Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Subies and RAV4's. I live on a dead end dirt road and the 4 neighbors upstream from us used to have Forrester's and now have RAV4's.I thought that was Vermont, where every Subie has a kayak mounted on top. And, $14,000? That seems pretty Fairbanks-like, but then what do I know? The value of the dollar is plummeting so quickly, an Old Farmer Special is going to cost $20K on a good day before long. It’s Colorado, where Subaru is the state vehicle.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
it has been a long time since I bought a moderately well used car (and may never again) but if I did, I would still follow my old rules of changing all the fluids that I did not know for sure had recently been done.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
The company I have now has been really good with claims. That's excellent info to have. My neighbor, OTOH, bragged about switching homeowner carriers and gushed about how good the new carrier was, so I asked whether she'd had a claim. The answer was no. So, all we really know is that the new carrier is good at taking her money.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
my take is that after 40 years, the only thing an insurance company has ever done for me is take my money. So going with the one that takes the least seems like the smart way to go.
