Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
The spare in the Club Sport is underneath the trunk floor. In 30 years of ownership I've only removed it once, and that was so I could have easier access to the fill plug on the differential when I was changing the fluid.

- 9 Nine Taco Bells.....there are so many jokes here, I have to let it go.
- Keyboard - 100% always use a regular desktop style keyboard unless I am in a meeting where I take my laptop off the dock
- Refs - It is what it is, the Eagles got away with a false start on a tush push against KC and certainly are paying for it. Two BIG no calls in 4th Qtr. The Eagles have themselves to blame too. They changed their game plan because the fans and AJ Brown were crying they weren't passing enough. Running the ball and controlling the clock wins games, especially with a good D. I think a loss here was good - let them think about it and regroup. Eagles are still a contender to win the bowl again IMO
- Packing - we always try and get ahead of it, my wife is a planner. If it was just me, I'd probably do it the night before. When I traveled for work heavily I'd be known to do it the morning of.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
After over 9 months of retirement I'm finally going to get some track time. My son and I are doing the M Intensive School at IMS, and a few weeks later the Club Sport will hit the track for the first time since 2012.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
The view from the driver's seat in those old 911's is great.
The two fender humps really keep you focused forward.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
When I was a young kid there were two friends of my family who drove Porsche 911s, and I got to ride around several times with them. I could tell they loved their cars. Even going the speed limit was fun in those 911s and felt pretty raw. I can still kinda hear in my mind the sounds those engines and manual shifts made more than half a century ago. Seeing this car at the Euro get together brought back some good memories.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
The only reason you want your tires to be close in diameter is when you have an AWD system or differential that would see the difference in diameter as wheel slippage- and would then possibly cause the clutches to wear excessively. That applies to all tires- RFTs or not.Not necessarily. That won't work with some flats, especially on the sidewall. Don't forget if you have Run Flats, it will probably mean buying two tires, they have to be close in treadwear. Was thinking about the last time I had a flat tire.......Probably in the '80s. Now, you just inject "goo" in your tire, and empty a can of air into it, and go get another tire.I was stranded away from home once. My oldest son and I were looking at colleges and developed car trouble. AAA towed the car to the nearest service place. I rented a car and we resumed our trip. A few days later the car was repaired so I drove the rental car to the service place (about and hour or so drive for me) , turned in the rental and picked up my car. No sleazy hotel stays required.I haven’t been stranded on the road since the 1980s. Somehow I got a tow truck to respond (no cell phones) and was towed to a garage where the mechanic just happened to have a spare alternator laying around and he slapped it on well enough to get me home. It failed several months later and my regular mechanic said it wasn’t even an alternator for my car brand and it had been so jury rigged that it was bound to fail.
Whatever caused the problem was unusual, it’s so long ago now I don’t even remember. No amount of pre-worrying and planning would have changed anything. Things happen. You deal.
The LF RFT on my C43 had an impact bulge on the inner sidewall and my SA told me that there was no need to replace the RF tire- even though it had 14,400 miles on it.
