Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous (Archived)
Not my exact way of doing things, but used equity to buy down the lease.
Ended up at 18 months at $370 a month with $2500 check back to her.
They got her $26,500 for the RAV using a Toyota dealer they are friendly with. Every car they had was marked $7500 market adjustment. This lease was at MSRP (42K) and buy rate.
All in all the equity from the Yota was completely unexpected and essentially “free money”. This car will cost her $4160 out of pocket to drive for 18 months. She is banking the extra $2500 for the next lease if needed.
Bottom she loves it and is very happy with the overall outcome.
Thanks @kyfdx for confirming the MF in the leasing forum.
I could have done better with a broker on LH but they didn’t want her RAV and it would have been much more complex and three hours away. This was pretty easy and the dealer is 10 mins away.
Dealer did try some shenanigans when trying to apply the equity (bumped MF “accidentally” and try to double dip inceptions) but when I questioned it he figured it out.

New Murano SV AWD for Mom. Pearl white over graphite “leather”

This thing is so tiny! Hard to compare. Smaller than my ‘07 GTI, it seems. I love it!
BTW, with the trailer, if I had good ramps, I’m fairly certain I could carry one inside the Sprinter and something else on the trailer.

Currently driving in eastern Oregon. While a town might be small, it has everything you need.

You just have to wear your baseball cap backwards when you drive it.I know very little about these chargers but this has been sitting at the lot where I bought my wagon. Cool looking muscle car.
