We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary but then the rest of the week has been wonky. Insulin pump died and they overnighted a new one. Decided I’d try an Omnipod 5 while waiting for my new Tandem Mobi, but two in a row failed. Forgot to mention that an AC compressor died and waiting on an estimate. It’s the upstairs system and only one child home this summer but thankfully she is in Indy at cheer camp. This will be th le second HVAC system failure here in the last 1.5 yrs. Two more to go. Florida house had similar and both systems changed in the last couple of years too. That reminds me that the Florida salt water pool generator just went kaput on last Wednesday so that got swapped out too. Painful week.

I trimmed some redbuds while on a ladder, but I did it in the morning before it got too hot.

No insurance, but to his credit he stuck around and took his licks. Cited for reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, and failure to insure. I submitted a claim to Safeco because I’m expecting this is gonna be a solid 3-4K+ of damage between the rear door, rear quarter panel, and bumper cover.

Yep. And because I was in front of and behind someone, there was nothing to do except some choice swear words as I realized he wasn’t going to correct it in time to avoid the accident.

Unfortunately this is not a PDR and paint situation. The rear quarter panel is way more pushed in than it looks.

Fired up the 1963 corvette and drove for a bit in the blistering heat. Apparently I need a new ferrule on the oil line going to the oil gauge because my right lower leg was covered with dripping oil.

Buy. Of course.

Man, that is the worst. Of COURSE it would happen with a brand new car, too.

I mean, that's the odds with this crew... but does the GLI even have plates on it yet?!

I would be bummed. Hopefully no injuries.

I'm going to guess 8K repair bill.

Yes. Cops came and were great.

I filed an uninsured motorist claim and I’m going to let them go after him. I don’t have the time or energy to try getting blood from a stone.
