Re: It would mean a lot if you can help me with this lease. Is this acceptable?
Credit score is 750Perfect - you should expect to get the MF we've provided, then. Anything higher represents the dealer reaching into your pocket for more money.

RE.: The old Filer sign...it's tucked away in the basement of our historical society building. It's funny--a former local is filming a horror movie in and around the area now (his second there)...they could film a horror movie in the basement of our historical society! When we moved the sign down there, I could hear 'rustling'.
Anyway, as a minor update, I was interviewed by the local newspaper about it May 9 as an aid to help me sell it for the historical society. My sister was murdered the next day and I told the paper I didn't want my name, phone number, and email in the article as the murderer's family lives near there. (it happened in Arizona.) A few days passed and I asked just to withhold the article for the time being. I could probably get away with them not having my name in it it at all, just the historical society info, but my heart's not much into it now. I'll try it again when the mood hits.
My original goal was to get $100 for the historical society. I donated that myself recently, and the daughter of the family who owned the dealership, gave a much-more generous donation herself, excited that I and a friend 'saved' the sign. She's also sending me a gift card to a fancy restaurant about ten miles away, that her family always enjoyed back in the day for holiday meals. Very generous of her. I do hope I can find someone who wants the sign, eventually.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
Thanks. My brain is full of minutiae like that. I didn't play sports, and didn't have a girlfriend, so absorbed brochure info, at least on cars I liked, like a sponge.I would be tempted to respond with something equally wrong like "I worked at Chevrolet Division from 1970 to 2005 and was in charge of producing brochures for our models until 1980. If I had to correct your information, that means you were wrong. Any questions?"
On a different subject, on FB someone posted a lime green '76 Vega Kammback that looked new in every respect. I still like the looks, and the reliability was WAY improved by that time. Someone posted under it, flatly, "Not a Kammback. Those were the panel trucks. This is a station wagon".
I replied, "Wrong. Kammback is the wagon. The panel was the 'Panel Express'. Easily verifiable by the brochures online".
His response: "Nope".
A few people 'liked' my comment.
I wished to reply to his "nope", "Dope", but I didn't.
Man, car stupidity on Facebook is rampant.

Well craptastic, main floor ac crapped out. I changed the capacitor but the contactor was stuck (thankfully on) and fan motor seized. A little Liquid wrench and we are back in business until it can be repaired.

Wow, I was SO wrong in my assessment. That’s incredible something that appears moderately damaged is that severe. I hate that.
