There is a very narrow grid right where the wipers park on the windshield. My salesman says he knows because they had to replace a windshield and were sent the wrong one--it didn't have the grid--and they had to reorder. Start the truck, then push the button that defrosts the side mirrors. After a few minutes, feel under the wiper blades. It's warm. Nice touch, I think.
DVD navigation and backup camera are not available in the REGULAR at all, optional in DOUBLE CAB and CREWMAX per Toyota brochure. Any salesman should be able to provide you with a hard copy of the Tundra brochure. All trim lines and options are there. You can also find it all @ www.toyota.com. From memory I would say that you can request a hard copy brochure online also.
Yeah. Apparently in northern california, when i go to Toyota.com and build a Tundra Crew Cab, I am forced to select the Limited trim for the Nav and Reverse camera. Total BS!
Can some1 please help me confirm? My zip code is 95110. Thank you all!

Check with Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville NC. I have checked several Toyota regions and they seem to have the rock bottom best prices. Their prices are posted on their website. I have ordered a crewmax 4x2. I am told they sell about 100 Tundra's a month. They probable have about 75+ on their lot right now. Rebate on the crewmax is $3,500.00.
Thanks for the Jim Barkley info. I have ordered one from them. Will have to drive 350 miles to get it but it is worth the savings. Everything was pretty cut and dry with the sales person. I only hope it goes that smooth when I go to pick up my new Tundra.
Thanks for the info. I just have one more "stupid" question. How do those rebates exactly work? Is the rebate on M.S.R.P.,sticker price or what. Thanks again
A "rebate", more commonly referred to as "Cash to Customer" or other monikers, is money paid directly to the customer, or applied to the price of a vehicle after all fees, and taxes have been applied. In the case of Jim Barkley of Asheville, which is part of the Southeast Region of Toyota, the selling price online includes the rebate. Currently the rebates there are $3,500 on all Tundras. Their selling price is really close to the invoice price with this rebate applied.
One should always know the invoice price. That should be the starting point of dealing. Invoice, and up or down from there. MSRP should literally be taken as the "Manufacturers SUGGESTEDRetail Price."
Check out Jim Barkley Toyota.com. Their prices are posted on their web site. They have a $3500.00 rebate on the Crewmax plus additional discounts. You can get a Crewmax limited with a MSRP of $40,000.00 for about $34,000.00 after discounts and rebates.
Hi All, It's been a while since I've posted at Edmunds, and I didn't expect to, but... It looks like I'm selling my Dodge diesel to replace with some Toyota truck. I had been thinking 02-03 Tacomas or Tundras, but in the D.C area, they just don't depreciate, and buying new might (yes, this is a rationalization) make more sense. That's particularly true if I could come in at $500 over invoice, plus the $3000 back.
Thanks for the reply. I am flying down to Jim Barkley Toyota tomorrow to pick up my doublecab 4x4 shortbed 5.7. They came in just under invoice + $3000 back. It has been super easy so far, and my confidence is really high that this is going to be an easy purchase. On the down side, I'm spending $250 in airfare and an 8 hour drive home.
Most of all I liked their internet listing of the final price and full disclosure. I'll let you know how it goes.
flypigs - Keep me posted on how things go with the final sale. I drive 6 hours on Saturday to pick up my Crewmax at Jim Barkley as well. Who's your sales rep. at JB?
My main reason for a '07 Tundra Reg Cab Long Bed 4x4 is for a truck pop-up camper (https://www.allterraincampers.com/, the Cougar model). I also wanted the 0% for 48 months, and I was not sure what deals the '08 would have.
We do an annual trip to the northwest corner of Montana every year, and we HATE sleeping in motels. So, next June, I will drive to Sacramento (from Michigan) to pickup that camper on our trip to Montana.
I only have about 750 miles on it, and no problems/dislikes/surprises, because I researched 1/2T pickup trucks to death, and Tundra was exactly what I wanted. I pretty much knew what all the good/bad things are.
I am 100% sure you and Jim Barley will have a very good experience. (Do not forget to ask about free oil filters!)
That was an easy purchase. I'll post a longer reply when I get a few more minutes. We're not supposed to mention names, but email me if you want the sales guy. Another employee picked me up at Asheville's airport, and 1 hour later I was driving out of town. Price was exactly as posted on their website, which was about $100 under invoice, and then $3000 back. It was easy, but a tiny bit rushed in the dealership. They are definitely experts at this kind of a sale.
It took a $250 flight, and an 8 hour drive home, but it was worth it, and I like dealing with a straight up dealership.
Had a great experience at Jim Barkley. I was in and out in about an hour.(They even fed me lunch) The truck was cleaned up with a full tank of gas and ready to go. Best experience I have ever had in buyng a vehicle. No hidden or added on fees. I paid exactly what was on their website. Everyone was super nice. Well worth the trip. (I to got the 6 free oil filters). The Tunda Crewmax is a beast of a truck and fun to drive.
The price on the internet is the out the door price plus tax & tag. The price on the internet also reflects the current rebate. If you want the 0% APR, add the rebate back to the internet price.
Rebates for the period of 9/5/07 thru 10/1/07 in the Southeast Toyota region are the same as they were in August. $3,000 rebate or 0% for 48 months, 1.9% for 60 months.
Well, Jim Barkley Toyo did not have the color I wanted, but a neighboring dealer did and they were willing to match his price. I get the truck tomorrow...Can't wait! If my calcs are correct, I am getting it for 400 below invoice before you tack on the additional 3000 Cash back...
Got the new Tundra - DC 4 X 4 Limited Radiant Red. Very nice and am blown away with all of the options. The only issue, which I hope is not an issue, is someone folded up the rear seat with the cleats for the rail system stuck in between. They left a couple of dimples. The dealer saw them and indicated he would make them right if they did not work themselves out.
Anyway, Got a fantastic deal and will provide the name of the salesman if requested. I thought I read somewhere we could not post names...not sure.
Just put a deposit down on a very hard to find (in the NW) 5.7 4x4 DC Limited with Nav. The nav option in a 5.7 DC was what made this a fairly rare bird at this late stage of the game. The 08's are starting to show up on the dealers computers, wish I had been looking for trucks a couple of months ago.
The best I could do was a $1,000 over dealer invoice (about $3,000 under MSRP) plus tax and tags, no other fees. I'm taking the 0% financing so no rebate in those figures.
The truck is also coming with 20" wheels, TRD exhaust, sonar, tow mirrors, and the other usual stuff they option this things out with.
You could have done better! That is pretty much the exact vehicle I got for $500 over invoice in mid-may after a 3 month search. I had 6 dealers at that price. Months later, I'm sure you could do better. You will love the Tundra even if you didn't get the best deal.
And how do you know that? Are you from the same area as he is? Prices vary widely by geographic area. I don't know why you make such a post and burst the guy's bubble.
Its also timing, no more 07 Limited's with nav heading into my region. Didn't want to chance missing out on the 0% interest rate, no one knows if there will be any incentives on the 08's.
3000 off with another 3000-4000 in financing is pretty good if there was only one left within driving distance.
All the chevs, tundras, fords, dodges etc wholesale 10000-14000 off msrp 1st year so there will be incentives. Starting off smaller and getting progressively larger as the year wears on. Just like in 06,05,04.
All you folks negotiating remind the dealer that a 34000-$35000 dodge ram 1500 is discounted 12k and available for 22000+ all day long with the lifetime powertrain warranty and is awfully competitive with tundra, chev, etc. As a matter of fact check it out.
Good luck --jjf

What neighboring dealer did you buy from? I have spoken to Jim Barkley and it seems those trucks are spoken for. I can drive anywhere in the southeast. I am looking for crewmax 4x4 limited in green and cannot find one. Thanks
Anyone know of best place in or near Houston to get a good deal on a Crew Max 5.7? I received an email from Fred Haas in Spring saying he would sell at cost. Is this a good deal?

time for me to upgrade to the new Tundra's.
My main requirements are Tundra Crew Cab w/ Navigation & Reverse Camera.
According to some salesman, Navigation and Reverse Camera are ONLY available in the Limited. Is this true?
Also, anyone have experience in buying a Crew Cab w/ Navigation in Northern California?
Please kindly share your experience and exact options of your Tundra.
Thank you all! Your help is much appreciated!
Can some1 please help me confirm? My zip code is 95110. Thank you all!

Hope my experience on Saturday goes as well as yours. What are your pro's & con's on the truck so far. I am switching from chevy to toyota.
