Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
I just want the car fixed and my diminished value. I read my policy last night and I should be fine. Found a certified VW collision center not far from me and I’ll call them tomorrow morning.
What an absolute pain.

If insurance issues a check DV, put it toward your loan to pay off early and reduce the interest charged.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
It was brutal out today. I mowed my yard around 8:00 PM and, once I finished, wished I had waited another 45 minutes before starting.I mowed around Noon, yesterday Not great, but it only takes me 25 minutes. I knew today would be worse, and I started drinking at 4 PM, so last night was out..

Time to trade. That GLI is tainted.
Think of it as a buying opportunity.Dude, you are BAD!
When I was in residency, I drove by a ChiChi’s on margarita night and was hit so hard on the driver’s door that I had to climb out of the passenger side. I traded it wrecked after getting a couple of estimates. And yes, I know I went to an inferior medical school and an inferior residency but they have served me well🤣
Ouch! But yes your medical school and residency program have served you quite well!
When you look at the numbers, most of us went to inferior medical schools. - although mine is the largest MD program in the US. Surprisingly , Harvard turns out mainly primary care. Now that there are more women going to medical school, primary care is more popular. Good to see some female orthopedic surgeons and other specialist surgeons too.

Assuming his damage was moderate he was probably back on the road an hour later. Thanks NY.
Many years ago a good HS friend of mine was waiting between 2 parallel parked cars to cross the street in Patchogue, NY and an uninsured driver lost control, hit one of the cars resulting in the loss of one of his legs. His medical bills were paid but there was no one to sue for compensation for a hard working man with family and kids having to live the rest of his life with only one leg.
He was a Master spackler by trade and after being fitted with a prosthetic leg he went back to work and told me the younger guys still couldn't keep up with him.
I had a woman who worked for me have a very similar thing happen at the Philly airport. Out of control cab driver plowed right into her while she was standing on the curb. No loss of limb but many broken bones and other injuries. She nearly died. Luckily he was insured and her medical care as well as a very substantial payment eventually came her way. She was out of work for over six months.

Assuming his damage was moderate he was probably back on the road an hour later. Thanks NY.He was in a ‘94 Camaro making a left turn to go the opposite direction from me. He peeled out going way to fast on bald tires, got up to 25-30 and lost control, spun around twice and jumped the median into me. GLI took the hit like an absolute champ.
No insurance, but to his credit he stuck around and took his licks. Cited for reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, and failure to insure. I submitted a claim to Safeco because I’m expecting this is gonna be a solid 3-4K+ of damage between the rear door, rear quarter panel, and bumper cover.
