadcab 6'4 bed. I am currently looking at an outdoorsman or a big horn. thanks!

 jctpmmm - seeing your 7.35% MF I wonder if Heritage is giving you numbers for a lease through Ally, not Chrysler. I'm running into the same issue with my local dealer. They are claiming that Ally is providing a $8250 incentive which offsets the high interest rate and low residual. Taking this incentive means you don't qualify for some of the Chrysler incentives. Getting them to quote me the Chrysler Capital numbers is like pulling teeth, I wonder if Ally isn't giving the dealer a huge kickback.

In any case, the numbers / payments they are quoting do not match up with any lease calculator I have used. I'm wondering if there are hidden fees with Ally that are skewing the numbers

I just leased a $49k ram outdoorsman for 24mo/15k for $269/mo with $500 total out of pocket, trying to find a dealer that believed me that Chrysler rates worked better for me with a decent selling price was almost impossible. Every dealer goes right to ally or Hahn because the rebate offsets the discount you should be able to negotiate with the better rates from Chrysler capital. They are able to say "look at all the money I'm saving you" when in reality they aren't discounting anything, in fact they are making additional $'s on the financing from 3rd party banks. In the end I had to go 3 states away to find a dealer that would punch into their computers and corroborate what I was telling them would be there for my terms and the rebates I qualified for at a very good selling price before the rebates were applied. While I was picking the truck up, several of the sales guys commented that they never thought they could afford to lease a ram but we're going to use my deal as a reference to get their own.

Got a price of total msrp 48190.  With a total of 2000 down which includes first month and some of the taxes on a 36/12 lease with a monthly of 395.  How does that sound ?

I don't know your state or tax rate, but that sounds like a pretty good deal on a $48K truck.

Which is the MSRP - $45K or $47K? The more precise you are, the more precise I can be with my calculations. $2000 is about $55-60/mo difference in payment.
