Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
Just received permission from Docs I can drive again. Been a month and a half since I got behind the wheel. Just wanted to drive around a bit just to see how it felt (fine, but right leg still hurts). So, the horrors, went to a car wash because I'm not going to hand wash my car any time soon.————————————————
Went to a popular one in Sharonville, OH where they do the whole shebang...inside, outside, windows, vacuum, tire shine, etc.
Mostly, it's staffed by young people for a summer job and what I'll kindly surmise are people with questionable legal status. No matter, they did a great job.
Was talking to the kind (maybe 17-19 years old) that dried my car. He said he had lost 18 pounds in the last 3 days working. I tipped him well.
Oh year, good to have a clean car again, too.
Thanks for the warning. We now know to be on the lookout for an old geezer with a shiny car trying to learn how to drive again.

Anyway, good to hear you’re almost your old self again.

I missed about 4 pages, I have been ultra busy but I am putting in an appearance just for the fans.He has a number of videos like that criticizing the engine or transmission of usually low end cars although he trashes Range Rovers all the time. No details so I find him frustrating.
This guy as 5 cars you should not buy....short and sweet and kind of amusing:

Re: 2025 Kia Sportage Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices
What is your location?Hi, Need some advice on Kia Sportage PHEV X line Prestige (MSRP~46K) and Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige model(MSRP~40K), The calculations show that the PHEV has lower monthly lease payment for the same 36/12K. I understand it depends on the incentives, PHEV has $4250 lease cash incentive and SX prestige doesn't. Is this a correct observation? The money factor and residual value may be playing a role. Based on that would like to focus on purchasing that model. My goal is to pick the one whichever would get the lowest monthly payment (with almost the same features). I will miss carmine red interior package though 🙂.
Yes, incentives play a part in determining the lease payment.
But, the best way to get a lower payment is to start with a less expensive trim level.
PS - my daughter has an SX Prestige Hybrid with the red interior. Stands out from the typical black found in just about everything else.
Re: 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices
OK, I have no information on either of these, then.Sorry, I used the wrong name on the first one. Family First EV allowance. It works on a lease as well, this is stated in the email with the authorization number. The lease cash, I don't see it on chevys but tool, but find it referenced that it is currently available from various places online, AI etc.
Let us know what your dealer says about them.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
When you are dreaming, what's another $7,000? For the past few years I've LOVED the look of the 911 Targa4 GTS. Last night while helping my sister look for a new SUV to replace her GLC300 4MATIC, my 18 year old son and I were "building" a Rogue for her. She is going to get a Rogue Rock Creek from Aronochi on LH. Afterwards he jumped to the Porsche website. I noticed the only way to get a "4" 911 is on the Carrera 4 GTS, the Carrera 4 GTS Cab, & the Carrera 4 Targa GTS. I noticed that the starting price of the 911 Targa 4 GTS is a staggering $190K. For a mere $7K more I can get myself a 911 Turbo. Or I'll have to wait for @breld to get bored of his '17 911, then he'll pick up a Turbo, and I still won't be able to afford one. A guy can dream can't he?I'm so old, I remember when back in the '80s they said a coke habit was God's way of telling you that you had too much money. Maybe now it is 911s.
Wasn't that from the great Robin Williams? I thought he was a riot. Some of his appearances on Carson were priceless. Yes, I'm old too.

Re: Postwar Studebakers
Whitewalls, and white wheels as was factory, look so much better.

Re: Postwar Studebakers
Although I had owned two '66's, I think the '64-65 detail styling is better. That one has nice original seats.
I think that's a '40. Luxurious-looking IMHO.
EDIT: Duh, it's a '39!
