Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Only drama was the salesman got into the passenger seat to show me the features. We filled it up and I headed home. There was a wreck on 24 and I was a good hour away when he called asking me if I saw another customer’s drivers license in the passenger seat. I didn’t see anything.
He called back an hour later and asked me to feel around and I found the other dude’s driver’s license in the space between my center console and the passenger seat. I was almost home and the other customer asked if I would turn around and come back…. Umm no.
The salesman drove to my house and picked up the DL. 3.5 hours each way because the guy was flying out on Tuesday. I offered to take it to FedEx on Saturday and overnight it if he paid for the shipping but the sales dude opted to come get it.

Successful pick up of the Heritage blue / portobello 4Runner limited. Several random people commented that it was a beautiful truck.
They did do matching tint on the front two windows at no charge for reasons unknown to me.
Drove well on the way home.
Pics tomorrow

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
Plus our local news station I like (6ABC) streams the news for free
It’s the best news in Philly @stickguy will back me up on this.

I am at the stage in life where I don't want to have to navigate systems to get local news, or find sports channels, or watch Judge Judy etc.
I am willing to pay for convenience and get the channels I want.
It isn't my money, I am spending my children's inheritance money.
In all honesty if it was just me I’d have internet only. I could care less about the rest. I get my news from the internet and don’t watch much TV
My kids and mom watch the most.
YouTube and maybe Netflix would be more than enough

We were paying $240 a month for TV Cable, internet and $100 a month for Bell telephone. Over $350 a month with taxes.
Bell put in new Fiber Optic and said they'd give us all 3 for $140 a month. I signed up, they'd install it in one week.
My current cable company said they would give me a better deal. I said impossible.
He worked out to $125 a month for all 3. The Bell system is better, but I don't want to return my cable stuff and learn a new method, and people we know who switched went back to the cable company, friends had issues when they needed help, Bell has poor customer service, their prices skyrocket after the deal expires, their agents are in some country where English must be a 10th language.......the cable company has agents who speak English.
I am glad we didn't switch!
Honestly all you really need these days is a good 300 mb/s or more internet connection and then just pick your streaming services.
We have Gigibit at home (1000+) and 300 at the shore. I notice a difference so more is better.
I’d say 300 is the min these days if you’re streaming and working from home.

Is it hard to decide between a reserve and no reserve?
I do have a reserve since I don’t want to give it away, but it’s well below my purchase price.
