Not much beyond what you see above. The ECM is part of the vehicle theft system and has to be programmed to the car so a used one won't work. There are some aftermarket companies that repair ECMs and can help with these cars. This is NOT a reccomendation, it is merely a sample of what is out there today. Back in 1994 my wife and I really wanted a Montero SR- but every Mitsubishi dealer we dealt with wanted to play stupid games. We ended up with a 1993 Pathfinder SE; it served us well for 8 years.
