Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
@Michaell
So nicely written, I’m very sorry for loss. Like others have said way too young.

Sorry for you loss @Michaell. I lost my best friend by a freak accident in 2016. Truly sad and painful. I cherish the good memories of him and his family.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Yep, seems like we can't rent any newer Pacifica's right now and even our chase vehicle was taken away last Thursday and they've put us into a Hyundai Tucson for the forseeable future. Drives decent enough. I've got the keys with me now as our weekend lead went on a 3-week vacation so I've been entrusted with the keys as we're not sure who our lead will be to cover. Thought it would be me or a weekend co-worker but I've been entrusted with the keys. We meet at a different location on the weekends, a local branch, so we have a dedicated vehicle for the weekends. Like the weekends as it's supposed to be 6 hours on Saturday and 5 on Sunday, though we usually go over like this past weekend. No matter really for once we're there, what's another hour or two. And the extra $ is nice to have. This really is a decent part time gig for a retiree such as many in here. And the benefits are nice to, much better then Hertz ever was! Might go down to 3-days sooner then later depending on when my other half cuts back her hours. We're still kicking around moving to Northern Florida some time in 2027.
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
A lot of the automotive creators I follow have occasionally mentioned that - jrgo just had an episode where he had the epiphany that doing YT content is doing nothing for his retirement, so he's started to put money away.@kyfdx said:
Sounds exhaustingThat’s what I think. Being “on” all the time, having to film your life all the time, no off time for risk of becoming irrelevant in the algorithm? No thanks.

May go back today to test drive this one, which was sitting in a whole row of Broncos. Didn't know it was a '24 leftover until I saw it on line when I got home.I'd definitely get the Bronco; the Bronco Sport is just an Escape in drag.
